Scary centipede inside sleeve

On the date we was ready to have breakfast my wife was creaming there a a huge centipede inside the sleeve. What a crap and luckily we did not get bitted the whole night long. We told them and they came to kill it but we felt our nice stay already went bad... We will not stay there anymore

Great boutique Japanese ryokan in Beppu.

We loved Sennari Ryokan. It is only 3 minutes walk from the Beppu train station, yet once you stepped into the ryokan, you feel like you have entered a quiet and beautiful Japanese ryokan in the past The food was great, and the three private baths are wonderful. We would come back again.

Very nice stay. Excellent place near the station

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was typical Japanese style, but it was very comfortable and clean. The sitting area in front of the garden was especially nice. We opted for a room with a private bath and enjoyed it very much. The baths here aren't really public, since you can lock the door when you go into them, but we much enjoyed the private outdoor bath anyway. Wifi worked well and breakfast was very good. The staff are incredibly friendly and speak great English. They also provided tea and coffee (somewhat rare in Japanese hotels) in the room. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely ryokan

Really lovely traditional Japanese inn, very close to the train station. Staff were lovely, room was really nice. Three private onsen for guests to use which were really nice. Traditional breakfast included which was enormous and delicious. Rooms look out onto a nice garden. Overall a great place, good value for the quality. Be aware there is an 11pm curfew, and check in is requested before 7pm ( we arrived at 8pm which we called to tell them and it was fine).
