Wonderful place to relax, meet old friends, share a meal, enjoy a green setting. We had a small suite that was perfect for wine and cheese gatherings. The space is divided into a bedroom/bathroom, clean and comfortable, and a living room with mini-kitchen with microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator, sink, some dishes, and toaster. And a neat fully-functional gas fireplace for ambiance, as we admired the golf course view. Staff very obliging with extra coffee and supplies. Resort grounds very attractive. Ate at Niblicks and the café -- both good. Site is slightly remote from any town but worked for our purposes.
Enjoyed the swimming pools. Rooms were above average. Cafe was pretty good; food was a very good value. Best thing about the resort was actually the proximity to the outdoors activities. The golf course looked great but didn't have time to play any rounds.
Loved the Condo! Loved everything! Eagle Crest is beautiful and the friends I brought was there first time and they loved it as well. Will be back next June for our stay to attend the sisters Rodeo. I have stayed a few times in the hotel but the great family time to all stay in the condo was great.
First let me say, the customer service and maid service were very good. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was over shadowed by poor sleep, lack of hot food availability, and a cold shower start. It was our first time at the Eagle Crest Resort. We brought guests with us. We gave them the king-sized bed and had the unfortunate opportunity to sleep on the trundle bed. It was small, very hard and slanted. I've slept on trundle beds… but this one was horrible. So, after a very bad night of no sleep and discomfort, I was greeted with a poorly designed shower. It's pretty to look at but not functional. The glass doesn't move forcing you to step into the shower to turn it on. You are blasted with very cold water before it turns warm. Not a way I like to wake up. You can’t turn the shower head as it is immovable. Great... From there the we decided to explore the area, as were not golfers, we chose to go hiking to see what Central Oregon's mountain terrain was about. After a long day of hiking, we were looking forward to a hot meal and relaxation. We arrived back at the Resort at 4:20. With three cafes and a restaurant what could go wrong. Guess again... The cafe in the hotel doesn't open until 5:30, the cafe by the restaurant closes at 5:00, consequently they don’t offer hot food after 4:30 because they turn the grill off, and the Restaurant doesn't serve dinner until 5:00 but we can go to the bar. Not possible, since we have our 9-year-old grandchild with us. Our guests left the premises to drive to Redmond in search of a hot meal. My husband and I were too tired to drive any further so opted for cold sandwiches. My cheese panini sandwich was served cold, flat and hard; almost too hard to eat; rubber would have tasted better. Later in the evening, our guest and my husband decided to go the bar. My husband was still very hungry and had hoped to get a beer and something hot to eat. He wasn't offered a menu nor could he get one. Of course, he excused it by saying they were busy. To me, this is not an excuse. Too busy to offer a menu? >:( The next morning, we were greeted with our bill, which was $60 more than we had expected. I base this on the phone call when I made the reservations. I triple checked all fees and the total bill amount. We didn't get our discount and were also surprised with an 8% resort fee. I disputed the bill the very morning we received it. I was told I’m sorry for your discomfort then I was told the manager was not in and that the customer service desk could do nothing about it but I was assured the manager would call so that we could clear up the dispute. I have not heard from anyone as of yet. We had hoped to show our guests a good time and show off a some of Oregon. It was soured. To say the least, this was a very poor experience for all of us. We will not be back nor will we recommend the resort to our friends and family. Our guests have expressed the same.
First time at this resort. I booked a king suite, which was advertised as having a golf course view from the patio. But when we checked in, they tried to give me a room with a parking lot view (seriously?!), but were able to get the room we wanted. Room was on the same floor as the lobby so my husband, who is disabled, didn't have to walk too far. Lovely patio viewing the Resort Golf Course, fairly good size suite. But....kitchen had a Keurig one-cup coffeepot which didn't work, we called the front desk to complain and housekeeping brought another one. She said they still have some of the old drip coffee pots, did we want that? We said yes, as we always bring our own coffee. Living room couch was very hard and uncomfortable, as was the single chair. Two barstools in the kitchenette were OK. Bed very hard, weird long pillows. Toilet very low to the floor, and nothing to hold onto, so hard for my husband to stand up (in future, I will be making a point to look more closely for ADA specific lodging). Shower is open with a stationary glass opening halfway across, so you have to actually get in to turn the water on which of course blasts you with a cold spray. Tiny shelf for soap and things, no bar to hold onto. On the upside: good breakfast at the Aerie Café. Great dinner at the Niblicks and Greens restaurant (large portions, bring your appetite). And the Resort Golf Course was a joy to play on, with friendly staff. We stayed in early June and mid-week, so not too busy at either the resort or the golf course, though I suspect later in the summer it's probably much busier with conventions and vacationers. Staying there mid-week was probably a good thing, since we are older and like quiet (since we can't camp anymore). If the rooms were improved, we would stay again.
Good for golfers, conferences, weddings. The property is located in a rural setting with miles of walking trails and good biking lanes. We found ourselves driving 15-20 minutes off-site every day to get coffee, shop or to eat in Tumalo and Bend, although there are restaurants on the property. We were there for a conference, otherwise we prefer to be in town.
We were in a two bedroom condo type from Sunday to Sunday with a view of the Deschutes Canyon. The unit was very clean and well maintained with a good supply of kitchen items. The HVAC worked fine. Our unit has not been remodeled but we were told it was on the schedule this year. The Resort property is in good condition and the golf and other activities seem very family friendly. All staff interactions were good. The resort is located between Redmond and Sisters and Bend is easily reached in about twenty minutes without going through Redmond. Central Oregon has many many activities for all ages; plan to stay a while, although you could have a fun time without ever leaving the resort property. I would describe this resort as a "family" place with a wide selection of included or moderately priced activities, compared to a "high end" championship golf resort. p.s.Wifi in our unit was slow and inconsistent
We had a two bedroom "townhouse". It was fully equipped and nicely decorated. There is one bedroom upstairs (king bed, Jacuzzi tub, walk in shower, outside balcony, double sink - note: there are two steps to get 'up' to the shower/Jacuzzi) and one bedroom downstairs (twin beds) with a bathroom next door (not connected to the bedroom). In the downstairs bathroom was a good size washer/dryer. The living room contained a gas fireplace. The kitchen was well stocked with ample supplies; there was nothing we needed that wasn't there. Our unit overlooked the golf course, others overlooked the river. There was a nice size deck with a gas BBQ and a table with four chairs on the deck. There was a schedule of fitness activities (pool/gym was within walking distance and well-equipped) but not a schedule of other events. Internet was strong and reliable. I would definitely stay here again.
This is a comfortable and well equipped condo. We enjoyed time on bikes, hikes and just enjoying sunsets on the deck sipping wine. Staff was great. Well manicured grounds. Lots to see and do around the whole area.
We attended a four day conference here in early June, 2017 and it was quite adequate. The on-site food services were not five star, but Redmond is only 15 minutes away. There is a very nice outdoor swimming pool and the grounds are beautiful with an adjacent golf course. All the staff were excellent. Our room was well organized, with a separate room with couch, two TVs, two bathroom sinks, and a kitchenette with utensils etc. All in all a good choice for our conference with several hundred persons.
