Mercure Wanshang Beijing

The room at the Wanshang was comfortable although the bed was a bit too hard. It was difficult to even get an additional towel as most of the staff don't speak English. The fitness centre is great but they don't provide water or towels. The spa pool is AMAZING!!! Negates the need to pay for a massage. It is a short walk from here to get on to subway line 1 and the Wanda Plaza Shopping Centre is also a short walk. There are plenty of places close by to eat and it was an adventure because ordering was done using a lot of hand signals and pointing to pictures on menus

We were travelling in a group, so the travel agency had booked this hotel. First the room was very old looking and carpets were dirty. Secondly the extra bed did not have a mattress, it was just a small sheet on a wooden plank. No one can sleep on it, so finally I slept on the carpet. Thirdly, despite several complaints from our entire group members the AC was not working properly. Beijing was around 30 degrees at night and the hotel did not have proper air conditioning. Lastly the morning breakfast was so bad, nothing tasted good. On the second day of our stay, almost our entire group was there around 9 for breakfast only to find that most of the items were empty and they did not even refill it. The cook who was making omelet was spitting into a bin kept next to the stove. It was horrible, never have seen such things happen anywhere in the world. If you have a choice, please avoid this hotel.

The room was clean, hommy but make sure to double check when we arrived. stayed for 7 days and We've got an upgrade room, thank to mercure wanshang beijing. Everything is good but communication with hotel staf was very bad because of their english language except the manager.

The daily trotting in the city with the wind chill, snow and the polluted air, even with the attractions and now free museum admissions, could be very taxing. Wanshang made returning to it a pleasure. The room is clean, roomy, and well appointed. It's also convenient to the subway, 12 minutes walk. Local fast eats and restaurants are easy to get to. TV has English language programs, even CNN Ia station I don't watch at home). Last bit not least, front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

The Beijing Chinese in this suburb have not come to grips with guests from outside of China. We spent over an hour attempting to get a glass of wine or spirit cocktail in each of their two bars. All too hard ... so we just gave up. This hotel has a small number of “English speaking” staff who only have rudimentary communications skills. However the rooms were neat and clean. Not recommended!!

Was here twice about business. Each stay over month. Service and rooms are good. Massage place in house is absolut perfect, girls are nice and very friendly! Far away from city center, but Taxi is cheep.

The decision to stay in this Mercure hotel was because some friends would be hosted on Wanda Realm Hotel and this Mercure was the nearest hotel and cheaper than Wanda Realm Hotel. And because I am Accor client I always prefer to stay in a Accor hotel. The Mercure Wanshang Beijing hotel is located outside the Beijing central area and near(14 minutes walking) Bajiao Amusement Park Station,Beijing metro Line 01 I arrived at the hotel after 08:00 PM and checkin was fast. Key in hands, eighth floor, room 8808. The size of the room was very good, with plenty of luggage space. Two beds and also a very comfortable armchair and a work desk. The bathroom was big with shower and bathtub. Very comforting. TV set of 32 " with many Chinese channels and two or three in English. The free internet (wi-fi) worked very well during my stay. The gym is sensational, big, full of equipment and with two heated pools. No towel or free water at the gym. Breakfast is served in another building next door. Before paying for breakfast I check the buffet and decided it would be more convenient to take breakfast at Wanda Plaza. I can't talk much about the services because I didn't use it. The staff at the reception could be nicer and smiling.

Nice hotel reasonably priced - about 10-12 mins walk from subway; close to shopping area and shuttle line 16 from Capital airport. Access via side road behind main shopping center. English understood at check-in

me & my wife spend two days 3oth & 31st august 2017 . average hotel & average facilities . Far away hotel , Bad breakfast , slow staff . Room has less facilities , poor room keeping . less toiletring items . overall , avoid , If Possible .

This is a nice and clean hotel in case you are a business man with a private taxi or limo while its really far from city center, we had to change 2 lines in the subway to reach to attractions in the city, and sometimes 16 stations, and taxi was expensive while we were on a budget trip,so if you can pay for the taxi every day its not a bad choice, but don't forget to buy or download Beijing map before going there while the staff barely speak English, they also change money which was good,we didn't check the banks rate but here they changed 100 USD to almost 671 rmb,
