On the whole, I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The check-in staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel environment is serene and quiet. The room is clean and housekeeping service was excellent. Breakfast was good for me as a Chinese. I had enjoyed my stay at the hotel. However, I was not quite but very disappointed with the hotel's Inhouse television programs. I am most surprised that the hotel don't even have LOCAL TV channels, in particular CCTV3, which I find unacceptable as this should be a FREE LOCAL TV CHANNEL. It happens to be one of my favourite local tv channel. This was the only setback for my one week stay at the hotel. I sincerely hope the management of the hotel could kindly consider providing MORE LOCAL TV CHANNELS in particular CCTV3.

The location was convenient: within walking distance of the subway and Olympic stadium. Also close to a large bus line. However, the service was atrocious through our entire stay: after asking for directions to the forbidden city, the front desk attendant gave my family directions to the great wall instead (unbeknownst to us at the time). The hotel also did not have any public area where our family could eat, instructing us that we could not eat in the hotel lounge unless we purchased the pricy hotel food. Throughout our 4 day stay, the hotel never once changed the bed sheets and the sheets in two of the three rooms were soiled when we arrived. After posting a do not enter placard on the door to one of the rooms, the attendants entered anyway. Lastly, the hotel changed the price after the first day of our stay, incrementally raising the price from what they stated to us during to our reservation. Overall, the hotel service was horrid, and I would not recommend staying at this establishment.

Very convenient location. Room is clean and spacious. The extra bed is not very comfortable. Toilet has got no lock. Walking distance to the Olympics sports centre. You can take subway or walk. Staff are friendly.

During the cold winters of Beijing, I stayed at Holiday inn express Beijing Minzuyuan. It’s situated about 30 minutes from the city and located at a distance of 10 minutes from the convention centre. The staff are polite even though they don’t speak English. They were quite courteous and willing to support for simple things such as booking Didi cab using their mobile App. The breakfast is fairly limited on choice and especially more so if you are a vegetarian.

You can sit at a dirty desk, eat rice left by the previous customer, and collect some vegetable leaf with pepper on the step before the French window. And they also provide indoor exercise that you need clean up the room even after the clean lady wiped the desk. The cleaning cloth might be some antique, never washed, which the hotel wanted to expand its collection!! The most terrible thing I experienced was the attitude its duty manager handle this issue!!

Had an 8th floor twin room with large bathroom including walk in shower with semi transparent wall. Breakfast was the most western of the trip, however there was still a mixture of choices. It was a good location as a base for two nights for sight seeing in Beijing at the end of a group visit (6 days walking the Great Wall of China). In October the heating was on (this is not always the case).

Staying here several nights while on business I found the rooms to be fine. Service at the front desk was efficient. The on site restaurant was fine in the morning but at night it was mostly empty and the service varying between surly and sloppy. Menu options were pretty limited with no help if your mandarin wasn’t up to par. Getting to the hotel was tough for taxis due to its odd location off an ally. Walking through that at night to local restaurants was a bit sketchy. It isn’t very pricey but I suspect there may be better options in the area. If not, it is just ok for foreigners.

This is a nice hotel. The breakfast was quite chinese, and bit different from european menu. However, this should not be a surprise or a problem. This is china after all. :) Terrace is nice with the lake and all. Rooms are cleaned as promised and all is ok. There is a mall nearby (just next building) with about 10 restaurants, 5 sports stores (adidas, anta, li-ning) numerous shoe shops, a large supermarket, smartphoneshop, teastore etc. Food was nice at restaurants and few had english menu available. There is also macdonalds.

From 8/4 to 8/8 I have stayed there for four nights. It is close to subway station Beituchen which run line 8 and 10. There is a shopping mall nearby which under renovation, but a grocery supermarket in second floor is still running and you can get almost every thing you need. The room is clean and quiet and breakfast buffet has a lot of choices. The staff there is friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located close to the Olympic Park, which is a pleasant place to walk in the evening as many activities can be seen like dancers in the street or group exercise classes. The subway is also close. Rooms are large and functional. We had no problems with anything. The breakfast was good, taken in the gardens by a pretty lake.
