To be honest, I was not sure I had the correct address to begin with. When I got there, i tried the first door and it was locked, looked quite dark inside. I then proceeded to another door that looked irrelevant as there was a car show but guess what, that was the right door to the lobby of the hotel. Check in was very fast with no hiccups. The staff spoke English which is rare in Beijing..The room was old but clean enough. No real breakfast next morning. For all the glory of the lobby, breakfast is served in 20square meters tacked away area, like 5 tables in all. I checked the menu and asked for fruit salad, only water melon was available. In general very few options to chose from, the staff was very sweet and most apologetic. I still couldn't believe I was at the breakfast area of a hotel and not some cafe in an alley...
The hotel is in a very good location, close to bars and clubs. There are many public transportation choices near by. The negative thing during my stay was the fact could not speak English and finally the bathroom was not very clean. The toilet was not collecting properly so a staff member had to come in my room every day to pump the water in the toilet as it was clogged. The bedroom in general was clean and tidy. For the cost I was at least expecting a clean bathroom and some English Speaking employees.
The hotel is located near Sanlitung, the famous shopping and bar district in Beijing. From here it is very easy to go sightseeing. The rooms are clean and appropriately furnished. The breakfast is ok, but could be much better.
I was there on June 6 and June 11,12. The hotel is in a very convenient location, which is the only reason to stay twice. There is no chairs in the lobby, rather there is no lobby. It is doubled as a car show room. No restaurant or bar in the hotel. No room service although it claims to having one such for 24 hours. Air conditioning was poor on 7th floor and tv was out so they had me changed to 11th floor where it was working finally. May I ask why they gave me a defective room? Unlike other hotels in the neighborhood , this one has no concierge service. It is barely a 2 star by Beijing standard. Not worth staying again in the future. Ahmed Farooque Murfreesboro, TN
This is an older hotel with nothing special going for it, except that it is in a very good location, a district filed with interesting shops and restaurants that cater to foreigners as well as locals. Much of old Beijing has been demolished in recent years to make way for bland housing and residential projects, but this area (mostly on the other side of the main road from the hotel) has kept its character. The hotel must have had an imposing lobby at some tine in the past, but most of the lobby is now given over to a car showroom, with a reception desk tucked away in one back corner and a small restaurant in the other. The check-in was brisk rather than welcoming. I chose an "executive suite" which was quite large and contained two rooms. The first was a windowless living area, with quite depressing old furniture, and the second a good sized bedroom with comfortable bed, a desk area, and a TV with very limited English programming. What looked like a mini bar turned out to be an empty fridge. Again the furnishings were old and drab. The bathroom was OK, with plenty of hot water for one of those old step-into-the-tub showers. The breakfast buffet had a modest selection but you could do better in one of the cafes outside the hotel. All in all, a very average place, and below the standard usually expected of Comfort Suies..
Nice hotel in a good location, close to shopping. Fresh spacious rooms, though, I didn't enjoy the restaurant, but according to colleagues, it's quite ok. The menue shows promising results, but I ended up at McDonalds, my need for western fast food getting the best of me.
Stayed in this hotel for multiple times during my frequent business travel. This hotel is in great location, right in sanlitun area. Nice restaurants around and always busy night life. Rooms are spacious, bit old but maintained well. Ground floor is shared with Hyundai showroom. Rooms are in higher floor. Breakfast place is limited and not much space too. Considering location, good vale for money
very convenient location near bars, restaurants, shops, subway station, 3rd ring,... Rooms are large enough but some may be a bit old. Be careful, some pictures shown may let believe that there is a swimming pool, but there is no swimming pool! The swimming pool belongs to a sports club and you need to pay to get access to it.
We stayed there for 4 nights, the room was big and clean. It is very well located, near to the metro station of Tuanjiehu (5 min walking) and it is on the heart of Sanlitun!. Another interesting point is that the breakfast has some choices for westerns! Wifi available for free in the room! I'd recommend!
Only one person on check-in. Very tired lobby and lifts. The rooms are large and clean, the beds comfy and the location is excellent. At 800 it represented the worst value we have had so far on this trip. The wifi worked well and with no password.
