This was our second visit to this hotel using the park and fly package they offer, we ate in the bar the night before we flew, a good choice of food on the menu, you could also opt to eat in the main restaurant.
A couple of days ago I visited this hotel, as I had to attend a driving course. I was there way too early so I sat down to a table to wait. One of the waitress, Maria came to me straight offering me some beverages so I decided to have a meal as well. Maria is a very smiley and fast waitress. The service was excellent, the food was tasty and the price is affordable. The people at the reception are also very friendly.
Very reasonably priced for a one night business stay. Large, clean rooms, very comfy bed and helpful staff. If it wasn't for the constant low noise of a heating fan all night - it would have been perfect. You do have to pay £5 a night for parking - as the land outside the hotel is owned by others.
Fantastic. Room was very clean. Upon arrival, the reception team was very busy but had time to make me feel welcomed and check in was quick. The ladies at the bar were extremely friendly and always had a smile on their faces, nothing seemed to be too much for them. Maria needs an extra special mention. Absolute pleasant evening at the Hilton Luton - Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
This is not the first time this situation happens to me. I usually go to this hotel to have lunch, as I work nearby. This Tuesday I arrived to the hotel sometime around 4 o'clock, I ordered my food as usual, but the service i received was really sad. The staff were chatting, like they were having a tea brake while i wanted to order my food. They were not even looking around, if there is anyone who might need them. As I was going there from work in my break time, I cant just sit around wait for the staff to finish their obviously very important conversations. Then I called one of the staff over, who's name was Sam, and she was being unfriendly and kinda looked bored. After waiting so much, I expect a sorry or at least a forced smile on their faces. This does not happen every time, there are times when I am happy with the service, but unfortunately about a month ago there was a very similar situation which is unacceptable.
Stayed here quite a few times and every time I have enjoyed my visit. Just stayed here one night whilst visiting family in the area. All of the staff here are very friendly and we were greeted with a welcome. Our room was on the first floor (there are only two floors). We had a twin room which was a lovely large size with everything you could need including a fridge and safe. The bar area is comfortable and the breakfast is amazing, all buffet style and you just help yourself to a huge choice. Will definitely be back.
I stayed there a couple of times. Clean and big rooms, Staff are very friendly ,at reception and helpful to what I requested . Maria from restaurant she was very helpful friendly and professional and fast. Nice foods and draught beers.
This is my third stay here since February this year. The hotel is always cold, one staff member admitted it’s an ongoing issue. In fact, he ran around to find me a plug in radiator to sit next to me in the restaurant. The air con in the rooms just seems to pump out cold air despite the in room thermostat being turned fully to the plus symbol for temperature. I get a twin room so I can nick the quilt off the spare bed to double up on the one I’m sleeping in. This is all pretty standard throughout my first and second visit. The third visit - I’m here now - is the one to convince me to not stay here again. No mention of heating or water issues when I collected my key card. This morning I had a tepid shower which quickly became cold water. I complained this morning (politely) and also commented on how cold the room is still. They said they would check the air conditioning and that there is an issue with the boiler. I’ve just got back from work - still no hot water. The food is overpriced for what it is. I have supplied a photo of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip bread in. I would say it’s 90% olive oil and 10% balsamic - wasn’t particularly nice and would expect to see more balsamic than that! All this for £145 a night? I don’t think so. I’m working up here for sometime so Hilton could have made some serious money off my company. They won’t now.
Lovely hotel really enjoyed our night here. Lovely big rooms with modern ensuite! The only issues I had were it appeared to be in the middle of nowhere (we needed to get a taxi everywhere) and the car park charges are a bit steep!
After our last stay here that was a very disappointing one, we spoke to the lovely Petra about our grievances. After explaining why we were so unhappy she very kindly offered us a one night stay here as a gesture of goodwill. Well all I can say is that we were very pleasantly surprised. We were greeted with professionalism and were given our favourite room as requested. Once entering our room which was lovely there was a knock at the door where we were presented with a bottle of sparkling wine. We then went to the bar and on our return there was a birthday card and a cake awaiting us. We both felt that this was such a lovely gesture by all the staff and most definitely exceeded our expectations. Our faith has now been restored in this hotel thanks to the fact that we were listened to and our plight was dealt with a friendly and caring attitude. We would like to say a very big thank you to all the staff, especially Petra for making our stay here a wonderful experience. We will be staying here again soon..!!
