Nothing fancy, but nothing horrible...inexpensive, very 70's style hotel except for bed which was quite comfortable.

Pros: very nice, helpful, and friendly staff. Very close to anything you need in town. Cheapest rates. Cons: Bathroom had used panties in it before I even got my bags unloaded, cigarettes were still left in ashtray, fridge smelled like mildew, and paperthin walls meant I could hear people having loud relations several rooms away. Also about 90% sure back parking is used for drug deals due to seclusion and not well lit. One car parked for over an hour and had several other vehicles stop by for just a few minutes then leave. Not sure if I'll stay here again.

Great for a quick overnight stop. Clean and quiet.

The hotel itself is very old. The staff is polite; but "cold". The continental breakfast is OK.

Due to WV floods we were required to overnight someplace and these guys had room. I guess finding a bottle of shampoo in my toilet upon arrival was a bit of a turnoff. Everything else as one would expect in a cheap roadside motel.

Welcoming front desk staff. Clean room. Good value for price. Nice complimentary breakfast.

It was worth the money. The location is superb. The lady in the reception area was very helpful and accommodating.

First day stay was good. On the second stay there was no room service. When I tried to call the front desk to complain, there was no cord from the phone to the phone jack. Maintenance replaced the cord and brought clean towels; however, the soiled towels were not taken or waste cans emptied. We completed our stay after the third night.

The bed was like sleeping on a concrete floor, the sink was very slow to drain and the wardrobe and dresser shook as you walked past. For the price you don't even get coffee for the coffee pot. Will never stay there again!

I was very happy that I didn't need to worry about my prepaid arrangements. Breakfast was satisfactory and the staff were helpful and kind. My only unexpected encounter was to learn that my room would be on the third floor in another building on property...just saying. :)

Hotel is in midst of some up-grading, but the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We will probably stay there again.

The Econo Lodge Beckley is a quite depressing place. When you enter the hallway to the rooms a strong smell of smoking welcomes you. Yuck! The rooms are dark with very little lighting; when you open the curtains to let in some natural light, you look out against a wall with a little opening in front of it - even the sight of a parking lot would be more uplifting. The breakfast room has the charm of a waiting area of a train station, nobody wants to sit there! Overall, the place needs a serious face lift to become attractive to guests!

Easy check in, great staff, room was ready and clean....close to everything to do.

It was a very short night for us(6hrs), but the rooms where clean and comfortable. The front desk was wonderful!

Good place to stop passing through. Nice continental breakfast. Make sure to stop at the local visitor center, I think it's called Tamarack, wonderful, huge arts and craft facility.

Good location close to Coal Mine Exhibition. Friendly staff.

The hotel was clean and roomy. It was a good value for the price and had a very good location to the interstate and breakfeast! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stop in for a night and get back on the road without going through traffic!
