It was a fine hotel. But it didn’t measure up to the glowing reviews I read beforehand. It was newer, so that was nice. I want impressed with the TV in the room. Pretty basic, and no streaming services. Also, maybe it’s my tech ability, but the thermostat was a bit challenging to operate simply. Also, if you stay there, make sure you get a room NOT on the first floor. We had to, as we booked it close to our visit, and we wanted a king bed. The breakfast was good, better than other chain. We might stay there again, but will look at other options first.

The property was beautiful and the location was perfect and walkable to everything. The only thing I did not like was the walls were a little thin and could hear our neighbors enjoying themselves a little too much if you know what I mean 😉. Other than that, great property.

We stayed at the Margaritaville Compass Hotel for a weekend getaway, and overall it was a decent experience, but definitely an expensive one. Between the room, food, drinks, and parking, we spent around $1,000 for the weekend, so my expectations were pretty high. The hotel itself was very clean, and the rooms had beautiful views overlooking the marina, which was probably one of the highlights of the stay. The pool area was also very nice and had a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good, and the drinks were definitely strong, so no complaints there. That said, the menu prices throughout the property felt extremely overpriced for the quality and portions. Parking was also frustrating unless you paid extra for valet service. The self-parking spots are very tight and don’t comfortably fit many vehicles, so I’d recommend planning ahead or trying to find street parking if possible. One positive is the location — it’s within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars, and attractions, which made getting around easy. However, during our stay there were only two entertainment shows the entire weekend, which was disappointing considering the amount we spent. I expected a little more activity and entertainment for the price point. Overall, it feels very tourist-oriented. While the property is clean and has some nice features, I’m not sure I would return given the overall cost versus value.

It's a nice little spot. But if you pay for a premium room with a balcony & a view, beware, they put us on the first floor with a baby gate separating us from the tint pool and the bar. And, half of the "view" was obstructed because they put an outdoor shower in front of the "balcony", so it was just a chair in a tiny boxed in corner. To know I paid as much for this room as the people on the third story bothers me quite a bit... But, the staff? Bar none! Friendly, helpful, goes above and beyond. Just don't try to call, because my God... The system they have is a mess! If you're expecting a similar experience to a Margaritaville hotel, you won't get that here. The breakfast is ok- but it's not the high-end experience you pay for. But the beds are comfy, and it's nice. I will not stay again. It's more of a $150-$200 experience. Hilton's delivery MUCH better for the price we paid.

Very nice new and comfortable hotel and rooms. Excellent breakfast and nice lively bar. Location close to Marina is very nice and close to historic center and waterfront within walking distance. Staff not very engaging but OK. Strange parking policies, parking spaces on the property are "valet" while there are plenty free spaces especially in the off season so it is very empty at the hotel parking and full at the free public parking.

Our room was clean and supplied with ample linens and bath amenities. The breakfast bar was excellent with a wide array of options all of which were delicious. We enjoyed the margaritas and appetizers in the restaurant. The staff were welcoming, courteous and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Our room was clean and spacious. The staff was awesome!! Summer was our FAVORITE in the bar!!!! Breakfast was a perfect mix of hot and cold food options, with eggs that actually looked like eggs!!! :-) Location was perfect, just a short walk to the waterfront. (My negatives - which would not discourage me from going back AT ALL, I would have liked a little table and chairs for a couple to sit at based on the amount of extra/empty space in the room & the closet was TINY compared to the room space. I am not a fan of the no door showers because the floor always gets wet and there is no carpet in the room so floors were a little cold and potentially slippery)
