Too Damp To Dry

The only complaint I have is that the room always felt damp. I hand washed an item of clothing, cotton, not thick on Wednesday night and it was still not completely dry on Sunday morning. A de-humidifier is desperately needed in this room.

The hotel was clean, the rooms were clean and the service was nice. The only thing that needs attention is the pool. The pool was dirty. But besides that we loved the hotel.

The pool was a main draw for choosing this property. The day we arrived, it was green and smelled of urine. Many people complained, and it was ultimately shut down. By the day we were checking out, it was finally opened again, but still did not look swimmable. The room cleaning is done every other day, which is okay, but when they did come, there was no restock of toilet paper, nor a check on any of the shampoo or conditioner. You had to go to the front desk and ask for more supplies.

Breakfast was just ok. We were hot in the room at night and asked for a fan but the front desk didn't have any at all. The pool was small and there was heavy traffic on the interstate (we could also see the interstate) so being in the pool while there was heavy trafiic was not great because we could smell all the exhaust.

It is rare to report being pleasantly surprised these days, but we were! Room was clean, modern, spacious, and well appointed. Hotel and room smelled like a spa. Staff were very accommodating with a special request, also friendly and cheerful. We had an issue with our blinds not working, and the night guest clerk came and helped us fix it right away. The area felt safe and quiet. The breakfast buffet was very good (you must try the biscuits!) I do not hesitate to recommend.
