The breakfast was less than what I have experienced at other places. Very cheap for items such as no yogurt in fridge, only one fruit to choose from. Rooms were clean but of the two nights stayed the police was called as a scene went down in parking lot that was disturbing. Place has changed ownership since last time I stayed there a few years back but seems the area has went down since that time which is not the fault of the hotel.
I made my reservations on Jan 20, 2018 for a March 30 2 night stay. I requested room 131 in which I stayed in for Thanksgiving weekend stay in November 2017. Room 131 was really nice & I even suggested to friends to stay there, too. When I arrived on Friday, March 30, I was given room 147. I said that I requested room 131 but was told they gave it to someone else. Room 147 was horrible! The carpet was old and had torn places! The light on the table had to be plugged in for it to work! Never mind that you request a certain room, you won't get it! I will never stay there again and I don't recommend anyone else to stay. You will have to eat breakfast at the Waffle House if you want a hot breakfast. I will spend $100 a night before I ever stay there again!
The rooms and bathroom was dirty, they room smelled moldy, The bed linens had stains, the shower curtain was moldy and ripped. The staff was nice and courteous. Location was ok. I would not recommend this hotel.
Convenient location. Staff was ok. Noisy parking lot. Need rooms sprayed for bugs. Comfortable bed. Air conditioner worked well. Did not participate in morning breakfast. Carpet showing signs of aging.
On arrival, the guy at the desk told us, that no non-smoker room would be available. When we proved, that we had booked non-smoker, he stated, it must have been due to communication error, so after all wouldn't be his fault. When I asked for discount, he refused and offered to cancel our reservation. As we had noticed, there was a sign at hotel telling: "Sorry, no rooms available". It turned out, that this was due to the big Baton Rouge flooding which made many homes uninhabitable. Hence we preferred to stay and phoned our travel agency to ask for assistance. After the travel agent had spoken to the guy, we got a 10$ discount. Room smelled moldy and smoky. Interior was battered and we found several stains (see photo) on bed sheet; hence bed sheets weren't renewed. After we complained at front desk the guy told us that we will get some new one, but it will need a while, as he hasn't access to laundry room. When we retuned at night, we found some new sheets put on a chair, but not replaced on beds. Not unexpected breakfast next morning was very simple. So this was the most awful hotel I ever slept in. It's just an ugly trucker stop.
My car was hit with a beer bottle, when I went outside to look at it I was yelled and cussed at by the group of guys that did it. Called front desk all they did was send maintenance to clean up glass. Did not feel safe there and bc I had checked in already they would not refund money even though I had only been there for a few hours. Horrible staff now with new owners could not be any more unhelpful if they tried.
If you're looking to sleep with roaches, this is the place! Killed 3 roaches in my room within the first hour. Very sketchy people staying there. Was terrified to touch anything in the room for fear of catching a deadly disease. When I checked my credit card bill, I noticed a random $5 charge from them. Contacted them several times and they said I should be refunded but still no refund. Filling a complaint with their Corporate office and the Better Business Bureau. AVOID!!!!!!!
This hotel has bed bugs! After being in the room not more than five minutes, the manager did not want to refund my money. I took him to the room to show him the bedbugs. I have to go through my cc company to receive a refund and had to book somewhere else for the weekend.
Having stayed at this hotel years ago, while visiting a very close friend of mine in the area, I thought I would stay there once again. Although I was in town for the weekend once we checked in I decided to just stay the one night. The hotel itself was in good shape and the staff was very pleasant, but the surrounding neighborhood gave me pause, and I was concerned for leaving my mom and wife in the area when I went out to visit my friend. I was pleasantly surprised by the room which was in good shape, and the wi-fi worked without a hitch. All in all it was a good quality stay, and again the staff was really good, but we did move to another hotel closer to my destination the following day.
