If you're looking for a very charming old world english experience this is your hotel. Staff was super friendly it's about a 15 min walk downhill to city center and parking was a plus although a little bit tight. Breakfast was delicious and common rooms and gardens were just beautiful.

Darling house in a neighborhood walking distance to town. Delicious breakfast, cozy lounge/bar area with fireplace, and cheery, helpful staff.

Great experience!!! Nice faculty! Ring the bell when you go in

basically a b n b spruced up, the hotel requires a bus from the town center. stop is about 25 meters from the hotel. for those daytripping to wells and glastonbury, the same bus going to wells stops at the same bus stop adjacent to the hotel, and for 7.5 pounds, you get unlimited access to all buses from bath to glatonbury and back. room is tastefully decorated. if on the top floor, though, there are 35 stairs and no lift. breakfast is a bit formal: its clientele are more the type you would find in the bellamy's drawing room rather than the servants'quarters.

We last visited Bath 10 years ago and stayed at Oldfields B&B. Meeting a good friend from Leeds we decided to renew our acquaintance with both. The second time around was not quite the charm. Bath itself has built an outdoor mall adjacent to the Roman baths and it has transformed a quaint historic town center into a crowded, ill planned, commercialized noisy mess. The numerous stores and fast food eating places have created a teen magnet gathering place overwhelming the Roman architecture and history. As to our accommodations, the same large room we had previous was showing some age, with pillows below the level of an expensive B&B, which it was. The bathroom and accessories were very nice. A proper English breakfast was spoiled a bit by a 9:30 am closing time, and the 10:30 am check out time did not quite comport with a 3 pm check in. The B&B is clean, friendly staff, and a relatively short walk to the town center.

Classic/classy English B&B, superb staff, generous breakfast

Although this sounds like our guest house, we are OLDFIELDS HOUSE, not Darling House. If you did mean Oldfields House, thank you.
