Betulla is a beautiful spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom property, set in a large flat mature garden, with mountain views, within walking distance of all the facilities of the sought after mediaeval town of Barga.

This ample apartment with its own private beach style pool (lit at night) is the perfect choice for adults wishing to be close to popular Barga, and for families looking for a safe enclosed garden with a beach style pool ideal for little ones...

Ideally situated in a convenient residential area, but with a real sense of space and with a mountain backdrop. Free WIFI.

There is a beautiful modern kitchen, fully equipped with all one needs for a holiday. Here there is an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer etc. There is a breakfast bar, and breakfasting table in this room which leads out into the garden where there is a large patio perfect for al fresco dining and relaxing.

A dream for families

We absolutely loved the house. We were a large group with two families: 4 adults & 3 kids total. There was plenty of space, we were quite comfortable, & the outdoor areas were a paradise for families with kids. We spent almost all our time outside. The yard was absolutely huge, & securely fenced, the kids loved the pool, & there was a lovely table under an ivy covered pergola for meals al fresco. The owners live on the property, but you don’t even notice. When we did talk to them, they were wonderful & so very kind. Barga is such a charming town, & you’re surrounded by gorgeous mountains. The old city center is blocked off to traffic, & while it’s actually pretty small, it doesn’t feel like it at first; we loved getting lost in the labyrinth of hilly streets & mysterious staircases that wind out of sight. We didn’t consider it close enough to walk to, especially with kids, but it was a quick few minute drive to central parking lots on the outskirts & you walk in. We originally thought it would be a great base for visiting surrounding areas, but frankly we found driving through the mountains terrifying. We took day trips to Pisa & Lucca, & the Grotta del Vento, & that was all the driving we could stomach. But it was about 6 degrees C cooler up in the mountains, so it was a good trade off in July. And no giant crush of tourists. It was a magical week, & the highlight of our trip. 10/10 recommend.

Well equipped, pleasant and well located (near town, far enough to be quiet). Parking is behind secure gates (but its Barga, so you can leave your keys in), shielded from the house by trees. A stone path takes yup to the entrance, next to a covered dinning area. Neither are far from the loverly pool (great to cool off in, not so good if your planning on swimming lengths). Space is a plenty in the house, with a massive master suite being notable. If its too hot, retire to the cool lounge and partake of the Sky tv (its Italian, but football and rugby abound). Leaving the house a 15 min walk into the town square gives you Conad the supermarket and the wonderful Alpino bar and restaurant - the soul of the town after dark. Don't forget to grab a wonderful ice cream from Giardino on the square! If you fancy a morning coffee and pastry, then the amazingly good value Pasticceria Fratelli Lucchesi down the steps opposite Alpino is a must. Great value food and drink abounds in the old town, a 5 min walk from the square over the old roman bridge. Caffe Capretz is excellent and the small cafe opposite offers the best wine and meat platters you could ever ask for. Wonder the old town, walk to the Duomo at the top and take the views in - you will not be left disappointed. The area has many things to do, walking in the mountains, or my favourite walking the walls in Lucca. Time it right and you can catch a top band at the Lucca festival in July/August. A great house to rent to relax and explore the best part of Italy. Andy.

Nette und diskrete Vermieter. Unterkunft bietet alles was erforderlich ist und ist sehr großflächig. Garten & Pool sind perfekt. Lediglich die Lagebeschreibung bedarf einer Korrektur. Der Fußweg in die Innenstadt ist kein kurzer 10 min Spaziergang. Gerade mit Kindern ist ein Auto stets erforderlich. Ändert aber nichts an der schönen Unterkunft, sollte man nur wissen.

Wir waren mit der Großfamilie samt Kleinkind, Teenagern und Hund unterwegs. Es war für alle direkt am Haus genug geboten. Der Pool ist klasse, zu Anfang wegen der Steinchen allerdings ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig.Der Anstieg nach Barga selbst ist schon ein wenig steil, wir selbst wären es wohl nicht gelaufen, mit Fahrrädern ist es machbar, mit E-Bikes kein Problem.Für die Motorradfahrer unserer Gruppe waren die umliegenden Strecken ein Traum.

Ein super Haus mit einem herrlichen Pool auf einem riesigen Grundstück! Lorenzo und seine Familie sind super Gastgeber: immer für Rückfragen verfügbar und gleichzeitig dezent im Hintergrund! Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist mit allen notwendigen Dingen ausgestattet und die Lage ist super. Supermarkt, Bäckerei, Restaurants sind super gut zu erreichen. Wir können die Unterkunft rundum empfehlen. Der Garten ist hierbei super großzügig und lädt zum Federball/Fussball/Tischtennis spielen ein. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

Entspannung vom ersten Moment an

Der wirklich große Garten mit Pool ist großartig. Wir haben es genossen, uns nach der langen Anreise erstmal im Pool zu erfrischen. Im Pool muss man etwas aufpassen, an den rauen Steinen schürft man sich leicht auf. Alles ist sehr gepflegt. Unsere Hunde konnten frei im Garten herumlaufen, da alles komplett eingezäunt ist. Morgens wurde ich im Garten von einer sehr süßen und zutraulichen Katze begrüßt. Die zweite Katze hielt sich lieber im Hintergrund. Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich, wir wurden herzlich begrüßt. Etwas lästig (das betrifft aber die komplette Gegend, nicht das Haus) waren das ständige Hundegebell in der gesamten Nachbarschaft, auch nachts, und die vielen Mücken.

Wir waren 14 Tage in diesen sehr schönen Haus. Wir waren größtenteils unter der Sonnengeschützen Sitzgruppe. Aufgrund der Grundstücksgröße ideal für Urlaub mit Hund. Eigentümer hielten sich immer im Hintergrund, und waren bei Fragen oder kleinen Problemen zeitnah zur Hilfe da.

Schöner Urlaub in Barga

Wir haben das erste Mal Urlaub in der Toskana gemacht und sind von dem ruhigen Bergdorf Barga verzaubert! Der Ort allein hat viel zu bieten. Man kommt aber auch schnell in die größere und sehenswerte Stadt Lucca (Busfahren lohnt sich!) sowie zu vielen weiteren Zielen. Auch die Nachbarorte wie z. B. Gallicano (Tipp: Restaurant Eliseo und Dolce im Il Goloco) sind zu empfehlen. Die Unterkunft liegt wunderbar im neuen Teil von Barga. Mit einem kurzen Laufweg lässt sich das alte Barga mit seinen Cafés, Restaurants und Geschäften schnell erreichen. Das Anwesen bietet sowohl im Garten als auch im Wohnbereich viel Platz. Ebenfalls im Haus (1.OG und UG) wohnen die Eigentümer. Lorenzo und seine Familie sind nette Gastgeber und als meine Eltern nach einer Filtermaschine fragten, wurde diese eigeninitiativ und umgehend besorgt. Der Garten ist eingezäunt und seine Außenbereiche gepflegt und schön angelegt. Ein großes Plus, da wir mit Hund gereist sind. Die Wohnräume sind im eleganten, toskanischen Stil eingerichtet und die Küche enthält das Nötigste. Der Pool sieht schön aus, auf Grund seiner konischen Form kann man aber lediglich darin planschen. Leider müssen wir die Sauberkeit die wir vorgefunden haben bemängeln. Auch sind Matratzen, sowie Sessel und Sofa auf Grund des Alters abgewohnt. Auch der Belag des Pools (lose Steine) und der Zustand vom Steg (lose Planken) sind nicht mehr optimal. Im Großen und Ganzen haben wir aber unseren Aufenthalt genossen! Es war ein schöner Urlaub!

Tolle Zeit in Barga!

Man bewohnt das Erdgeschoss des sehr grossen Hauses, das auf einem riesigen Grundstück steht. Die Eigentümer wohnen im 1. Stock und halten sich sehr im Hintergrund. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Inneneinrichtung ist auf einem gehobenen 70er/80er-Jahreniveau mit allem was man braucht. Es gibt 2 Terrassen, die man je nach Sonnenstand genutzt hat, alles mit viel Platz. Reichlich Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme waren auch da. Der Pool war ungewöhnlich. Er enthält ein leicht salziges Wasser, was man für eine Elektrolysedesinfektion braucht, also kein reines Chlor. Die Ränder fallen sanft wie ein Strand in den Pool ab. Dadurch ist der Schwimmbereich etwas kleiner, aber ausreichend gross. Hier haben wir viel Zeit verbracht. Barga ist ein sehr sympathisches Städtchen mit einem sehr schönen mittelalterlichen und einem neueren Teil. Es ist sehr lebendig, viel los auf den Strassen und Plätzen, besonders abends. Es gibt eine relativ aktive Musikszene mit häufigen Konzerten. An Restaurants ist die Auswahl gut. Es wirkt alles so, als wäre hier vor allem der Einheimische und der italienische Tourist unterwegs. Ein angenehmer Kontrast zu den sonstigen toscanischen Städten. Ein kleiner Nachteil ist die etwas abgelegene Lage in den Bergen. Da ist es zu den klassischen Highlights schon eine ordentliche Strecke entfernt. Trotzdem, wir haben alles genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

Absolute Entspannung in perfekter Umgebung

Die Ferienwohnung ist riesig, der Garten hat ca. 4000 qm mit Obstbäumen zum Naschen. Der Pool ist sensationell. Die Vermieter wohnen im 1.Stock, sind herzallerliebst - lassen einen aber komplett in Ruhe. Man sieht und hört sie praktisch nicht. Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig und gut aufgeteilt. Aussen gibt es mehrere Terrassen, einen Gas-Grill und einen Holzofen. Es ist soooo ruhig - ein Ort totaler Entspannung! Alles was man braucht kann man zu Fuß binnen ca. 15 Minuten erreichen. Das gesamte Örtchen ist sehr kuschelig, die Einwohner durch die Bank sehr nett. Wir haben uns außerordentlich wohl gefühlt!
