We ended up with a room facing 4 brick walls and pipes - didn't realize we didn't have ANY view until we checked in but decided not to change rooms as we were heading out again to see some things in Barcelona. The guy at the reception desk when we checked in and out was really helpful and nice. The 2 that were at the night desk when I asked about 1 more free water were not as helpful and basically told us that we could get 1 out of the mini-bar and pay for it. We were both NOT happy even if it is your hotel policy it was rather short and curt and not very friendly.

Hotel staff was not friendly or welcoming. As the face and ambassadors of the hotel they need a lesson on hospitality and friendliness. They were dry.

Nice, quiet hotel. Very helpful staff, 10 minutes walk to Metro. The room is clean and spacious.

The hotel was very centrally located. The staff was beyond helpful and pleasant. They made every effort to accommodate us and give us directions or restaurant recommendations. They even sent slice of cake with a greeting card to my room on my birthday! Overall I would stay at this hotel again. The only complaint I had was regarding my late night check in. I contacted orbitz that I was checking into the hotel late at 1:30 am on May 7th. I was wondering if I would be charged for May 6th. The orbitz representative told me that everything was set up with the hotel and that they agreed I would not be charged for May 6 since I was checking in at 1:30 am on May 7th. However, when I arrived at the hotel, the hotel staff said she had no record of my late night check in. even though my orbitz itinerary clearly noted "hotel was contacted about late check in around 1:30 am". I was charged for the previous day which was fine since I was grateful there was a room available. but I wish someone, either from the hotel or orbitz should have contacted me prior to my trip. I would have arranged to stay at an airport hotel which would have been more economical and less stressful to travel into the city at such a late hour. Other than that, I had a great experience at the hotel.
