We stayed for three nights . Had brilliant time . Staff very friendly and helpful , giving us a map of the city when we arrived . Also telling us where the tourist buses were. Are room was lovely very spacious and bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
We visited this hotel for 3 nights and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. The reception was very spacious with lots to look at, the staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean and bright with plenty of reading lights, tea/coffee with kettle. A wonderful bathroom with a good amount of toiletries and a hairdryer, Great for when you are limited with packing. There is a lovely seating area on the roof with small pool which I'm sure would be lovely to dangle those tired feet in with a cocktail and watch the sun go down. The hotel is situated litterally straight down the road from the metro and railway station which we used to get to the port and airport. The staff at the hotel are ready and willing to help with destinations and directions which was a wonderful help! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Only downside there was building work going on opposite which was noisy and also people shouting at times but this would not put me off returning as in comparison to other areas this was very quiet and the building work will not be there forever!
Staff very friendly, lovely and modern inside. Rooms of a good size although the "family" room we had felt a bit cramp at times with 5 of us in it. Need to improve their bar facilities - perhaps have someone in situ all the time as opposed to just between 8-11pm
Stayed the night in October as part of a package cruise deal. Well presented hotel with a modern twist. Loved the art work which was the main theme of the hotel. Wonderful staff and room was spacious and very clean. The location wasn't near all the main tourist spots but was only a small bus ride away. Enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to everyone.
Our trip to Barcelona was a last minute booking, so we didn't have much time to research and read all the reviews on the hotels. We initially chose Ámister Art as it is located near an apartment we reserved during our last stay so we would know our way around Barcelona. I am very glad that we chose Ámister Art as it is perhaps the most perfect hotel we have ever stayed at. From the start of our stay to the minute we checked-out, we felt the hospitality of the staff. The rooms were very spacious and clean, providing a nice view of the street. It is literally a step away from the bus stop which takes you to Passeig de Gracia - and from there you can literally travel to all other major tourist spots in Barcelona. I am usually very critical when it comes to staying at hotels and I tend to complain about the little issues - however this is the first time when my experience has been extremely flawless. I will be definitely returning to Ámister Art for my next stay in Barcelona.
Stayed here in early November. Lovely hotel with very friendly staff, who kindly allowed us to check in 2 hours early at no extra cost. The room was a nice size. A nice touch was the smart TV, which meant my husband could watch his Netflix in bed, which he enjoyed! The pillow menu was a very cool touch. Only downside was the view wasn't very nice from the room and also there is massive building work going on next door, so that could be very noisy in the mornings, however this didn't put us off and we would go back and equally would recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Had a nice stay at the hotel! Staff is really nice and helpful, too bad not everyone speaks English as our Spanish is limited to only a few words :D Missed the free rental bikes. The hotel is nicely decorated and very clean! There's a bar at the top and they serve okay breakfast. 4 blocks to the nearest subway entrance, about 20 minutes walk to the centre if you prefer walking. Our room was on the street side, so we heard some noise from passing motorbikes every now and then but it didn't bother us. Good hotel!
Super 4-star+ art hotel with high design and operational standards. With 7 floors and relatively few rooms, guests are very well cared for. The rooms, lobbies and dining area are attractively decorated with works by prominent artists - the whole hotel is one big art gallery and the lounge offers a wide selection of art-related reading material. The breakfast buffet is well stocked and offers plenty of choice. The friendly staff are very attentive and quick to refill any product which may have run low. The only thing we missed was fish. The hotel restaurant doesn't serve food at midday or in the evening and the bar is only staffed on demand. This may be different during the busier times of the year, although it doesn't matter at all, as there is an attractive range of bars, restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. But the heart of this hotel is its reception staff: English is spoken by everyone, and if Tamara is on duty, German speakers receive competent advice in their own language, as she is half German. Tamara and Sergi deserve a special mention: their patience and helpfulness seemed to know no bounds and went far beyond the call of duty - they made our stay particularly special: thank you! Our room (free upgrade to superior!) was spacious, light with four windows on two sides, a sofa, armchair and generously dimensioned bathroom. When closed, the well-insulated windows let hardly any noise in and the air-conditioner/convector heater was silent. To sum up: fully recommendable, particularly if - as in our case - a special deal made the return on investment unbeatable.
Four days with family at Sercotel Amister Art Hotel in Barcelona. It was a great stay - our triple room was spacious enough and tidy (and also warm, which is needed in November!), breakfast was lovely (loved the cava too, which was a real +) and the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Keep up the great work and thank you for a lovely stay! Can warmly recommend!
We stayed here a for few nights and had an overall pleasant experience. The hotel itself is clean and relatively quiet. Internet is free but then a little bit eratic in connectivity/download speed. Our bathroom was maybe a little bit tired, but absolutely up to the task. When we asked the concierge/reception about where to go out for dinner, the went onto Tripadvisor... and last but not least: the location is a bit off the beaten track. But we were pleasantly surprised that there is a taxi rank across the street and taxis are a very inexpensive way to get anywhere in Barcelona quickly. Would we stay there again? Probably yes.
