They had a baggage storage area so we could leave and explore Barcelona since we had arrived before check-in. There are several good restaurants and coffee shops in easy walking distance, and tourism areas like La Rambla, Mercat de la Boqueria, Mercat de San Antoni and the excellent Museum of Catalan Archaeology are easy walks from the hotel.
