Great hotel - room was comfortable and decent size for Europe. Nice bath and hot water, along with good bath kit provided by hotel with soap, shampoo, body lotion, etc. bed was nice and comfortable. My room didn't have a good view - looking out into another building with their balconies and clothes hanging out to dry. But no worries - I wasn't at this hotel for a view any way. Staff was nice, friendly, and spoke English. There are bakeries just around the hotel so I never really had hotel food. Very close to Poble Sec station on L3 metro line. Las Ramblas, Place Espanya (national art museum, montjuic etc) are within 1-2 metro stops or a nice 15 min walk. Will definitely recommend hotel.
Decent but not impressive. Standard European hotel.
Hotel was ok for its 3 star rating. As with all European hotels, rooms are small. The room we were given, had an issue with the A/C. It was on but it only blew the fan. The room would get warm. We couldn't open the windows cause it was locked for security purposes. Luckily when I asked the front desk, they knew there was an issue with the hotel A/C and they provided me with the handle to open the window. Other then that, the hotel room had all the essentials. The hotel provided kits in the bathroom such as soap, shampoo, soap sponge, shave kit, dental kit, lotions, etc. There was free wifi in the rooms. There was plenty of channels on the flat screen tv. The hotel is located in an excellent location. Metro is across the street. Hotel is located in one of the main roads so taxi's knew easily how to get you back.
Everything is great. The reception staff is super. They provide a lot of useful information, where to eat, what to see. They are always ready to answer questions, with a smile too. The room is kind of small, but clean except for the carpet. The hotel needs new carpet badly. They are old, worn and has stain.
This hotel was super convenient and the staff is willing to go above and beyond what they are asked for. The hotel is located across the street from the Poble Sec train station which pretty much can get you to all the sights and locations you will want to visit in barcelona. The room itself was pretty modern and clean. What i love most is the refreshing high pressure shower. Just one of the things that make a long day enjoying the city that much better when you get back to wind down. Recommended.
The first visit we stayed 4 days. The staff was friendly and very helpful. There suggestions as to where to go for sight-seeing, the cost and how to get there were fanastic. We did not get lost. We left for a 7-day stay in another city, but came back for another 3 day visit. We were welcomed back like family. From this hotel you can go anywhere. There are bus stops outside the front door, subway a block away, taxis available and you can walk to a lot of tourist attractions. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
Very good, clean, and courteous staff. Rooms are modern with many amenities.
We checked in after an 11 night cruise, so we were on a definite high and looking to chill out. Once checked in we visited several locations in Barcelona, using the Metro system. Picasso museum, Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, the Waterfront, The Cathedral. The only place we didn;'t see, we ran out of energy, was the Parc Guell with the ceramic lizards.
I was going to a convention
