Excellent road warrior hotel
Enjoyed the stay, the room and the staff. The neighborhood was nice and found a little community square just behind the park that had good food, drinks and energy. The only minor downside is the construction that is currently underway at the station attached to the hotel, which made access a little challenging. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the hotel. Recommend the hotel in spite of this temporary construction condition.
Hotel is a part of Sants train station. It was clean and the staffs were very kind. However, it is not good location if you want to stat around Cataluya/ Gothic/ beach area.
Accessible to all places we went to, with the train station underneath the hotel. And, hop on / hop off buses are park in front of the hotel
This hotel is literally right above the train station which is extremely convenient. We didnt hear any train noise though which was great. Taxis, the bus, the metro, and the hop on hop off tour bus are all right at your doorstep. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and little shops like a pharmacy. Our room was very spacious as was the bathroom. We had a nice big shower. They have a business center with 3 computers and fast Internet. We had quite a few problems trying to print off train tickets and other things but the staff was very helpful and eventually got everything to print off. The only down sides to this hotel are the computers are not in a private area, so i felt uncomfortable checking my bank account. Also the maids werent the greatest at keeping the room clean. They didnt put things back where they belong, and instead of putting our towels in the bathroom they folded them and put them on our beds while still damp. Overall though our stay was amazing and we would absolutely love to go back!
the ihotel is set up like a space craft. my daughter really enjoyed this. the stay was great. we only experienced one small problem. my daughter didn't want cleaning staff to come in room while she was in the shower so she put wait sign on door for about ten minutes. our room ended up not being cleaned at all. they give chocolates, but only on your first night.
Was initially concerned at how good could a hotel at the train station be- but should not have been. The hotel room was small yet exceedingly comfortable, immaculate, and quiet (except for hearing people in the hall late at night). Extras such as dental kit and shaving kit were nice to have. The safe in room was best I've seen in a hotel- was a good-sized drawer that slid out and able to hold items such as a large DSLR camera plus additional lens. A very good experience. Would return.
We flew into Barcelona and were leaving on a train the next day. This was a great location for our purpose. We found everything up to standard and the furnishings were fun.
things to consider; do not do laundry very very expensive in case you needed something right away.there are cheaper laundromats somewhat close by. For some reason WiFi kept disconnecting or very slow i get it im in europe but my associates did not have similar problems in town next by..or hotel near by.But overall depending what you are there for i did use the metro system with in my case Barcelona card excellent value. People in general very nice and helpful but expensive as well but again its europe
Convenient location, modern, comfortable. The hotel is located above the metro and train stations. Easy access to everywhere in the city, including the airport.
Great fun and easy access to the train and metro system. Wonderful place to stay when visiting Barcelona!
I can confirm that the beds are very comfortable, and the location is excellent. The hotel is right above a major train station (although there was no noise from the trains in the room), and therefore extremely convenient for getting around. I was there for a conference, and then a couple of days of sightseeing after. Getting a five day subway pass made the trip very easy - just go down the elevator, and you are pretty much at the subway station. Lines that go directly to La Rambla, Sagrada Familia and many other main attractions run right under the hotel. The only problem was that the room was way too hot on the first and third nights that I was there. I found out on the third night that some groups of rooms all share a single master switch as to whether the air conditioner will be heating only or cooling only. Apparently there was someone else in my group of rooms who really liked it hot at night, so even though the room was over 80 degrees (29°C), they kept shutting off my air conditioner without warning. The solution was to change rooms, which I did the morning after the third night. The new room was perfect. So the important tip is that if the air conditioner strangely switches to heat only in the middle of the night, then immediately ask for a new room the next morning. I won the battle on the second night, and the air conditioning was great, but it was pretty bad on the third night, and I gave up. Otherwise, this was a great hotel. The staff was friendly, and helpful (although I wish they would have explained the whole heating/cooling situation on the first night, so I could have just moved then). The beds were particularly comfortable, and the showers where particularly strong, and when the air conditioner was on, the room temperature came down quickly and was very pleasant.
We enjoyed the space aged theme of this well appointed hotel. We even ate in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was excellent, yet pricey.
Great location it was so easy to have the metro station right below the hotel. The hop on hop off bus was right across the street. Will definetely come back to Barcelo Sants!
An excellent location with an uber euro style. ar under the hotel is the transit points for rail, metro and bus lines. Perfect
Barcelo Sants had undergone some renovations since I was last there and they chose to go with a weird futuristic theme. Despite that, it was comfortable, close to Barcelona's sights and conveniently located with easy access to the metro and airport train.
the hotel is very clean and the staffs were very very nice and helpful
The Barcelo Sants is a cool hotel. Located directly above the Sants train station, although you'd never know it. The room was very quiet. The rooms look like an ad for IKEA. The bed was big and comfortable although they didn't change our sheets in 6 days of staying there. Also, the toilet is located in little closet steps from the bed and door is sliding door that doesn't seal the room at all. So if you are traveling with a companion...better be pretty "comfortable" with one another because you will hear every noise that happens in there! Luckily, I was with my wife, so no big deal. But for those that are "toilet shy", be warned. Beyond those things, no real complaints. Perfect place for access to Metro, busses or trains. We got in from train from Madrid and within a few mins we were in our room. That's nice. Every day we were exploring the town using the metro that stops right there. So that comes in handy. We'd definitely return here.
Great hotel, so close to the Sants station that I actually had a time finding it, looking around the station instead of ABOVE it. Rooms are very modern and cool-looking, and the TVs are absolutely fantastic, big and with bright picture.
Great location to and from the airport, no hassle to get transportation to town and all the sites. Great rooms and great staff. Great price for Barcelona well worth it, was recommended by a friend and I would recommend it to anyone.
