I have been at Residencia Augusta a month ago. I reached it at night and I nothice there that it is very wel located. Close to different attractions. La Pedrera, Casa Batlló, the Sagrada Familia and Plaza Catalunya are reachable on foot. So for people who enjoy walking there is no need for the 3 or 4 days ticket. In regards to the Residencia itself, the common use part was very clean and the breakfast room was beautiful. It has a huge window to the Montjuic. My room was a single one with private bathroom. I saw everything very clean and safe. You get keys and cards for opening doors as soon as you arrive. Each member of the personal have been very friendly. I would recommend Residencia Augusta.

The bathrooms were cleaned sparely so they smelled and were awful.no airconditioning in the room just a small and ceiling ventilator that did nothing because the room was really hot.if you want just the absolute essentials is ok

The hostel is not so small, but the rooms are, at least our double room. Toilets on the corridor are also a lithe inconvinience, especially whene the neighbours are not cleaning after using it. The breakfast was OK as for the hostel, some toasts, some cheese and ham, jam and fruits, drinks , also juices. There is an elevator which is great blessing whene you have heavy luggage. No air-conditioning, what is a problem in august in Spain. The location is very good, close to the train and bus station, 10 minutes walk from metro, 25 minutes walk from the center. Shops, markte and restaurants in the neighbourhood. After all the price is in my opinion a bit too high for the provided standard, 15 max 20 euro per person is what it should be, maybe after high-season it will be cheaper.

The only good thing about the place is location . the rooms are small , interior , noisy . they dont clean properly . staff only speaks only spanish . i stayed there for 3 months , and thats when the management shows their true colors . not recommended for students at all

Good location (near gracìa, fontana and diagonal), the manager was very nice and gave us some tips to visit the city. Breakfast was copious, rooms were clean and spacious! The residencia Augusta is great value, i recommend it!

this is a budget sparse but respectable little hotel literally only a one minute walk to las ramblas center and the underground - metro yet it is on a quiet side street and the rear rooms as i had are very quiet. the price is budget for this area. the only downside is that the rooms are very tiny and the shower is really really tiny.

Efficient staff, adequate breakfast items, available kitchen facilities, quiet and convenient location. The location is in a central part of Barcelona, walking distance from the metro, the shops of Passeig de Gracia and the touristy Avinguda Diagonal. You can walk to the Manzana de la Discordia modernist houses and Sagrada Familia. Finding the residencia might be difficult at first as it is housed in a generic building with little signage. My room overlooked the street below. The television, high up wall, was not plugged in but no matter. It was a quiet and pleasant stay.

Our flight arrived late to the city and by the time we had we were hot and sweaty. The receptionist greeted us and immediately offered us a glass of cold water. Check in was a breeze and we were then led to our room. The room was simple, just a small room with two single beds. However, there was also a closet and a small fridge included. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The bedroom was spotless when we arrived, and the bathroom was clearly cleaned everyday. The only issue the whole trip was that the door to the one washroom was broken and we almost got stuck inside as the door handle nearly broke off. The issue was fixed quickly. The breakfast was basic but there was a lot of it. As well the view of Barcelona from the dining room was amazing.

I stayed at the Residencia for 3 weeks in a single room and highly recommend it. The staff are awesome, very friendly, informative, and dedicated to their guests. The room was very simple, but was what I wanted as it was cost effective and conducive to doing work. I lived on a floor with a very nice terrace that was lovely to work on. There is reliable wifi, a good breakfast, and the location cannot be beat: you are walking distance to all the big tourist sites, but in the best neighborhood in Barcelona: Gracia. The Fontana metro stop is close by, as are all of the Gaudí sites. The price and community environment can't be beat. Highly recommended for students, professors, or tourists.

Just returned from a trip to Barcelona with a friend. We stayed at the lovely Residencia, in Gracia. While it is a little away from the busy centre of the city, it is only two minutes walk from Gracia metro. The rooms were large, clean and while they were not ensuite (hence the bargain price) they had everything else you need. I really appreciated the free wifi, a TV and a fridge in the room. The toilets and showers were fine, and I never needed to queue to use either. Breakfast was included, and there was fruit juice, a choice of cereals, bread/toast, croissants, little cakey things, jam and butter, as well as tea and coffee. If you wanted to bring your own cheese or meats you could just store them in your fridge and add them in to breakfast. Another nice touch was the lovely ice cold/boiling hot water machine which was available 24/7. And if you bought your own food you could heat it in the microwave and eat in the dining room. The best thing about the place though were the people working there - Daniella the manager and Pau on reception. They were very friendly, spoke excellent English and nothing was too much trouble for them. They helped my friend and I with suggestions of places to go, transport options and Daniella even lent me a bathing cap for the swimming pool! There were plenty of great bars, restaurants and shops in Gracia, and the city centre was only a few minutes away by metro. Also nearby was Park Guell, a must-see for any visitor to Barcelona. Make sure you buy a T-10 ticket (currently 9.25 euros) for ten trips pn public transport (plus connections up to 75mins onwards) as without it, each trip costs 2 euros. it's not luxury accommodation, nor is it a lively party place, so don't come here if that's what you're expecting! But if you want a bargain, clean, friendly, fairly quiet and convenient option close to the centre of Barcelona, this is the one to go for.
