First impressions were quite ok, well was the apartment considerably smaller than the impression left by the images on the webpage, and of course the balcony showing on the same webpage did not apply to our apartment. But it was clean. Then little by little you figure out the scam. Sound insulation is not in place neither between floors, nor towards the streets, so better bring earplugs if you need silence. Matrester are stonehard and protected with plastic sheets, better remove the plastic or prepare for a sweaty night. Bedrooms are incredibly small, washing machine did not work. There are no sharp knives and kitchen utensils are in general quite limited... I've been to better places in Barcelona.
A stone's throw from the Sagrada Familia. Small but big enough, obviously bigger than a hotel and ideal for a small family. Location wise yes it's a bit of the beaten track, but if you're getting around Barça by the Metro that doesn't really matter and nothing's far away on the Metro. It's not luxury and could do with tarting up around the edges, but given that it's great value it's far from a dump. There are plenty of restaurant nearby esp on Avinguda de Gaudì, however they really do cater to the tourist trade with everything that comes with. If you want to eat like the locals head for Rambla de Catalunya.
We booked a hen weekend using the company 'Hen Heaven' and they allocated us our apartments which we were promised would be "centrally located" about 2 weeks prior to our arrival. The whole set up is just so awkward and unnecessary - it really put a dampener on our weekend. Having to search endlessly up and down massively long streets trying to find these apartments, and then to have to meet someone at a specified time, which changes if you are lost or late as we were! However I digress. The apartments themselves are clean and functional. Our shower had a little family of ants and other winged creatures playing out at night time so whoever was first in the shower was always up for a battle with the insects but that would be my only moan or gripe. You are slap bang in the middle of a residential area - like people's washing and nakedness opposite you - some things cannot be unseen! So if you think you are close to bars etc you really aren't. You are only a block away from Sagrada Familia which is good as there is a metro close by but otherwise I probably wouldn't recommend this to a large group of people wanting a city break. You would do better looking on Air B&B..
Hi we have just got back from staying at these apartments at la sagrada famillia apartments are really clean plenty of clean towels nice for a couple sorry but not for a family one of the bedrooms was tiny also checked the photos on the website found it totally false advertising me and my partner would of happerly stayed but had my sister and nephew with us it was to small you really need to review the photos sorry
It's located near Sagrada Familia, probably a 5-10min walk and then you will be greeted by the amazing Basilica. Lots of places to eat and locals that are very friendly (and loves talking to my 17-month old daughter). Metro is just at the doorstep of the Sagrada Familia. Taxi to and from the airport will cost around £30-35. My only issue were the beddings. It was dusty and feels like it hasn't been changed for a while or hasn't been occupied and was left as it is. But overall a good place. All the facilities in the kitchen, and living room are working well. Would definitely recommend and come back!
Close to all tourist spots but far enough away to be peaceful, mix with locals at the amazing delis, bars and resturants! Large open market currently under construction opposite, great bakery below and upmarket fresh supermarket a few doors down.
I know... I know... I gave them a 4. However, it was by far, one of the best apartments I've stayed in while my tour in Europe. 1.This apartment is super convenient. It is near a lot of shops, grocery stores, restaurants and the Sagrada Familia (church). If anything, you must visit the church... it is only a couple of blocks away. It was a mouth dropping experience. It was huge! 2. Please keep in mind, before arriving, you must call MH apartments. This is an actual apartment building, so you will not have a front desk service. We had to wait a few minutes for a man to arrive and open the apartment, but there is a good pizza place across the street that was super yummy that you could eat and wait. 3.When checking-in, the gentleman was kind and super helpful. He made sure he gave us a map of the city and he highlighted a few places for us to visit. He also warned us of the pick-pocketers. We didn't have any problems, but we were cautious. 4. We stayed in apartment Zero! It's a townhouse, one of the biggest apartment they had. It was super roomy and comfortable. Even though I loved the apartment, I couldn't give them a 5 because of the downstairs. The apartment was clean (table tops, rooms and bathrooms), the downstairs floors was dirty and gritty. Yes, I used flip flops, but on occasion I stepped on the floor and it was gritty.... This may not be a big concern for you, but it certainly grossed me out. Yikes! 5. The gentleman that checked us in, made sure we had everything we needed, he called maintenance to make sure to bring a couple things that wasn't in the apartment. Very fast service. 6. FREE WIFI!!!! GREAT SERVICE! 7. Would I return.... Ummmmm YES!!!!!!
Travelled to Barcelona with 15 friends for a hen party and stayed for three nights at MH Apartments Family, across three apartments. The accommodation was clean, conveniently located and comfortable. Would definitely return.
Very good location, just 5 minutes to walk to Sagrada Familia. Around lots of shops, restaurants. Apartments clean and spacious. You will find everything what you need. We had really good time with our baby. We will come back again to this aparments and recomend for all. Good price, good location.
My husband, teenage daughter and I, have just returned from a three night stay here. We would all have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this accommodation. It was spotless and comfortable and although we didn't use the kitchen facilities (except for hot drinks), it was very well stocked with everything you would need to be self-catering. We could tell that a lot of thought had gone into making guests feel comfortable i.e with placemats, an ironing board, dishwasher, plenty of towels etc. I am quite a 'picky traveller' but truly could find no fault with this apartment. The bed was really comfortable and the lounge area nice and spacious. We will definitely return here should we visit Barcelona again. We were met at our late check-in by a lovely friendly man, (I think he was called Carlos), who explained all the necesary practicalities to us, and gave us a complementary map of the area which was a lovely touch. The location is great too - plenty of shops, places to eat, nearby metro station etc. We have all very much enjoyed our time in Barcelona. After lots of walking and busy days it was great coming back to such a nice place to relax.
