Clean but tiny room. Shower is very small that if you stretch your arms, you will hit the shower walls. The location is very convenient, walkable to many places. Loud bangs when other people shutting their rooms' doors. Overall, it's not a fancy but good budget hotel.

We came here after a 14 day Transatlantic cruise, a bit tired after backpacking from the port. To our delight, our room was ready very early. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room is clean and very adequate. Bathroom and shower are great. We really enjoyed the view down on the Gothic Quarter, and that the window opens for sone fresh air! Air-conditioning worked well, too. There is an elevator if you need one, but we enjoyed walking up and down the stairs. We felt very welcome and safe. Restaurants, cafes, shops and markets are plentiful. We enjoyed our stay in Hostal Levante!

Convenient and walkable spot for taking advantage of barrio gotico. Busy area but not a rowdy environment inside. They will ask for you the always leave the key at the front desk, which was unusual but we had no issue with it once we got used to it.

Great value, clean and functional room

Wanted a good value, well located place to stay in Barcelona with a private bathroom - this place was perfect. Could not argue with the price, clean and functional room. This isn't luxury - it's basic and functional and done extremely well. There is a safe in the room and the air con was extremely effective and very much weclomed during summer heat wave! Though finding a balance on not too cold was a struggle for me haha. but much needed air con is always welcomed! there is a kettle for refreshments before you head out for the day. There is no tv in the room but not needed if you are out and about. The location is just a few minutes walk from La Rambla and easy to reach several metro stations. It can be a bit of a maze around there, but once you've found it, you're sorted. the 24 hour front desk is brilliant for if you arrive early or late, and you can store your luggage there too. All staff I met were friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault them. The accomdation was full when I was there, so I expecting it to effect noise levels with people coming and going, but i did not experience that. I think with its promixity to a busy area it can be noisy, but i also didnt experience it - but they do provide ear plugs too so be aware of that if you are a light sleeper - i take ear plugs anyway but as i say, i did not experience excessive noise. overall this was just perfect for what I needed and I'm so glad I picked it!

All the employees are very nice and welcoming! Definitely one of the best hostal stays I’ve experienced, it was very close to everything we wanted to see and do! Love the atmosphere and looking out the balcony to street/night life!

Left after first night terrible place and service

Air conditioning had not been serviced. A "clean filter" warning showed on start up. Management stated they could not service the AC on sat-sun. We were left with no AC and open windows in 28degC. The street noise was huge in the Gothic area of Barcelona until 4am hence the other need for AC and closed windows. So....poor sleep, no AC, no TV and Management who appeared helpless. We do not recommend this hotel.

Basic but great location

Located in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic), this hotel sits in a charming old building. Our room was basic but had everything we needed — including a safe and an electric kettle. The location is unbeatable, just steps away from all the main attractions.

Great hostel, very close to Ramblas and Boqueria

What a great find this hostel was. So friendly and helpful before and on arrival. Great room with a KETTLE (Brits will get the importance of this!). I had a single room with en-suite shower room and it was perfect as a base for a short break. I was really surprised to find my room had been serviced in my second day - clean sheets and towels - I’ve never known that in a hostel!

A quick one night stay. Not the easiest to find. Don’t be put off by the ‘prison’ feel of the walk ways! Staff friendly. Room clean. Bed comfy. Water pressure in shower good. Location is fantastic. If I was back and needing a budget stay then I’d definitely book here again.
