This hotel is located at a great location to explore Gaudi’s architectural gems. Close to many restaurants as well. Modern deco with Wi-Fi, courteous service from the front desk to the service stuff. Highly recommend.
I have stayed at this hotel with my husband 4 times and we have just booked again. the hotel is clean, convenient for us, the staff are lovely and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Nice terraces, lovely new terrance on the roof. My only problem is the breakfast. The first year it was good but it has not been so good ever since. This year we are not having breakfast as last year I went over the road to buy decent coffee. For some its probably perfect. It is however my only negative and it will not stop us staying there as we always enjoy our stay.
The spanish personnel of the front desk always friendly and professional, but the other ones of the front desk they was rude. The restaurant was good and always wonderful service. The bathroom dirty and full of mold.
Hotel Zenit is situated close to the centre of Barcelona and within walking distance of some nice bars and restaurants. The staff on the front desk were very helpful but I found the rest of the hotel very underwhelming. The lifts are incredibly slow, small and seemed to take forever to arrive. The rooms are small, very dated and in need of refurbishment. They were clean (thankfully) - the pillows were awful and overall it wasn’t the most comfortable hotel stay. The roof top terrace was a nice place to relax with a drink (if you’d brought one in yourself) the bar was virtually non-existent and very poor. It was ok for 2 nights but wouldn’t be rushing back or recommend
Stay here 2 nights last week for our European management very nice Hotel middle in Spanish part of Barcelona. It takes 25 minutes walk to Rambas. How ever around the hotel are many shops and places where to stay for drink and dinner. Hotel as such is Nice and clean. Very good service. Friendly personal. Recommend it.
As usual, an honest review from me. I booked a 4* via Hotwire in the shopping district. It was my first time in Barcelona, so thought this would be a good location to see the city, etc. First of all, location-wise, it's really good IMHO. Reasonable close to Diagonal/Hospital Metro stations and surrounded by good places to eat. Also close to El Corte Ingles and other shops, so true to the location. Reception staff always smiling, friendly and a nice stack of boiled sweets at the reception in all sorts of fruit flavours. Onto the room. Quite small, and the window looked out onto a semi-enclosed courtyard (so keep those curtains closed as directly opposite the bed) with a small amount of airflow (so a little stuffy). The bed was far too small for us. Would have been better described as a large single bed. And really uncomfortable. Sleep consequently dreadful. On the plus side bathroom quite spacious, room service kept everything clean and tidy. Rooftop seating area good, right next to the reasonable gym with running machine etc. Also a mini bar but no kettle/tea/coffee making facility. I think this place should sort out the bedding as a priority and make this a hotel you would choose to stay at, rather than rely on Hotwire for an unknown hotel, because truly, it has the potential to be a really nice place to stay!
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, prepaid, otherwise I would have left. I travel with my dog and there was an additional charge of 20EUR per night. Given the surcharge, I could have stayed in numerous other hotels. The room (8th floor) was tiny, NOT sound proofed, with dated furniture and - the worst part - with the gym on the floor above. The continuous noise from he VERY early hours of the morning, did not let me rest. Roomservice never replied to any of the 3 phone calls I made on Sunday morning. The shower in the room ...has it's door dismantled, there are missing parts in the wall frame and mould on the tiles. For a "4" star classification, ...I would take away at least two.
Medium size room, On the 5th floor with a street view balcony (but no chairs) Location In the suburbs. A mile walk to the action. If you are going to stay a while get a bike pass. Bed is hard. It is a full, not a queen Air conditioning would not cool the room down. Bathroom was small Parking available onsite Breakfast was good and fairly priced
This hotel is nice. and the room size was as well. The elevator and lobby are small but its décor is nice. It is also in a good location. Near bus stops and subways. We actually caught the bus and it took us straight to the beach.
Got this hotel for a two night stay in Barcelona on Hotwire which ranked it 4 stars. I would disagree that this is a 4 star hotel. The lobby is small, but decorated nicely. The rooms were spacious enough, however the beds were awful. Firm and a hollow feeling to them. They offer a breakfast buffet for just 8€ which is a good quick convenient deal. The hotel is not the most centrally located hotel. The closest Metro is Muntaner station which is about a 10 minute walk up the street which is a steep hill. This will take you directly to Plaça Catalunya. Overall I would not choose to stay here again, but for what I paid I was overall pleased
