I w pulled have thought that having such a worthy name for a hotel that it would love up to it's name sake. Nope, nothing like the cathedral at all. Boring & average. I have bigger show boxes than the room I had. Bed was hard, pillows were awful & very budget. Wanted to make a cup of tea & all they had was Powdered milk that looked curdled when it hit hot water. Wouldn't stay there again. Only good thing was that it was close walking distance to segrada familia & a convenience store right in front.
We're just back from a fantastic trip in lovely Barcelona and a stay in this hotel. First impressions weren't good as the glass at the bottom of the sliding front door was broken, but on getting to the room impressions changed for the better The room although basic and could do with a bit of a refurb was clean and a decent size for a city hotel and had a kettle tea and coffee only downside was the milk powder which wouldn't dissolve! The bathroom was a decent size and clean too. We didn't have the breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on it. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and efficient. This hotel is a great base for exploring the city The Sagrada Familia Basillica is a five minute walk away and the City bus tour stop is just across the road too Just remember the hotel is 3* and you get what you pay for. I've read some reviews that expect all the extras a 5* provides for 3* price it doesn't happen! If all you want is a clean basic hotel a cuppa as soon as you wake up and a good base to explore from this is the place for you!!!
I was traveling to drop off cousin at Study abroad program. This was the closest hotel and ended up being very nice. Great location, Segrada Familia was around the corner. Clean, helpful staff, modern and safe location.
Exceptionally helpful Reception staff with Tania going out of her way to assist on a number of requests . Bathroom was tired and in need of a refresh. Room rate was particularly high for the standard delivered. Breakfast included in out rate was considered average in choice and food quality. Hot meals not kept hot enough during our stay, however a choice of foods available to assist in a good start for the day. Hotel a few blocks from Sagrada Familia cathedral.
Very conveniently located near the Sagrada Familia in a nice neighborhood that gave us many options for eateries. Staff was helpful and nice and was kind enough to accommodate our request to have two rooms close to each other. We stayed for 2 nights and requested from the hotel for a taxi booking which they promptly did. A hassle free stay with comfort in the rooms.
I have booked a lot of hotels in the past. However, I never experienced something like this. When arriving at this hotel, booked through hotels.com, they said me there was no room free. It seems like they gave the last room to somebody else. They said they send an e-mail about this, but I cannot find an e-mail about it. They "helped" me by booking me in another hotel. However, the new hotel was 10 minutes away of Sagrada Familia. The taxi to this hotel I had to pay. Don't book at this hotel, as the service I got was awful!
A wonderful stay in a Hotel which is centrally located. Very nice reception, Cordial staff and the restaurant which served wonderful breakfast. WiFi was very good. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed the complete hospitality of the Hotel in all aspects. Very close to the vicinity of all the restaurants and café streets serving all kind of different cuisines. By all means whenever the next visit takes place, We would like to stay in the same hotel
Stayed 1 night before our cruise. Room is typical of a European hotel which is basically small but is clean and well appointed. Breakfast is very good. A lot of selection. They had the typical bread, cheese, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, yogurt, cereals, juice, tea, coffee and I believe they even had salad as you can see from my hubby's plate. The staff were nice and accommodating. We were able to store our luggage after checking out as we booked our transfer to the port for around 2 pm. They have a business area where you can use a computer (they had 2 computers). I believe they also have a rooftop where you can see the area but we forgot to do that. The hotel is short walking distance to Sagrada Familia and a lot of food and souvenir establishments along the way. There's a small "corner" store right across the hotel where we bought our bottled water.
Nice hotel that was surprisingly good for a 3*, better than at least one 4* we have stayed in. Free Wi-Fi, air con in the room, safe deposit box, tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Pleasant staff, nice quiet room, pretty good breakfast, convenient for bars and restaurants and the Sargada Familia. Small convenience store just across the road. For a short city break we can't complain at all.
Worth a visit get a guide it's worth the extra we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit inside and out our guide from trivago was extremely knowledgable and answered many questions he seemed to know everything :)
