Great location for getting about the city. The staff could not have been more helpful from booking Taxis and restaurants nothing was a problem. We never heard a sound when we were sleeping. If we ever go back to Barcelona I will be staying there again. I was so impressed that I have actually left a review for something for the first time ever!
We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted everything to be special. Since we were arriving from a cruise ship, it was only about 9:45 a.m. and our room was not ready. We had not expected that it would be, but the reservation agent, Mar, was so very pleasant and helpful and stored our luggage for us. She gave us a map and clear directions as to how to find some of the landmarks we were interested in seeing. When we arrived back at the hotel later in the afternoon, our room was ready and Mar took care of the check-in process for us. We told her we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and she was very excited about that. She gave us a nicer room than what we had reserved, sent up a bottle of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries, and also notified the Spa of our celebration. Someone from the spa delivered warm robes and slippers to our room. We felt like royalty!! We encountered Mar several other times during the next few days and she was always so friendly, asked how we were doing, etc. She also helped us order skip-the-line tickets for Park Guell and Sagrada Familia. She is a wonderful representative of this hotel. During the months prior to our visit, we sent several e-mails to the hotel with questions regarding non-smoking rooms, transportation from the cruise terminal to the hotel, etc. and always received a very prompt and complete answer to our questions from several of the reservation agents. This was wonderful customer service! The hotel is very convenient to several metro stops and walking distance to Casa Batllo and La Rambla and we felt very safe walking in this area. The lobby and our room were very clean. We are proud to make a recommendation about this hotel on Trip Advisor.
Stayed here with my partner for 5 nights for his birthday and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The receptionists are all friendly and welcoming. Although our room wasn't ready upon arrival, the staff took our bags and made sure they were safe in our room for when we returned. The room was spacious and cleaned well, the bathroom was especially nice. The view from our balcony was lovely, faced onto a busy street but the noise was not a problem at all. You can get a bus from the airport to right outside the hotel, I can't remember how much it was but it was definitely cheaper than a taxi! The rooftop pool was lovely, with an excellent view of the city. Perfect location, the centre is 10/15 minute walk with all the shops. Las Ramblas is also around a 20 minute walk away. The hop on and off open top buses are absolutely fab, you can visit all of Barcelona's main attractions in one day which is great if you're only staying for a few days. I would highly recommend this hotel!
This was our first stay at this hotel. I waited until the last minute and got some great rates. I did a lot of research and found this hotel to far exceed my expectations. It was in a good location-about 10 min. walk to Las Ramblas and close to cafes, wine store, etc. (we ate breakfast at the café across the street and it was good with great prices). We arrived from an early flight at 9:30 am and check in wasn't until 2pm. The staff was so accommodating and got us 2 rooms ready within the hour and the other room half hour after that. We had 2 of the standard rooms and a suite with a separate bedroom and 2 baths for our 3 kids. The rooms were fine with great bathrooms and the suite awesome. The breakfast buffet was great for 18 euros-lots of varieties and good nespresso makers. They've got a small but darling rooftop deck with a pool and bar that has great view of the city. We got some tapas and cava for apps and food was delicious and decent prices (try the brie coquettes). The staff helped us arrange the bus tour, dinner reservations and a cab to airport. They were so helpful and always eager to please. The hotel is modern with a nice little lobby and bar. They even give you a complimentary glass of cava when you check in which is a nice touch. I would give this a 4 1/2 stars (only give 5 stars to hotels like Four Seasons etc.). My only negative and not sure if this is hotel's fault is the hotel called cabs for us to take us to airport-the normal rate was 30 euros and the cabs charged us 45 and 50 euros that day saying it was a holiday (there was a parade for the terrorist attack on Las Ramblas the previous week). That was a total rip off-paying 100 euros for 2 cabs to go 10 miles. I'd like for hotel manager to comment on this please. We will gladly come back-best boutique hotel for the price and great location in Barcelona.
Many things to say and all of them positive. Location: from airport you can take the Airbus and you just have to stop or at Ungüel or at Plaza Universitat and just a two or three minutes walking you arrive at the hotel. Quite easy. For visiting the city, if you do not want just to walk, we paid a four day Metro ticket ( it also included some buses) and near the H 10 Casanova you have Red LIne and Purple One ( 2). You can reach almost everywhere just making connections. The room is elegant and has a balcony and a working desk. Perhaps I would like even more reading lights but I must confess I love reading until late in the night and I am always eager for more light. Bathroom is comfortable and big enough . Very clean. Wi-Fi at the room is excellent. Checking-in was quick and easy and staff is one of the most kind staffs I have ever met. Always with a smile, always helping you with addresses and suggestions about the best way to get the place you are looking for. All of them are kind and go out of their way in order to help. I love the sweets or the apples offered at Reception. Breakfast is amazing and the ham there is of high quality. Also the fruit: they offered kiwis and fruit of high quality. Many choices and all days there is something different: or the sausages or the cakes of different kinds. The place is not only clean but plenty of natural light and color. A wonderful way to begin the day. They offered free newspapers. Fitness center is not big enough, really only three machines and located in a place that did not seem suitable because you are sweating while other people is having a cocktail. I definitely did not like it and it is very small but it is the only shortcoming I could find to this hotel. This was my third time in Barcelona and I believe I have found my hotel there.
Our second stay at the H10 Casanova. We found nothing has change the staff was excellent as our last stay, the breakfast was amazing. The room were clean and comfortable with excellent Wi-Fi. The entire hotel is clean. The Rooftop pool area has an excellent view of the city. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. My only choice in Barcelona it's the H10 hotels.
I stayed at the H10 Casanova in Barcelona from August 30th to September 1st. I was able to save a lot of euros by purchasing a two day express Barcelona card for 17.90 euros. This gives you access to the metro buses & the train system. When I found out it costs between 25 to 30 euros to cab it from the airport, I decided to go this route which turned out to be pretty easy. Now, I realize this is not for everyone, I was traveling alone & only had one suitcase to lug around. But all you have to do is take the red bus #46 from the airport, get off at Playa Espanya & take the H12 (another red bus) & get off at Gran Via Muntaner & walk 2 minutes to this property. This Barcelona card doesn't cover all the transportation, so be forewarned, but any red bus is good to go. When I picked up the card from the Barcelona Tourism official at El Prat airport he told me the train system was rather complicated & stick with the buses so that's what I did. The ride took about 50 minutes to an hour. Check in was a breeze, as I prepaid for my room online which included breakfast for my stay, I was assigned room 515. The front desk clerk gave me a voucher for a complimentary cocktail for their rooftop bar. The room was spacious & modern. I loved the sleek lines & as I travel more I much prefer the modern hotels to those other older hotels with so called more character. My room had hardwood floors, a spacious bathroom, a firm bed & a highlight was a terrace overlooking Gran Via de les Corts. Within 30 minutes a cleaning lady had given me a welcome basket of chocolates & bottled water. Great gesture from H10 & I thoroughly enjoyed it. This hotel ensured that I had everything in my room just in case, like a dental kit, a sewing kit, shoe shine polish, even a shoe horn. that, is why the H10 separates itself from other hotels, as they pretty much anticipated any client need & put it in the room. When the cleaning staff had cleaned my room, within an hour a manager knocked on my door to ask if the room was cleaned to my satisfaction & if I needed anything else for my stay. Great attention to detail. I loved it. The breakfast buffet was delicious as well & I was glad I purchased it, as I loaded up on breakfast I didn't have to eat again until dinner time, again trying to save some euros when possible. My only gripe & it's a minor one is the one ply toilet paper (I hope in the future they put softer TP in their bathrooms & the really tiny square sized soap) I barely finished my first shower when the soap already broke up into the drain. Like I mentioned before my room faced the Gran Via de les Corts which is one of the major arteries in Barcelona & if you were to get a room facing that street than be prepared to hear the rumbling of the buses & local traffic. The Casanova is a good 15 minute walk to La Rambla, I found if I was going to see Barcelona I would do it mostly by walking. I also walked to the El Triangle & from there most of the good street shopping is minutes away. Unfortunately a day & a half stay in Barcelona prevented me from see all the amazing architecture like the cathedrals & museums, but it gives me the impetus to return for a longer stay & quite possibly back to the Casanova.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Friendly staff, nice reception and rooftop bar, decent room with great sized bathroom. No issues at all. Location is not bad, a good 10 minute walk from placa catalunya on the main Cortes de la catanes road which is surprisingly quiet for bars / restaurants. Some may find it a little too far from the main attractions at night but we were fine
Beautiful hotel, excellent location, brilliant staff, what more can you ask for. Rooms were clean and always kept to a high standard. Vast variety at breakfast that suited all tastes. Sky bar was an excellent place to relax after a days sightseeing. Will definitely be back and would recommend this to friends and family. Thanks for a very enjoyable holiday.
I stayed only for one night and all I can say is that this was one of the best hotels I've stayed on! Clean, offers you things like showergel to a shaving kit and more! Big and very comfortable bed with a lot of big pillows! Big room and big bathroom. Generosity of mirrors which I like! And very well isolated from the traffic outside! Room service was fantastic! Absolutely worth it! And nice breakfast to, not the best I've been to but totally worth it! You can hear the metro going under the hotel but it wasn't to loud and it didn't bother me! And also the staff was amazing! Super friendly and helpful! Really recommend this hotel! I will definitely come back! :)
