This hotel was in a great location. The train station, bus stops, and taxi stand were all literally 2 minutes away. The hotel was really nice, there's a pool on the roof which was kind of small but nice. The room was very spacious and clean. Bed was super comfy. However the telephone did not work which was annoying. If there was an emergency how would we be able to call the front desk? And ordering room service was out of the question. The staff here is terrible, they messed up on my reservation after I made them aware of the changes upon checking in. One of the staff members came up to my room to confront me about not having checked out even asked me if i had any idea what day it was, and when i showed him i added another day to my stay he said they were busy downstairs and must've missed it. When i was checking out a customer was having a disagreement with a staff member and the person checking me out was too busy watching them and kept messing up the charges.

Clean Hotel, Staff super nice. My daughter got sick and they helped call a Doctor. Doctor came promptly. Nice swimming pool and bar on top of Hotel. Good breakfast

Room was so small. Smelled strange when I first walked in the room, had to open windows.

Hotel well located, near a metro. Very clean atmosphere, very friendly staff. Continental breakfast well served. The staff is very friendly!

The location was centralized to tour the city or go to the beach. Plenty of restaraunts in the area to choose from that are reasonably priced. Laundromat not far away (don't need to buy soap it's in the cost) and park was fun to stroll around. Room was clean, but the bed sucked. Pool was not what the pictures show, hotel staff was great.

The hotel itself was convenient as in regards to its location to the train station as we took the AVE to the city. However the where the hotel is located in an area that looked a little unsafe. In fact a little later in the trip we were at a park right next to the hotel where my wife's bag was almost stolen (the guy had come up to try to grab it as we were sitting on the park bench, my wife just happened to try around when she felt him pulling at it that deterred him from taking it). The hotel lobby and halls looked nice however when we arrived to the room it didn't look as nice, definitely not as nice as the pictures on orbitz. It was basically a room with a TV and two twin beds joined together by the bed sheet to make a full size (which was a surprise to us) covered with this ugly green sheet. The bed is on wheels and since the its a vinyl floor it rolled around very easily from the wall. We had to be careful laying on it. In fact on our first night we moved around to the center and the two beds ROLLED APART LEAVING US ON THE FLOOR. This was by far the worst hotel bed we ever had. The bathroom was the nicest part of the room as it was must have been remodeled recently. The upstairs bar was very nice with a beautiful view of the city. However the roof pool was very small not nearly the size in the picture and didn't look as clear or comforting to take a swim in. Overall if you must stay here it is a decent place with good staff. A 2.5-3 star hotel should be it's rating.

Expo Hotel in Barcelona is a modernist structure that should please all kinds of architecture fans. Although my room was pretty basic, it was spacious and clean and A/C worked well. The location, just around the corner from Barcelona Sants RR Station is very convenient. So is taxi rank outside the hotel entrance for those willing to splurge on a ride to the airport (about 35 Euros, btw). Otherwise, there is a train from the airport to Sants Station and an easy hike across to the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There is also an tourist info booth inside the lobby, ready to dispense all kinds of useful info. Among other things, they directed me to a bike rental place where (for 6 Euros) I could ride all day all over Barcelona. What could be a better way to sightsee the town?

Very good location near public transport. Accommodating and friendly staff. Large but basic rooms, ideal for the thrifty traveler in a city where accommodations are on the high end cost-wise.

Great hotel! 3 minute walk away from the main metro station. AND they have EGGS!! If you've stayed in Spain for more than two weeks, you'd know how hard it is to find scrambled eggs for breakfast! This place has them! The buffet is great! It's about 9 or 11 euros each, but worth it, since it's in the same building. I was however disappointed that the patio closes fairly early - 8pm. But nonetheless, great hotel, excellent customer service and you don't have to hassle with transportation because it's so close.

The lobby was very nice but the room not so much. Would not say this is 4 stars.

This hotel looks great from the lobby, however our double room looked more like a prison cell than a 4 star hotel. The beds were tiny, (I'm 157 cm) they were uncomfortable and the walls and door frames were dirty and beat up. Less than impressed with this hotel. Much more like a hostel with a 4 star hotel price.

Staff very friendly, rooms clean and great location to train station.

Not bad. Clean, good location, right price for an overnight stay. Staff was helpful. Not the biggest room, but the A/C worked well, and was worth the 80$ price.

The staff was outstanding. They went out of their way to help me with a computer issue. 9th floor is definitely noisy I recommend you stay on a different level. The bar is right above 9th floor. Otherwise terrific place with a great breakfast buffet.

We were a family with 3 kids and enjoyed the hotel a lot.

We went to Barcelona for MotoGP at Circuit de Catalunya. We picked this hotel because of its location and reasonable price. Close to both Metro and commuter train stations makes it convenient to go to the track in Montmelo and tourist attractions in Barcelona. We didn't eat at the hotel, becuase variety of food can be found close by at more reasonable prices. Check out Passeig de Antoni (street name) just a half a mile from the hotel for variety of food including tapas and paellas. Will stay here again. Recommended.

This is an excellent business hotel, very close to Barcelona Sants train station and the metro. The room and public areas were very clean. It is large hotel, but the staff were extremely helpful. The hotel has a nice lounge floor, and there are several cafes and restaurants across the street. The price was quite reasonable as well.

This is an ok hotel but I am an American and I definitely dont find it 4 stars . The biggest problem is that there is nothing around this location save a supermkt and the train and metro lines . The hotel is equidistant btween the two . Those who say it is close to the metro ,ect. fail to state that it is at least 1/4 mile from the hotel to getting on the trains . Thus try this 4x per day or 6x coz you hve to do it everytime u go somewhere and I like the trains . Its just a lotta walking.....REMEMBER..nothing else in the area .

Everything was good here. The breakfast buffet was a good deal if you book the night before. The only down side was I didn't care for the hot section, which included eggs, "bacon", and some sort of sausage. I loved the cold section which made it worth it. Cold section included fresh fruits that were very sweet, cold cuts of ham and poultry and cheeses. There were toasters for your selection of bread. Pastries were ok. The distance to and from the train station was a short walk which was very convenient for the trip to and from the airport. I would recommend to get on the metro from the Terragon location, it seemed to be a shorter walk than if you went thru the train station. I loved our room #867, but the only complaint is that I booked executive online, paid the extra fee, was asked about the executive room when I got to the hotel which I said "yes, executive" and was going to be charged extra when I was checking out. When I was told the balance due, I asked for a detail of the charges and that is when I noticed the extra charges again which I was told for the upgrade to executive. When I told the hotel representative that I already paid for the executive room online, he reluctantly took off the charges.

I've been to Barcelona 5 times now and typically have stayed in boutique hotels that were quite pricey. Now that I know the Bcn layout, I went with Expo Hotel because it was right across the street from Sants Estacio and I was coming in by train. Not only are the rooms comfortable, the staff is very nice and friendly, but you cannot beat the location! From Sants Estacio you can take any day-trip train (like Girona) or you can take the train to the Airport. The metro stop Tarragona (green line) literally a 3 min walk from the hotel, takes you straight to the Ramblas (Liceu stop) and you can connect to any other line very easily. I highly recommend this hotel! A wonderful value, great amenities (the rooftop bar is very nice) and one of the best locations you will find.
