It is a good hotel especially for those who wish to visit Barcelona without spending too much on hotels. It is basic hotel, but had everything that it is needed for a city break. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff very helpful. It very close 10 min walk from Las Ramblas. We stayed there 4 days, and our stay was very good. Near the hotel there is an amazing bar with great tapas. The hotel breakfast was fresh and very good. We had the room on the streets, so it was noisy. But it was ok.
We spent a 6 night stay here and we can honestly say that nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful reception staff, our rooms were left spotless every day, with clean towels each time, and breakfast was wonderful, always plentiful and replenished when needed. We would highly recommend hotel. For a 3 star hotel you get all your needs accounted for.
This hotel is more a hostel with very basic rooms, narrow beds, thin walls, plugs that don't work, no tea or coffee in room and noisy. No laundry facilities available. The area is not particularly attractive and I did not feel safe walking back to the hotel in the dark. The rooms were clean and most staff friendly but despite this I would not recommend this hotel.
Super clean. Central. Within walking distance of las rambla, restaurants, port. Great breakfast. Efficient check in staff. A little expensive but good due to good breakfast and location. Rooms have all you need
Stayed with friend September 2017 Location: Hotel was in a great location, 2 minute walk from Sant Antoni station. From the airport we purchased a metro ticket for 4.50 euros so we could go on the L9 then transferred onto the red line and finally the purple line to get to Sant Antoni (journey took about an hour but the metro was pretty comfortable, L9 is new and spacious with air con and the other lines although not as photogenic at least had air con- metro station itself was very hot though) there was plenty of amenities nearby- the Sant Antoni market, supermarkets, restaurant and coffee shops. We loved the 365 coffee chain shop which sold freshly squeeze orange juice for 2.50 euros and a variety of pastries. Staff: super friendly and professional throughout, the receptionists are def the friendliest bunch I've come across for a long time (if not ever!) :) Restaurant: We had our breakfast included- decent choice of eggs, bacon sausage, fruit (apple, melon ---> though melon was often in short supply), tea coffee and warm pastries. Apparantly the restaurant opens for lunch as well (im not sure if it does dinner also)- though as we tend to be out and about we didn't use the facility for that. Room: Clean, basically furnished. We were on a higher floor in twin beds. The towels were changed daily. The toiletries given were limited- shampoo in sachets, small soap however we tend to bring our toiletries anyway so we didn't have any major problems. Our room safe didn't work despite being repaired but that again didn't cause major problems. We picked the hotel for its location and price as well as inclusive breakfast so it served all our needs especially as we only returned to the hotel to sleep. There are of course many more luxurious establishments across the city if people were looking for additional facilities. I am more than satisfied with the hotel and would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a friendly, decently priced functional stay. :)
We stayed at Ronda House for three days before our cruise in August. It is an excellent basic hotel within walking distance of Las Ramblas. The rooms are clean and the breakfast good . The best thing about this hotel is the reception staff who go out of their way to help. If it hadn't been for the persistence of Abigail we would probably not have got our transfer to the port
Stayed here for 3 nights recently and was totally happy. The price was reasonable and the room reflected the price; basic but adequate for our needs. We had three beds, a little soft and my was squeeky, but that didn't detract too much. The room was cleaned each day and we got new towels. The shower was really good (although over the bath) and was certainly hot enough for us. The air con worked well and wasn't too noisy at night which was a bonus and there was a safe provided too. I know some of the reviews haven't been that great but you have to consider the price and for me it made it good value for money, especially as breakfast is included. There was a reasonable choice of items at breakfast, both hot and cold; the orange juice was really good and there was a coffee machine available. You did have to put the bread through the toaster at least three times to get it anywhere near toasted but that was a minor issue. The location of the hotel was quite good and even though it's supposed to be in a 'red light' area this did cause us any problems (we were a group of 3 girls) and there was a good cafe/restaurant (Bracafe) next door that did some great meals and was open until 3am if you wanted to stay out that late! I would say that if you want a reasonably priced room and are not planning on spending the whole time in the room then this is a good choice - you get what you pay for and I would use this hotel again.
Stayed there with my husband and 2 kids. It is the worst hotel I ever stayed. The room which was a daily room was filthy and updated with fingerprints at the walls and furthermore there was no room to put our luggage. Small noisy and disgusting. While in breakfast plates had so grease on them you could write. Not recommended
After an impromptu three-night stay in August, I was left more than satisfied. The reviews for this hotel (at least on Trip Advisor) weren't exactly promising, and after seeing a photo of a dead rat posted by one previous guest, I feared the worst But this hotel is a primary example of why you should never judge a book by its cover!! Sure, the bed may have been creaky, and nothing more than two single beds pushed together to make a 'double bed.' And yes, the walls are on the thin side. But the bathrooms are immaculately clean, as are the rooms. They are well-equipped, coming with free wifi and a fancy TV. And there is of course aircon and adequate blinds to prevent strong light disturbing sensitive eyes. There's also a free breakfast. And add this to the fantastic location (it's 10 minutes from Placa de Catalunya), and you may just have one of the best value hotels in not just Raval but the whole of Barcelona. The staff are also lovely and ordered me a taxi when I had to leave at 3 am on a Sunday, so I wasn't left stranded with my suitcase in the middle of the night hopelessly hollering for one! In sum, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a clean hotel in an excellent location of Barcelona without having to pay an unreasonable price for accommodation. People may have complained about the beds and the walls, but for the price they were charged in a brilliant location, what were they really expecting? A stay at W Barcelona Hotel?
This hotel is well located, clean and adequate, so long as you're not planning to spend much time in your room. Beds hard. Bathroom fine. All very clean, staff friendly and helpful. I had a lot of trust BoE with room keys not working, but staff always helpful about it.
