this was the 2nd apartment we were moved to from a very noisy AinB apartment in the centre of the Gothic area. it looked clean and tidy. can't blame AinB for the fact that water was running into the bathroom from the apartment above, and they did move us on fairly quickly to disaster no. 3 (even further up the same very long road). this is NOT a quiet area. this is a 4 lane very busy road, traffic noise is fairly shocking. it's not in a tourist area so prepare yourself for a long walk, or using the Metro underground system.. simple enough to use but not on your doorstep. AinB staff were very good. feel free to peruse the next painful installment in our Barcelona "experience"....
A lovely apartment, well equipped and in a great neighbourhood away from the tourist traps. Lots of bars and restaurants and not may tourists so everything is for locals and not tourists. Only a few blocks from the metro and there is a Mercardo round the corner so you can stock up on supplies for self catering. the main bedroom is large but the second (with 2 singles) is a bit of a squeeze. Fabulous place if you are with friends and want some space,
Accommodation is always key for me...everyone needs a good nights sleep!! For a group of 7 we were put in a 2 bedroom apartment with 1 bathroom! It was absolutely ridiculous! There were 3 of us in a double bed and only after I complained and was told that it was all we could have, were we given 2 camp beds in the living room, which left no room for movement. Really disappointing, especially after my many emails about the accommodation. We had to share glasses!! And even had to buy plastic cups! We had enough plates/glasses etc for 4-5 people and didn't even have enough towels!!!!!!!! The bathroom door was broken, mirrors in bedrooms broken/ missing and the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Nothing was done by the apartment company when called and we weren't going to waste time demanding change when we just wanted to enjoy the few days we were in Barcelona. However...was 10 minute walk to Tarragona and 15 minute walk to Sants Estacio so good links. Big groups go elsewhere! Reminded me of my student days! You also have to walk 3 blocks to check in/out. Professional photos are not what they seem - looked vaguely like ours. decoration minimal ..no balcony furniture, dishwasher or coffee table..never mind the damage left by previous occupants! A real shame!
A perfect home away from home close to Placa Espanya. Nicely renovated apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. Cleaning personal never once looked by, in our 15 days there;-( Only one staff member stood out with a service minded approach (Ignacio Parraga) So he gets his own star, for making our stay so pleasant. Henning from Denmark
fully equipped flat so we did not need to buy anything. apartment was cleaned every week twice! We got a new refurbished flat. quiet area, by metro about 10 minutes from the rambla. One of the best apartments I've been to!
When you call the owners to let you in expect to wait twenty to thirty minutes; they say ten when you call but it was thirty for us. The rooms were all acceptable, nothing fancy but pretty clean. The location was fairly close to a bus stop, but it's a far walk to anything of interest. The wifi didn't work, and based on other comments it would appear this is a ongoing problem. The last night there we were going to take advantage of the kitchen to make ourselves dinner. After prepping the food we were surprised to find the oven didn't work. When we called the owner he told us he forgot to tell us the first night that it didn't work. So we wasted quite a bit of money and time on food that we couldn't eat. I wouldn't stay here again.
I've been there with my family, wife and five children and the apartment was perfect for us. Everything you need is there for your comfort. Is very good to have your meals at your apartment instead of spend money at restaurants when you have a big family like mine. We have been received by a guy from Nepal, if I remember well, who was very nice and made our stay comfortable. The location is pretty good, quiet and not far from where you may want to go, close to a subway station but close enough to downtown if you like to go. There is a parking garage crossing the street if you have a car. The only problem with the garage is that closes at 10 PM which is not very good if you like to go out late. I would go to this apartment again if I go to Barcelona.
Ainb Eixample Entenza is not as bright and shiny as a posh hotel, but it is a centrally located flat that allows you to have a kitchen and washer while you travel. The furniture was a little more worn than in the pictures, and the beds were as hard as rocks, but it was clean, spacious, quiet and had air conditioning and a small patio. Ishwor was very helpful upon check in and accommodated our 730am departure (on a Sunday, no less) and was by every other day to provide clean towels and tidy up the flat. Perfectly adequate for what we required for our trip. Do note, there is no soap, shampoo, dish liquid or laundry detergent provided with the flat.
It is hard to find, but worth looking for. Nice and tidy, with a good reception in an odd reception. Good accomodation for our family, 2 adults, 2 kids 12 and 10. A small balcony towards inner garden. Walking distance to la Rambla,
At short notice we decided to visit Barcelona and see the sites with our three children - we were happy that our apartment was clean and well located in a safe area. Price as reasonable for 1st night and when we extended to a 2nd night we got some discount. While the single beds were a bit small and the dining room table a bit damaged, these were minor issues. We didn't try to use the kitchen too much and ate out so the accommodation was excellent alternative to housing the family in a hotel.
