Stayed at the hotel for a 4 day break. All of the staff were very helpful especially the staff on reception who went out of their way to help you. It is clean the rooms were spacious. We only had dinner one night in the hotel and the food was lovely. It is in a good location would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Stayed for 4 nights at this hotel and was ideally located for all the sights of Barcelona, if you don't mind a bit if a stroll each day. Slightly out of the way, so not as noisy as some hotels nearer the centre, which we liked. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. We didn't bother eating in the hotel as so many great places nearby (such as La Flauta, see reviews) and some great cafés for breakfast too. Not far for the Airport Bus service, which is so handy too. There's a pool on the rooftop but we just didn't have time to use it, although it looked lovely.
Very pleased that we booked the Acevi Hotel. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. The chambermaid provided very good service in keeping te room clean and tidy at all times. Good facilities including a pool and shaded areas, nice restaurant which was reasonable and had good service. Location about 15 minute walk from the centre of Barcelona and plenty of small but decent bar/cafes in close proximity.
The location is perfect, breaksfast good but simple like limited cerial choice, only juice, quality is fine choice is limited. The room is clean, quitetly and good bed. The bathroom could get an upgrade. Staff was professional and friendly. All in all fine hotel.
We liked the location and the connection with all the attractions of the city. It is in a very quiet and safe neighborhood close to the center. The wifi connection is good, the rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly and everything is very clean
We visited Barcelona with my grandson for a four night break. On arrival our room wasn't ready but that was not a problem as the staff took our luggage and advised us it would be available in an hour. Using the time to explore the hotel location with regards to the major attractions in the city, we were delighted to discover that a 15 minute walk would take us to the marina/beach area ,Las Ramblas, the fountains and the main shopping areas. With two Metro stations close by for journeys to other attractions, we were happy with the hotel location. The area around the hotel has a number of cafes and bars providing tapas etc. for later in the evening. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful when directing us to the various attractions as mentioned above. I'd left my sunglasses at the hotel pool, ( And although it's surrounded by apartments on three sides is really quite a nice place to sit and relax.), and the night porter opened the pool well after 10pm to allow me to retrieve them. First class service. Our room itself was more than adequate for space, was well served with a good air conditioning unit, and all the amenities you'd expect to find in a room. Breakfast was of the continental variety with some fried fare for those that required it and really provided a good start to the day. Coffee from the bar in the late evening was only 1.60 euros, so good value. Having read some of the 'poor' reviews before staying at the hotel and on my return, I think they are quite inaccurate and shouldn't be used to judge the hotel. All in all a very nice, clean hotel in a good location with friendly staff, what more could you ask for.
Lovely hotel and although it was a walk into the centre it only took around 15 mins...the room was very large and comfortable and very clean! the food was also fab with lots to choose from, all in all a fab weekend in Barcelona!
We booked a "Superior Deluxe Room" with Spa access and all I can say is that it was pretty poor and we checked out after one night. The bedroom was ok however the the hotel is situated in the middle of flats all around you so there is no privacy at all. Our Bathroom was very badly damaged with a split shower hose and the ceiling cracking and horrible - Definitely not what you expect at 150 euros a night! There are much better places to stay.
While some receptionists are very nice and helpful, others are quite the opposite. A guy in his 50s working the night shift couldn't be bothered to be of any assistance; I suspect his solitaire was more engaging. The pool looks much better in the pictures. It's barely 10 meters long and half a meter deep and the pool area is much smaller than one would hope. Air conditioning is noisy and the windows locked so one has to choose between fresh air and a quiet sleep.
this place is well located and we walked everywhere in Barcelona from here. plus there are some very good restaurants nearby for evening tapas. but this place was super quirky. our first room had no room to maneuver and no place to put anything down. huge unnecessary desk, but no outlet by the bed. could barely squeeze by one bed to get to the other. we asked to change the room and the front desk was very nice and accommodated us. the layout of the next room was better, but still weirdly configured and appointed. the lamps are glued to the tables, making it hard to put your phone, book, glasses or whatever next to the bed. still no outlet. the glass sink is attractive, til you run the water and it's so shallow the water splashes everywhere. the hot water handle came off in my hand in the shower. the shower amenities were outside the bathroom at the sink. the sink amenities were in the bathroom near the toilet. but the worst was breakfast, which got rave reviews here on trip advisor. a 4 star hotel should serve hot coffee in a pot. is that too much to ask ? either put a pot on the table, as they do in France. or have someone continually circle the dining room offering up hot coffee, like in any diner in the US. instead they have a coffee machine that belongs in an office. it serves up a tiny amount of coffee so slowly that a line builds up. i got a cup, walked to the end of the line, drank it on line, got another cup. this is not 4 star service. some people, certainly some Americans, need free flowing large amounts of coffee in the morning. we actually gave up on breakfast at this hotel and found Costa Coffee, a chain something like Starbucks. i went to the desk to make some suggestions and a nice person took my email address and said the owner would reach out, but i never heard a thing. i would definitely try to find a different place next time. the roofdeck pool was a nice place to hang out tho.
