had a pleasant experience. had issues with the bathroom but the maintenance staff was excellent in taking care of it. it is a great location. near the marina and restaurants. bedding is comfortable.
Our room was a little tight but manageable. This was the last hotel we stayed at on our 2 weeks Portugal/Spain trip so it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. The room was very clean. We were on the second floor facing the street so it got a little noisy at times. Especially when we were trying to sleep in. What drives me crazy is why do they make those bathtubs with half glass coverage? I couldn't shower without water splashing everywhere and making a mess in the bathroom. Am I not meant to use the shower head as a regular shower? I had to face the shower head inward and it was so awkward to shower. At least they provided us with slippers and nice robes to use. Hotel staff was very friendly. My husband was carrying a crap ton of stuff and the bellhop came over right away to help him. (We were parked illegally outside and the soldier next door gave us only a few min to drop off our stuff). Location wise, it was easy walk to a lot of tourist spots. There will be times you might have to take a taxi. But for the most part, it's walkable.
Very large rooms for Europe. Excellent location and staff. Very comfy.
Walking distance from La Rambla and Gotic quarter, marina. Boutique hotel with nice room amenities, buffet breakfast (additional price)
This was a perfect place to rest after touring busy, noisy Barcelona. The rooftop restaurant was wonderful and food better and less expensive than a place we tried by by the marina.
My wife travelled with her mother for a weekend and they both loved Barcelona and this nice elegant hotel. Very neat, clean and welcoming staff
We had originally stayed at this hotel many years ago for a few times. The last time we left with less than perfect feelings, but we decided to try them again after a few years to see what has changed. WOW! Everything changed!! For the better! We loved the new wing of the hotel and the new categories of rooms. The reception staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful. The rooms are now luxurious! We will make this one of our regular hotels whenever we are back in Barcelona. We will stay there again!!
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night after getting off a cruise. It was a great location, near lots of attractions, and we absolutely loved the sun deck!
Very clean, well maintained, and attractively decorated old-world hotel located across the street from the waterfront. There is a great terrace bar and hot tub space on the top floor that is comfortable and provides nice views of the waterfront area. We were warmly greeted when we checked in and sent off to our room with a glass of champagne in our hands which we thought was a nice touch. Even so, at roughly $400US for one night, we were expecting more and there were little things that annoyed us. For example, wash cloths were not provided; there was no shelf or counter top on which to place toiletries; a make up mirror was provided but placed in such a way as to make it unusable. The hotel has a nice dining room from which we enjoyed Sunday Brunch (an additional 18 Euros per person). Lastly, $400US per night was not enough to buy a nice view from the single window in room 15. All that we could see from our window was the brick façade of an adjacent building just 20-30 yards across the ally from us. We kept the curtains closed. There was much to like about this place but for the price, I would probably look at other hotels before going back.
