this charming, recently completely renovated boutique hotel is beyond wonderful. Why it doesn't rate 5 stars is a mystery other than perhaps more facilities like a gym or pool, which we didn't miss, too much to see and do. The rooms are luxurious in every respect from the tasteful decor to the fabulous linens, impeccable friendly service and a location at the edge of the wonderful Gothic district and being right on the harbor. Other neighborhood gems like Born and Real are easily accessible. Top notch in every respect. Would stay again in a heartbeat!!
Excellent boutique hotel very close to the port. Very walkable and outstanding location. I walked to restaurants and the La Boqueria while in Barcelona. If you need to be picked up, the location is great as well as it's not directly in the hustle and bustle of the city center. The staff at the hotel were top notch. So helpful and pleasant to interact with. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, modern, and clean. I would stay here again if I return to Barcelona for sure!
Located on the edge of the Gothic Quarter in a former palace, the hotel is amazing. Large room with a great view overlooking the marina and harbor in Barcelona. The breakfast was simply superb and the staff was fantastic. A great bar is also on site. The room was clean and incredibly comfortable. It less than 2 minutes to walk into the Gothic Quarter, maybe 15 to the main beach. The nearest metro station is probably a 10 min walk, but you can easily take a taxi to a central part of the city and walk. Gaudi's influences are everywhere in the city which makes sightseeing even more awesome. Barcelona is just a fantastic city, one of our favorites. The hotel was the perfect place for us to stay while we were there. We will definitely be coming back and recommend it to anyone who is going to Barcelona.
The rooms and the location of the hotel are great. The roof top restaurant has great views and food. The only problem we had was a lot of the waiters could not understand english very will. The restaurant on the main level is in a very nice room that you should see even if you don't eat there.
Barcelona is a busy, bustling city - and this hotel is an oasis of space and relaxation within it. The location is excellent - overlooking the Marina and in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and modern despite the building being old and grand. The staff are professional and helpful, and the rooftop bar is a real treat with great tapas, drinks and fabulous views over Barcelona.
This hotel is in an excellent location overlooking the Marina. It is within 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas and also the beach. The staff in the hotel were excellent and provided a glass of wine while they checked if my room was ready for me.My room was checked and ready within 10 minutes.Rooms very spacious and very clean. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a Sun Terrace on the roof with a small splash pool. They also provide fresh towels for your use on the Sun Terrace.
I'm a luxury traveler and I tend to set high standards. Room: Stayed there with a friend and had double bed room. The room isn't that big,but was comfortable and clean. Loved how the balcony looked over other balconies and was in the heart of the Gothic quarters. Rooftop: Didn't spend much time up and I wished the small pool was a hot tub. The weather in April was decent and wanted a hot tub at night. Location: Great location. Close to the beach, shops and attractions. Food: Didn't try it. I recommend this hotel for people who are looking for clean and comfortable stay while in Barcelona. This is not a luxury hotel.
If there is ever a hotel I wish to revisit it is this one. The Hotel was stunning, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We were greated ( booking.com) with a glass of bubbly by two lovely members of staff. We requested a quite room and it was perfect. The interior quality throughout is to a high standard. The rooms were clean, bedding was of a noticeable high standard. The sink and shower area too was immaculate. This hotel has a superb romantic large roof top terrace, although we didn't eat there, we had drinks whilst over looking the docks. The pool is smaller than anticipated and there are specific times allocated for taking a dip. I loved my stay here and will always have fond memories of this hotel stay. Thank you Duquesa de Cardona.
Small reception area and can feel crammed at peak hours. Service was good when they were not too busy. They tried. My room was spacious and comfortable, but can’t really call it luxurious. Functional at most parts except for the bath which to me was more chic than functional. Bath not really ideal for kids and the elderly. Great location. Then again difficult to find bad ones in Barcelona. Five minutes taxi ride to the port if you are taking cruises. Lots of facilities you can try too. It’s a very good hotel, but not exactly memorable to me.
Great hotel with very friendly staff. Had no issues at all. The location is perfect for pretty much all of Barcelona's hot spots with Metro link close by to the further away sites. Walking: Barceloneta - 5 mins Ramblas - 5 mins El Born - 5 mins Beach - 10 mins El Raval - 10 mins Gothic - 1 min La Segrada - 45 mins Can't comment on breakfast as we ate out everyday. The terrace is a fantastic place to relax and again all the staff up there were great. Just for info though, I don't think many reviewers realise there is a second lounge area and pool? (We were there at least three days before noticing, so make sure to walk to the end of the dinning area towards the church dome. Would definitely consider this place again if we are lucky enough to be in Barcelona in the future.
