All i can say it was a great experience...I wanted 2 stay longer...swim up bar the beach lovely...My cousin & I got a massage i was snoring well that's what I was told
Very disappointing from what we anticipated. Between the food, maid service, & through in having to use bug spray prior to going to bed in order to avoid getting bitten in our sleep, we won't be returning. Did I mention the dead bugs in the freezer & shower? The only pleasant experience we had is with some of the staff near the restaurant. Aneka, Dario, & Leah always had a smile to greet us.
Pros:It's contemporary, clean and spacious. We had the one bedroom with ocean view and it was amazing. Massive rain shower, fully equipped kitchen, large refrigerator with filtered water and ice maker, dish washer and ensuite laundry. Living room/ dinning area and a large balcony overlooking the water. Fold out queen size bed in the couch. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They have fresh coconut and snow cone days, live jazz at the bar, and an adult only roof top pool, just to name a few. You get free chairs and umbrellas at the beach and attendant services when needed. There is a convenience store two minutes away, the main Dover beach 5-10 minutes walk down the street and st Lawrence gap for bars, clubs, restaurants and nightlife 15 minutes walk down the street. I was incredibly impressed by this establishment. cons:Their rediculous policy about no visitors after 10pm, which is not written in their "House Rules" but is "policy", further more I think we are all grown adults paying good money for the hotel and shouldn't have to live under a curfew. We aren't in a dorm or a hostel. I had family visiting and they refuse to let me bring them up to my room, on my last night there, family I hadn't seen in over 20 years it was pretty upsetting because I felt like I was being treated as a child, especially since the young lady at the reception got real short with me. We spoke with a supervisor about it. I hope they revamp this policy, it's 2016 for godsakes!
Great Hotel. Room was extremely nice and well decorated. Can't wait to return.
We loved our Hotel and would recommend it to our friends and family. Lovely customer service as well! Merci Ocean 2, Barbados!
This hotel is in a great location because it allows you to walk to where all the action is (15min) but yet is far enough not to have it in your face. The hotel beach isn't great, but you can always find a nicer beach on the island. The pool is a bit narrow and not too big, but it is just fine. The food at this place is also very expensive, stay away from their BBQ night, it is $100 for average food at best.
We stayed 7 nights at Ocean Two. The resort is located at the end of the St. Lawrence Gap and is only a 5-10 minute walk to many restaurants and bars in the area. The beach and pools were beautiful although at times, it was hard to find beach chairs due to people reserving them for hours. Our one bedroom ocean front suite was very modern and comfortable and came with a full kitchen. The resort was always clean and the employees were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay again!
Ocean Two is a well organized, customer friendly Hotel. The hotel is well staff is very attentive to guests. The 1 bedroom ocean view suite was well equipped with a full kitchen including a washer and dryer that was tastefully located behind a descriptive door.
Fantastic location close to airport and restaurants. Needs morning free coffee station in lobby. Extremely comfortable bedding. Room service for off -hour food is needed. Friendly locals and employees everyone.
The room was huge. We booked a 1 bedroom King Suite. It was over 850 sq ft and felt like home to us! It truly lives up to being a 5 star resort. The staff was always willing to help and always greeted when we passed by one. The ocean in front is great for all activities from relaxing to snorkeling to body surfing. The location was on the end of "The Gap", but was an easy 10 min walk to the restaurants and shops. The Dover Mini Market was right across the way, we stopped there every night picking up snacks and beverages. The area and all of Barbados is very safe. My wife and I walked all down the Gap and never once did we feel unsafe. We loved Barbados and definitely staying at the Ocean 2 made it all that much better. I wouldn't hesitate one bit recommending this hotel/resort to friends and family. It was true experience and great place to spend our honeymoon.
When you come upon Ocean Two, you drive down a unimpressive street wondering where you're going. However, when you walk into the lobby & see the beautiful view of the ocean it only gets better. The staff is the highlight of the Ocean Two. Always friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. The rooms were spotless. The grounds immaculate. A perfect choice for a vacation.
new hotel, nice view, nice location, nice balcony, nice beach and pool, excellent bath, BUT no refrigerator in standard rooms...
