Great location! Very nice inn but the bed is not of any quality. Reminded me of the beds from the 1970s (little comfort and wobbly). We felt every movement. This made for lack of sleep.
Very convenient to good dining options, the ocean and nightlife. Close enough to downtown that it's an easy walk but far enough away that one can get a peaceful sleep.

Disliked: Amenities
Good location. The room was okay. Definitely not worth the price.
The bed ended up breaking due to being old and not properly secured. Phil was not happy and tried to place the blame on us, even though other staff members—right in front of Phil—said this had happened several times before. Despite that, Phil continued to deny it.
The rest of the staff, however, provided great customer service
The Central House is a comfortable place to stay in a very convenient location. It is “central” to all of Bar Harbor and is within an easy walking distance of most places within the town. Park your car in the lot and enjoy the area.
The front porch is a great place to sit while you sip wine or coffee and watch the world go by.
The Central House was so cute and in the perfect location. It was so lovely to come back to each night after being out in Bar Harbor during the day. Very cozy and had everything I needed.
Charming property in ideal location for walking the city and access to Acadia. Thoughtful amenities, lovely common areas and very comfortable accommodations. Excellent value. Highly recommend!
Loved the location of this property. Beds were comfy and rooms were quiet. It was very convenient having coffee, tea, ice and water available at all times. Would definitely stay here again!
We spent a week vacationing along the coast of Maine. We stayed in B+Bs along the way. This property was in a good location in the heart of town. The property was old and had minimal staff and services - all to be expected with a mid-priced B+B. It was a good value for the money and we enjoyed our stay.
PS - Maine’s coast is amazing and we had a great vacation in Kennebunkport, Camden and Bar Harbor!
