Great location! Very nice inn but the bed is not of any quality. Reminded me of the beds from the 1970s (little comfort and wobbly). We felt every movement. This made for lack of sleep.

Good location. The room was okay. Definitely not worth the price. The bed ended up breaking due to being old and not properly secured. Phil was not happy and tried to place the blame on us, even though other staff members—right in front of Phil—said this had happened several times before. Despite that, Phil continued to deny it. The rest of the staff, however, provided great customer service

Enjoyable Stay

The Central House is a comfortable place to stay in a very convenient location. It is “central” to all of Bar Harbor and is within an easy walking distance of most places within the town. Park your car in the lot and enjoy the area. The front porch is a great place to sit while you sip wine or coffee and watch the world go by.

Coastal Maine

We spent a week vacationing along the coast of Maine. We stayed in B+Bs along the way. This property was in a good location in the heart of town. The property was old and had minimal staff and services - all to be expected with a mid-priced B+B. It was a good value for the money and we enjoyed our stay. PS - Maine’s coast is amazing and we had a great vacation in Kennebunkport, Camden and Bar Harbor!
