It was a very historic victorian home, very Original and beautifully decorated
This property is unique. The grounds are lovely. The room was comfortable, homey, & inviting. There is a fabulous co-op that is close enough to walk to. It takes less than 5 minutes to drive to downtown Blue Hill. Also, there is a pub inside Barncastle, which, unfortunately, was not open on weekends, the time i was there. The staff was very friendly & helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Barncastle.
Nice location...easy check-in process. Everyone very nice.
It's a beautiful property. The rooms were wonderful. Good restaurant as well. Very unique property.
This hotel had the Maine charm I was looking for. It is worn with age and history, it is on a Main Street , which was a bit noisy, plenty of parking, the only negative we found was, the bed, mattress was a bit lumpy and hard to get comfy, the restaurant : food came out hot and cook to order , very good . Wait time was well worth it!
