Our rooms were very clean and tidy. A great experience, thank you!
It was ok you get what you pay for
Clearly gouging the public on price ($379 night!!!) due to supply and demand. Very dated, shabby substandard /towels/amenities. No safe, no hair dryer, mold on shower curtain, holes in towels!
The only good thing I can say is that it is only 2 miles from the entrance to Acadia NP. We would have left upon arrival but there are no refunds for early departure. We were charged 5 days before arrival - sight unseen - so too bad for us. We paid over $900 for 3 nights. Sign on back of door to the room said maximum that could be charged is $159/night. Manager said the sign was 20 years old - which matters why? The place is very old and the odor of mold or mildew was the first thing we noticed when arriving. As for ammenities - I wish I would have taken a picture of the "ice machine" in the registration area. Small chest freezer that someone had emptied bags of ice into. Came complete with a screwdriver for hacking it into manageable pieces - but no scoop - so you had to dive in with hands. Only had ice the first day. Light outside our room was out so dark coming in/out in the evening. Bottom line - we were hoping for cute, clean and quaint. It was not that. Traveler beware!
It was close to both Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
Wonderful staff service, clean room, great location, beautiful site with outdoor picnic area.
