I booked 2 deluxe suites, but they upgraded me to a penthouse suite (which I presume was to their advantage) - but of course, I can't complain - I got to stay in a penthouse suite. That was smart on the service staff and management's part - benefitted both them, and the client. The hotel is in a perfect location, with a pharmacy, a currency exchange, a massage parlor, eateries all on the same road - a pharmacy can be very handy after a night in Bangkok ;) Once again, great service from the staff and the location is just perfect.
stayed for 4 nights here slightly older hotel, but room was fantastic size mini bar was stocked every day and prices were good, having a 7/11 attached to the hotel lobby was a great attribute, would definitely stay here again.
I checked in the hotel on 26 June 2017 for 3 nights stay for Deluxe Room. Upon first day check in. The 4 staffs : Ms Ketsarin, Mr Nopparat, Mr Thanusorn, Ms Duangjai has showed their professionalism.. friendliness and courteous to welcome me and I was so tired and they let me check in as early as 11.28 a.m instead of usual 2pm as standard check in time because after they knew I was walking from MRT station to the hotel. They show true concern and care to the customer which makes us feel welcome at land of Smiles.. Thailand.. Keep up the good work..Well done.
This hotel is too old and need a big renovation. In 100m away is another Royal president in a new building but we stay in the old one. We are big group rent 4 rooms for 3 days. They are old with dusty carpet and sofa. We also saw cockroachs all over: kitchen, toilet, headboard. But we booked through agoda and from average reviews so i place my review here. Beside that, when we opened the tap at the bathtub, the water was red for 30seconds. I got my room at 3rd floor, my view is below 5-6 floors car parking. So if we didn't close our curtain, the cars and bikes light will travel in to my room all the time. Their pool is small. My kid got mosquito bite. Morning buffet is ok, some days is below ok. They had 2 good thing are big room and transportation to Terminal 21 ( we had kids and old people traveling with) . I wanna give 2 stars but traveling with kids and elder in the unhealthy room... 1 star maximum.
All the staff are very helpful. The rooms are large. Great location small walk to terminal 21 shopping centre. Quick Walk to Asok sky train station. Short walk to the under ground train station . On a small Soi/ street off the main road
Initially was a bit upset when we showed up at 3 PM and the room still wasn't ready, but the staff was so friendly and helpful and the room so nice we got over it. It's about a 15 minute walk to the BTS skytrain, but they do offer a shuttle. Breakfast was also very good. A great value for the money.
Have been staying at this hotel when in Bangkok for the last 10 years. I like staying here because of the location (short walk to terminal 21 and sky train ). Also good staff. But the condition of the hotel is very poor now. The rooms are run down and in poor condition. Stayed in family suite and the DVD player and washing machine was broken. Room smelling of cigarettes. Power points broken and the room was dirty. Rooms need complete refit. Definitely not 4 star. Look elsewhere.
My young daughter and I decided to change our holiday plans and found this hotel available and very cheap for a 4 night stay so we booked this up and made our way to the hotel. We were warmly received by the staff on the front desk who's english was very good making our business swift and easy to manage. It is located on Soi 15 and only 300 metres from Sukuhumvit 43 which meant access to Terminal 21 shopping mall as well as the Skytrain was practically on our doorstep. The hotel has its own mini shop and also 30 metres from the entrance is a big 7 eleven store where I was able to stock up on necessary provisions to keep my daughter occupied/happy. The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor which not only provides room service but a quick phone call from the swimming pool meant I had a beer in my hand within minutes. A large glass of cold Heineken lager cost 95 baht. A really nice touch I thought. The swimming pool isn't heated but it was very welcoming to dip in at any time between 8am-10pm. The pool was never busy and neither was the sun lounger area at the top of the stairs by the pool. The pool is 1.3 metres depth across the whole pool which was great for my daughter. Adjacent to the pool is a fitness suite which was more than adequate for anyone wishing to stay on top of their fitness whilst on holiday. The (non smoking) room was well furnished with a safe and a wardrobe as well as a desk, 2 bed side tables, a television (with printed tv channel listings) on top of a unit which housed the refrigerator. The bed was a double and very comfortable and the ablutions had a nice deep bath, a walk in shower and a sink underneath a big well lit mirror. The lighting and air conditioning is all controlled by a control panel on one of the bed side tables. You are issued with 2 key cards for your stay. I kept one in the room to ensure power stayed on so we could charge our devices whilst keeping the other one to use the lift and get in and out of our room. The rooms are cleaned and the bed is made daily by a very friendly team who will also restock the refrigerator when required. The concierge team were always very helpful and small touches like holding our door open and greeting my young daughter I thought were real nice touches. There are tuk-tuk drivers and taxis on Soi 15 so you don't really need to ask the hotel to arrange transport for you. It cost me 400 baht for a taxi to the airport which I arranged myself. The driver came to find us in the hotel lobby as well, avoiding the heat outside. This drive took about an hour. We also got a taxi for 300 baht to Wat Arun which was around 45 minutes away. I went to watch Port FC v Bangkok Glass FC at the PAT stadium and that cost 200 baht for a 20 minute journey. The only downside I found with this hotel was the cost of the laundry service but it served me right for not using an independent service outside the hotel. For 6 pairs of boxer shorts and a couple of T shirts I paid over 1000baht. All in all, I won't be staying anywhere else on my next visit. This hotel is so nice and quiet and close to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, superb value and all the staff were very nice. Keep up the good work an see you again soon.
I had one night in Bangkok after flying in from London and chose Royal President as I am familiar with the area it is in and it was a good rate with no cancellation fee. The staff were very accommodating as I arrived around 10am off an early morning arrival long-haul flight. My room wasn't ready but they upgraded me to a suite which was available immediately which was very kind. The room and the hotel overall however are very tired and in need of upgrading. There was a strong smell of smoke in my room and the carpets are very stained. The suite had a small kitchen facility and washing machine/dryer which was handy. The room lights kept coming on throughout the night at different times which was a bit weird and after getting up to turn them off and then waking up again with different lights on, I gave up (jet lag probably helped that it didn't matter to me what lights were on!). I didn't use any facilities other than breakfast in the restaurant which was okay - nothing special. The location is great, just off Sukhumvit and very close to Asoke BTS station and Terminal 21 shopping centre.
We arrived late at night only to find our prepaid reservations were for later in the week, when we had to be back at work. Not sure whose error it was. The hotel had no rooms nights two and three of when we thought we had reservations, had one crummy room left that night-at a much higher price than our online reservation. We took it and asked for a refund for our prepaid reservation. They said we had to call the online booking website. We did. The booking website said it was the hotel's decision and called the manager. The hotel said no go for night one. We did get a refund for nights two and three. But for night one they got double payment. Perhaps legally right based on the booking website small print. But morally wrong. Plus our wake up call the next morning was 25 minutes late. We will not try to stay with them again.
