Hotel is bad and the staff is ok……Until you have to pay for sheets and towels they allege that are too dirty to be clean and they charge you 7 times the amount for those same sheets in the market. They did this twice so screw them and never will recommend this place because of this🖕

An average, dated room, clean enough but nothing to write home about. Situated about 30 minutes walk from anywhere that might be of interest, 10 minutes by taxi. It was ok, but nothing more.

Excellent place to stay if a bit out of town

We loved everything about our stay at The Rio Monte except the hassle of getting a cab back in the evenings. The location is great in a local neighborhood with many food options. The room was spotlessly clean. The pool was lovely. The property is full of trees and plants so you wake to the sounds of birds. The staff was friendly and helpful. Ordering a cab from the front desk to go out was no trouble but we struggled to find taxis to bring us back to The Rio Monte, many taxis told us it was too far or they didn't know the location. If you can deal with/work around this issue then this is a great option for you!

Home from home!

The pleasure was the fact it was an apartment ,beautiful pool,beautiful coy pond and gardens. I DO ADVISE THOSE WHO STAY THERE BE PATIENT AND KIND TO THE CAB DRIVERS. ORDER CAB THROUGH RECEPTION IN THAI, ALWAYS TELL CAB DRIVER NO PROBLEM GO TOLL WAY! IT IS IN A AREA THAT IS NOT THE TOURIST HUB! 2 AMAZING TAKE AWAY OR SIT ON STREET THAI RESTERUANTS CHEAP GOOD CLEAN DELICIOUS! JUST ACROSS THE ZEBRA COSSING. THERE IS A TESCO LOTUS EXPRESS IN SAME ST SO,REALLY GOOD AS CAN BUY DRINKS SNACKS! FRUIT MARKET ALSO! I WILL STAY THERE AGAIN ! But pillows hard but that's my problem I have a bad back!

Quiet, clean, peaceful ... and great pool!

Needed a place to chill out for a day or so before heading into the more touristy areas. I had a great time here, though. No restaurant at the residence, but there are a number of mom & pop snack and meal shops nearby, one that I frequented several times because the owner is a chef and his English was very good. And he and his wife were fun and jovial. Just the way to enjoy Thailand without being the everyday "fareng" on the streets.
