This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel and make no mistake about it, we will definitely be staying again! Location is great, with really nice river views. If you don't feel like going anywhere just sit on your balcony and watch the goings on. Restaurant food is good as is the breakfast. 3 1/2 star property and this was still our favourite after staying in a 4 & 4 1/2 star property. Yes these is noise from the river early but we love it! Recommend paying the extra for the balcony rooms. :)
Lovely buffet breakfast and well located so getting about is easy. The hotel room was immaculate and staff friendly. The hotel facilities were good and kids will love the pool, especially when the weather gets ever more humid.
Shower was broken and in bad disrepair, we had to use it as a hand held shower. Airconditioning was intermittent and very loud! We could hear the next rooms aircon too as it sounded faulty and kept banging We asked for a quiet room yet had the music from the club accross the road on until midnight every night. One night the maintenance man started sanding with an electric sander in the pool area above our room at 10.30pm! It was extemely loud and only stopped when we complained (only after they tried to tell us it was another building! I walked upstairs and saw him and told them / strangely after that it stopped) Breskfast was awful, not at all worth the 250 baht per person they charge. If you still decide to book to stay here, dont bother with the breakfast, you will find better cheaper elsewhere. During our stay my husband and I shared all our meals and the only one we didnt share or have the same of were the eggs on day 2 at breakfast. My husband was violently ill after that, so much so we could not travel to our onward journey and had to stay another night much to our dismay. Staff were extremely rude when we complained about the above and refused to deal with anything. The front desk blanked us when we handed our key in to check out. We were ignored as if we were invisible and had to ask if there was anything else they needed for us to check out. They just shook their heads and walked off with even speaking to us. I am disgusted with this hotel and our experience. I would avoid it as value for money was nil.
Booking was easy by email and they reply usually within the day or the next day. They offer 10% to repeat customers which is nice but after 8 times I would have thought they would add in an extra like many others hotels we stay at do. ie free drink at the pool or airport transfer, room upgrade etc. The staff seem to be consistant and dont change very often which is a good sign. Reception staff are very helpful and friendly and I would like to thank Ms Sudarat for her help and really going the extra mile for sorting out a complicated future booking for our friends arriving the following month. She helped out with many questions and did so with a great smile and attitude. On arrival they have a very attentive bell boy that takes care of your bags. Reception greet you with cold towels and a welcome drink, which used to be ok but now they have changed it and it's really not to our tastes and to others by looking at the faces of others checking in also. Breakfast was great everyday but from memory it finished at 10am and it could go a bit longer as it got busy at 9.30am. We had issues several times with our air cond leaking and then not working so we changed rooms in the end but this took some Negotiation to do so. the hotel is in a great location to go to temples Khao San Road (but far away enough) and the set up with the 7/11 underneath is very handy. The rooftop pool is a nice place to relax and enjoy the city view. We just book a corner room nowdays but the river rooms are nice to watch the world go by. unfortunately sitting on the balcony is not great as the air con unit is out there and it is noisy and blows hot air around. The addition to have facecloths provided would be handy. We didnt dine in the restaurant aside from breakfast but have done so before and it is very nice and a great setting. We will be back as it suits us as we use the river taxi, like to wander to rambuttri and Khao San area. It's not on the rail link which is a shame. If you like to stay on the river and want to be handy to temples, close but no too close to Khao San then it's a great place to stay. Also as it is not a big hotel it is a nice personal touch from the staff knowing you.
Comfortable, friendly service, economical, beautiful river view, excellent restaurant, central to vibrant shopping and thoroughly enjoyable. Close to river trade, water taxis, and river/canal tours. We have booked there several times, but unfortunately had to change plans due to other events - this time (August 2017) we finally made it and we will return.
Quiet room on top floor of this clean hotel. Breakfast was good over looking pier and river. Location was quiet but 5 min walk to Khao San Road. There was actually better food and value restaurants on road before Khoa San though.
A nice hotel just by the river. We had a room on one of the top floors and enjoyed a last night in Thailand. Great roof top pool overlooking Bangkok. Nice breakfast and the perfect location if you want to see a little of Bangkok.
We stayed here at the beginning of our trip to Thailand so it was so nice to be met with lovely Thai hospitality from the reception staff and porters who carried our bags to our room. The room was really nice, clean spacious, great air con and comfortable beds, power shower, it had everything you want in a room. Room service and mini bar very reasonable. Location was good, just a few mins walk to khao san road, but far enough away so it is peaceful. Lovely roof top bar and swimming pool. All the staff here are very friendly and unbelievably helpful.
Efficient and professional attention from staff in this excellently run establishment. Excellent buffet breakfast. Lovely pool overlooking the River. Short and pleasant 7 minute walk to Khaosan/Rambuttri Roads. Pleasant balcony. * would happily return to stay here again
I was travelling with my 4yo twins and we had room #501, facing the river and right next to a building site. This made the room noisy from early hours and even on Sunday, and often the strong smell of paint. Zero privacy on the balcony. Staff greeted us with smiles, though it felt it was lacking a 'personal' service aspect, which one would expect for a 'luxury' hotel. For example, ordered a drink at the pool, and it never arrived. Would not consider this a luxury or boutique hotel. Room was standard though well worn - bed comfy, everything clean, though air con did not work properly / was not cold and the wifi was painfully slow. Ridiculous given we had just come from Cambodia and had great connectivity everywhere. The big plus for this hotel is the location - right by the Phra Arthit pier for ferry services and a short walk to Khao San Road and surrounds.
