Friendly staff , a very warm welcoming , but for a hotel it is just normal , our room was a retro room with a vintage bed , the swimming pool was small and dirty with some bugs and leafs , and the AC is not working properly , I recommend this hotel for backpackers

I gonna explain why i gave 1 star review: We spent 2 days in Bangkok and we book this hotel!! Honestly for an hotel was not expensive(with breakfast). But then: I will give you 5 star's to your photographer, because he pick up a trash and transform it to something beautiful!! Even some visitors did a good job! The breakfast and the guys on the reception was the best thing! The food was ok and they are good people.. But, the room was dirty, the smell, you can ear everything, the bathroom was not properly cleaned... Everything was discussed... Even the cars! You got cars on the "promotion page" and they are treated like garbage! Come on!!!! Next time be honest, just say is a normal hotel.. Better taking people for the low price and not the hight quality pictures and well made presentations texts!

The hotel is okay for a budget hotel with big bathroom and rooms are clean. Pool area is a bit off though as it is neat the entrance which was already near the main road and it closes a bit early. It has a good location, walking distance to Khao San Road and there's a temple nearby. Staff couldn't speak much English.

The hotel is placed in a very convenient and wat was most important for us - QUIET location. It is really close to Khaosan Road (we took tuk tuk like everywhere because it was very cheap for four people). I recommend this hotel especially to people who are staying in Bangkok and going sightseeing. We spent in this hotel like just a few hours daily. The breakfast is veeery good! Everyone can find something for himself. The restaurant called 'Cafe De Moc' serves tasty meals. We ate pad thai many times, rice fried in pineapple, rice fried with chicken - yummy! And the prices are not so high however i must admit that something was quite a surprise; you pay approx 17% more due to service and taxes. So eating in other restaurants would be a better option. The hotel has even a swimming pool area. Rooms are cleaned everyday. I would definitely stay in this hotel for the next time while visiting Bangkok! :)

I’m really not someone difficult but this is the worst hotel I ever visited. IT HAS BED BUGS !!!!!! I stayed in a room on the first floor. After one night I had several bites on my feet. Very red. I was not sure. After the second night I got more. It was getting worst. I asked to have a different room. They said they upgraded me. Ha ha ha what a joke. I did not have any insects in my bed yes but the window was overlooking all the air con of the building. So it was extremely noisy. Like I thought I was nearly in a plane. I did not sleep at all. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. I traveled around Thailand and Asia for a month and this is the worst experience I had. Because of the bed bug I had to throw in the bin lots of my cloth. To avoid to contaminate the rest of my cloth. I was honestly scared to have to throw my bag even. Luckily I think I succeed to get rid of it. I contacted the hotel following the accident on the Facebook. Of course no answer. It was more than a month ago... Why I know it was bed bugs ? Because I unfortunately had some 6 years ago in a friend flat as well. I know what the bites look like. And since this experience my body react allergically to it. This 3 nights almost ruined my all trip. Do not stay in this place. Go away !

Ok hotel for the money. Rooms are quite dated, but clean. Breakfast had everything we needed. Walking distance of Kao San Road. Free tuktuk there before 7pm. Staff were pleasant. Near to a busy main road, but that wasn’t a problem for us.

An old hotel located in the town, close to some main tourist attractions such as the grand palace, khao san rd and several wats. The room is okay, large enough but the furniture are old, maybe already used for more than 10 years. The breakfast is good but the hotel staff not overly friendly with poor english skills. The water faucets in room 203 are leaking and the mattress is hard.

Rooms are of avarage hostel size, with a dirty cigarrete bud filled balcony and an awful bathroom. Better to take a shower on Bangkok river, as the water from shower is yellow colour. Old tired rooms. Service in front desk is careless. Only passionate workers are breakfast staff and bellboy. Breakfast is what makes this place a hotel. Big food options and good quality and service. Book this place for one or two nights just if you make sure breakfast is included. Location is awful, as you need to take a taxi or tuktuk to nearby BTS or MRT stations, and there are no good food options around. Cafe from hotel is good, and waiters very friendly.

A taste of good, old times maybe? I liked it, although the hotel definitely has seen better days. May it needs some refurbishment or redecoration? I might go back, some day in the future, if the price is right!

Traveling with 1 year TODDLER in Bkk is ok experience if you have zen mindset. Breakfast variety at hotel is pretty good for picky toddler, western and eastern food available. (No oatmeal though.) Later during day time staff was so friendy to prepare boiled rice soup for our picky eater when we ask if they have anything for babies. Baby COTS are available i suppouse, but king size bed fit easily our three person family and still was plenty of room left. We had PRAM/trollies with us and it was ok in Bkk but I suggest you take taxi (with taximeter) if you walk more than 500 m. Streets are very noisy and sidewalks are not made for walking with prams. Our room had bath tub and that was fun for toddler. Shower hose was fixed to the wall which is not convinient. A hotel with a swimming pool is a must with kids in Bkk and thats why we chose De moc. Take hotel business card with you when traveling by taxi, taxi drivers’ english and prononciation is poor, drivers drove us 2 times to wrong hotel.
