I loved the location because it’s just walking distance from Khao San Road but still very quiet. The room was big and really nice and clean. It can accommodate 3 people. The receptionist who checked us in was really nice too.
The cheapest hotel room I booked for my girlfriend and I in any of our travels in Asia. The place is near the famed reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, Khao San Road, and the Grand Palace. Although the vicinity isn't a 1st world area, we are not complaining as we've seen far worse in Manila. The desk has been helpful in everything we needed from room service to finding a tuktuk or taxi that won't rip us off. They really made our stay a remarkable one.
Could not fault this hotel on much Great central location could walk to most of the places we wanted to visit for such a big city Big rooms shower worked fine Price was good for area Staff helpful had no problems
We stayed at Boonsiri Place for 2 nights and to be honest I'm glad it wasn't for anymore. Firstly, we arrived after a long journey at 9am to be told that we had to wait until 2pm to check in. I struggled to understand why every other hotel I have stayed in in my entire life can accommodate their guests checking in at all times of the day, but this one did not allow check in before 2pm. We had to leave our bags and then were left to our own devices. As a side note the reception staff were not friendly or welcoming when we arrived. We have stayed in Thailand before and have always been greeted with the nicest of welcomes but the staff here looked as through they couldn't be bothered to even say hello. Rooms are very basic. They are clean which is a positive, but even in budget accommodation I have come to expect some things as basics in hotel rooms e.g. hair dryers. The air conditioning in the room was broken and was constantly blowing air downwards at the wall which was a bit annoying. One half of the room was cold and the other too hot. The hotel provide 2 bottles of water for drinking as complementary which is generally done in Thailand but there is no fridge to put these in to keep them cool. Just a thought for improving rooms as no one enjoys warm water... The hotel wifi is terrible. The hotel seems to have dozens of routers and connection points but very few actually work. The only place you get a decent signal is in the lobby by reception. We phoned down to ask the reception what the problem was and their way of fixing it was to have someone come up with a phone to show YouTube was working... this did little to improve the quality in the rooms. The bathroom becomes a wet room as there is no division between the floor and the shower area or a curtain, meaning the entire floor and the toilet get wet. The shower is also rather temperamental as one minute it was warm, next it was cold, next the pressure felt like it was trying to drill a hole in your back... it did not make for a pleasant experience. Lastly, breakfast is limited. There is a buffet but a lack of options within the buffet. One type of fruit and one type of juice, eggs and one type or cereal. Boonsiri Place was ok, but I have stayed in far better budget hotels! At the price a hostel would probably have been a better option. If anything, work on your customer service as the majority of your staff do not say hello or ask if you need any help, even when you are standing pondering over a map.
I am a senior International travel consultant from South Africa. I was looking for a hotel, that was cheap, clean and walking distance to all the main tourist attractions. This was the first time I booked this hotel and had no idea what to expect. Wow I rather impressed with this property. On arrival I was received by a very friendly lady on reception. She kept on smiling and made me feel at home immediately. I was checked in with now problems and my room was ready. My room was very clean and had a huge room with a very comfortable king size bed with good linen. The air-conditioning worked like a bomb. The only downside was the TV channels. Hardly any English channels, but this was not really a problem. Like the fact that the bar fridge was working so I was able to keep my drinks cold. This hotel is walking distance to all major tourist attractions. Khoasan road was a mere 15 minute walk from the hotel. The area is safe and a few restaurants nearby. Breakfast was adequate. All in all I will recommend this hotel to anyone who might be on a budget. Friendliest hotel staff ever. Can I stress again this hotel was clean, clean. I am not writing this review because I received complimentary accommodation they had no idea I was a travel agent, and I did not receive anything for free. Keep up the good work guys. Will be back soon.
I paid for an expensive room and when i arrived there was so much street noise i had to change rooms. The front desk informed me that the expensive rooms are street facing. I changed to a cheap room that was inward facing and silent but still have to pay for the big room. Then when i got to the new room, there was little or no wifi signal at all in the room, despite the router being right outside the door. Their way of trying to solve the problem was sending a guy upstairs to stand outside the room and show me that he could access the internet. But the hallway wasn't the issue, it was in the room that was the problem. Finally on my last day here i discovered two guys smoking in the hallway outside my room. I went downstairs to complain and they said, "oh, thats a smoking balcony" A smoking balcony! Not a hallway! But the smoke still comes under my door and goes up and down the hallway...i mean "smoking balcony." See the photos
Stayed here for two nights. The room was basic but clean. We found the bed a bit too hard for us and the shower could have been better. It was just fixed to the wall in a small square room with a toilet and hand basin in. No shower tray so the floor got very wet and so did everything else in there too. Breakfast was adequate but not very exciting. However, it was in a central location and in walking distance of the grand palace - a good base for getting around from. It was about £56 for a double room for two nights and breakfast, so as I have said, very good value for money. We would stay again if we were in Bangkok.
They saved us being open 24/7 as our flight was delayed a few hours and our originally booked hotel was closed when we arrived late in the night. Only stayed a few hours but the location was convenient, the room was clean and the breakfast was good.
We had a large, comfortable room with two beds and private bathroom. There was a nsmall lobby with WiFi and two desktop computers for guest use. Breakfast was adequate. The best thing about Boonsiri Place was it's location in walking distance to the Grand Palace and other tourist attractions. Also we took public buses, which were a short walk away.
Paid about £33 for one night. Room wasn't huge and the bedding had a few hairs and a stain on it, but the bed was comfortable. Basic amenities like soap, shower gel, shampoo, shower cap, bottled water are provided but no tea/coffee or fridge. I was on the fourth floor so was relatively quiet but I can imagine you'd hear the street noise more on lower floors. It's not in a very nice area but is located very close to the grand palace and temples, walking distance. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English, very grateful that they let me store all my belongings after checkout while I went to explore the surrounding area. Breakfast was also very good, very similar to other hotels in Thailand with cereal, eggs, sausages, bread, fried rice, a chicken dish, tea/coffee, juice and fruit.
