I'm going to just dive right in... Positives: cool common areas, food looked yummy, location Negatives: our room was a dungeon, the beds were hard, the blankets were large towels, the staff was friendly but not knowledgeable and the resources to explore Bangkok was few to none. The WORST part was trying to sleep (assuming that's why you book a hostel). The hostel blasted club music until early morning even though their written rules say "no loud noises after 10 pm." My sister and I had to catch an early flight the next morning, so I was disappointed that after paying for a place to sleep; sleep was impossible. This is a new hostel, so I didn't want to be too hard on them, because it's a cool space and they may just need some more time to pull it together. However, I woke up tired and cranky from my stay there, and here I am writing this review.
Normal rooms with air conditioning. Nice Pool and very good located next to a Klong . Just 200meters away from the River taxi which takes you everywhere in town. Cheap. Would defenetly come again. Perfect to be close enough to Koh San Road but also far enough away for a quiet night
We stayed at Bhiman Inn for two nights, perfect to be close enough to Koh San Road but also far enough away for a quiet night. Staff where so friendly and polite. Was meant to be a fee to store our bags all day but didn't get charged this! Would stay again! The bathroom isn't the nicest but good enough for a few day trip. Air con was brilliant and lovely pool out the back
Found this place minutes after running away from a hideous hotel down the road. It was cheaper, not far from the main entertainment, quiet and spacious rooms. There was also a pool which was nice and view of the river, as well as being next to 2 7 elevens. The air conditioning was a bit dodgy though (kept going hot and cold) and some how a few Mosquitos kept creeping in the room. Cleaning service was excellent and delivered us more toilet paper and water even though we didn't let them come in to clean the room. Thought the mirrored doors in the hallway gave quite a cool effect, and we had a little birdy nesting outside our window. Overall great budget hotel
A budget friendly place with good proximity to Khao San road and the pier. The air conditioning was amazing and worked really well in the humid Bangkok heat. Great for people with mobility issues with a ramp and lift, however it's hard for them to get into the pool with the steep stairs. There is no balcony and the view is a wall of the building beside It. It was good for what we paid for which was 37 a night. Some issues we had was the bed was rock hard, for us traveling as a couple were slightly taken aback to see we were given a room with two separate beds, so we ended up pushing the beds together. Another little issue we had is that to get all power and lights you have to insert the key card and ours was broken so it didn't work for more than 5 minutes which was very annoying. Other than that, it was a good stay.
very good for 1-2 nights stay in Bangkok, pros - perfect localization, during the night it was quiet; cons - average room, expensive taxi from hotel – get one on the street, staff was polite but not really helpful. Overall - it was OK.
Booked 2 nights here.. but was disappointed as pictures on booking.com made them look better than they actually are.. Bad points There's 1 usable plug socket in the room.. Air-con was either on or off as controls broken so couldn't change temp.. Rooms are dark and dated.. Pool area is right by the river and would look like somewhere that's good for mozzies and didn't look like it got a lot of sun! Wi-Fi was very poor Can get better hotels for the money we paid which were based on Khao San Road with roof top pools which we stayed at on our first night in Bangkok but weren't too sure about the noise levels so opted for this hotel instead for our last 2 nights.. Good points.. It's within walking distance of Khao San Road and places like the Grand Palace The room we had on the 4th floor was quiet Has 2 7-11s right next to hotel Beds were comfy Shower pressure and temp was very good Although rooms were dated.. rooms were clean and linen was nice Has a fridge I wouldn't stay here again but is adequate if you need it for a night or 2
Booked this hotel from the airport to save us from looking for a place. Rooms are clean but there is not much storage space, shower had plenty of hot water and decent pressure. One big downside is that aircon is uncontrollable so it's either on full power or then off completely, otherwise an okay place to stay for a night or two.
We spent with my mum 1 night there and in general it was ok taking into consideration that it is only one night. Minuses: the room was not ready when we arrived, the reception lady couldn't find our reservation and she insisted that we have to book again (nonsense!), no breakfast included, very poor restaurant in terms of food, the floor in the room was dirty. Pluses: excellent location next to the backpacking street and river, affordable.
Stayed here our first 3 nights in Bangkok. Got bus from airport 100b pp to Khao San rd. Bhiman only 1.5 blocks away. Friendly staff, clean pool, room serviced daily and from our room we couldn't hear a sound! Hard mattress but great sleep. Walking distance to Khao San rd, the pier 13 for ferry to temples only 5 minutes walk. Very conveniently located. Taxi to Southern bus st for Kanchanaburi is around 180b . We didn't eat here so can't comment. Would definitely recommend.
