We came as a large family from UK and Australia to come to the Y Resort at Penestanan, Ubud. We had a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing time . The staff were superb, and took their time to help us have a marvellous time- whether organising a Balinese dance for us at the hotel for Christmas Eve or impromptu teaching me Balinese phrases. We also used the spa for massages, facials and manicures- very friendly and relaxed. There are also multiple restaurants and coffee shops on the doorstep and Ubud centre a 15 minute walk away. Very highly recommended.
Located at Jl. Penestanan, Ubud. Although the hotel quite old and wear out, still have a nice surrounding. You can feel the relaxing atmosphere. The pool still nice but need renovation, landscape very green and beautiful. The resort location was perfect, a lot of restaurant and cafe nearby, central Ubud quite far if you walk, so hired a scooter or a car will be nice. The resort had a parking lot for a car or scooter..... The room is big and complete with serious furniture like an old resort used to be, works fine but lack of design. Bathroom big too, complete with bathtub etc. Don't expect everything work perfect....I think it's fair enough compared to the hotel's rates. They have a small restaurant with a simple menu and the staff will happily served you with a smile and full hospitality, nice one! They have spa too.... Overall, this resort was old but nice, good location, very good service and affordable price...
We always make trip to Ubud for relaxing from a hustle bustle city where we live. And last time we made a good choice to stay at this resort. We stayed in a superior deluxe room, the room itself wasn't so big with a bathroom completed with a bathtub. But i really love the swimming pool and the surroundings were so green, quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was great. They serve buffet breakfast when they are in high occupancy only, unless they have three set menu you can choose.
we stayed here with 3 other couples unfortunately not the best choice out of four rooms only one room had a double bed even though we requested that all the rooms have double beds the check in staff said they would move our beds together but we said no the rooms we had all smelt very mouldy and you could see on the ceiling that there had been water leaking the next day we got moved to other rooms across the otherside away from the pool that had doublebeds and the rooms did not smell of mould we did report this to the staff but I think for them it was just natural the bed lined linen was dirty my husbands pillows had black marks on them the towels look a little yellow the cleaners well they could take a few more lessons on how to thoroughly clean a room anyway the breakfast was average not a great choice but the surroundings gardens and pool made it a little my relaxing for us this place seemed more of a backpackers place so would probably not return here sorry.
We stayed here for 3 nights in sept and were pleasantly surprised. It's certainly a great place to stay for the price you pay. It was very tranquil and we felt very relaxed staying here. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They offered a shuttle at various times of the day to the centre of Ubud which was good, it is within walking distance though if you don't mind walking 20 mins or so. Breakfast was okay, could have had more variety and much of the food was often covered in flies which was off putting. Pool was great. All in all the place was lovely and we would stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here for just a night and it's a really nice property in a good location. The rooms were a bit small but perfect for us, they had a sitting area outside overlooking the pool. Breakfast was simple and nice and the staff was extremely friendly always ready to help. I'd recommend it for short, affordable stays in Ubud.
Y resort is a very reasonable place to stay. Management are very friendly and helpful. And one can walk from there into the main st of Ubud with taking a taxi. They also have a shuttle bus. I love walking and trying to pass Alchemy every day, was very difficult, their food is so very delicious.
This hidden away resort in the hills of Ubud has it all with great friendly staff. With staff that will attend to all your needs quickly and can't do enough to make you feel part of there Yresort. Manager Yoga takes his job seriously and only wants guests to enjoy their stay whatever it takes to make you smile. Wifi can be an issue but they are working on it understanding how important it is for travellers to be Conected to the outside world. Restaurant staff love there job and show it at each meal session. Komad only wants to make your Yresort experience a special one. The rooms are well equipped and you are getting value for money. We stayed for 2 weeks for business and will return in 2018. Manager Yoga was vey keen for ideas to further improve his piece of paradise for guests to enjoy & tell everyone of their find. We were not disappointed in our choice & miss the staffs friendly ' can do ' attitude day & night. The pool is divine, pool chairs need attention for comfort, but believe new ones are being sorted. Massages were so cheap & Boodie was my favourite masseur:0) All in all Bali is Bali and for a good cheap stay you won't do better. We wish Yresort all the best and look forward to our return.
We stayed for three nights in this hotel. The hotel is walking distance to main area and they provide free shuttle buss to the city as well. The staff are welcoming and kind however it's just normal or lower than Standard. On the first day We feedback strong mouldy smell in the room and they arranged room change on following day which is good and appreciated. But next room has also mouldy smell and some more strong sewage smell from the bathroom...we don't want to make trouble so we didn't inform again... expect all the rooms has mouldy smell. Probably staff are no sensitive of the smell? They said it's normal...the price is cheap and good deal so can not expect much. Other than smell problem, it was awesome. The food is delicious and breakfast is enjoyable.
