This place has the potential to be amazing but needs a lot of improvement. Had a pool access room which is lovely and convenient but the pool is tricky to get in and out of (bad knee) and really needs a hand rail. The decking is falling apart and needs repairing. The beautiful big bathtub is deep and dangerous getting in and out of. Needs a rail. The shower screen has been put in the wrong way. Water gets all over the floor and we needed to use a beach towel each time to soak up the water. The black mould on ceiling and curtains are a concern. The room smells like mould but you get used to the smell. The bar fridge seal is hanging off. The wardrobe handle fell out. Free Wifi which is great. Staff are friendly and most can speak good English. The shop closed on New Years Day which meant no snacks available on the premises. The biggest let down is the Restaurant. Breakfast was included but we gave up after 2 visits. Omelette made to order but cheese is revolting and it is cooked in horrid oil. Most of the dishes were noodles and curries. May have been nice to have scrambled or poached eggs, bacon, mushrooms etc on offer. The menu is the same for lunch and dinner and room service everyday. Every meal we tried was over cooked. Most people we spoke to caught a taxi to other hotels to eat elsewhere. They played the same 6 Christmas carols on constant repeat and by the 2nd Jan we asked when the music would be changed. The staff member did not know. They need to have more poolside and evening entertainment. Enjoyed stay because it was relaxing but I wouldn’t come again. The Serene Spa is amazing.
This hotel first attracts me with it beautiful pool image and the reality not let me down. the pool is great, my children really like it. We spent 04 day stay at this property. Everything is nomal and just standard service. The cont is the hotel location is very good and easy to access other shop, restaurants....
All the time I had the feeling like these were the last days of this resort. Infrastructure, food, breakfast, even massage... all avarage... like there was an investment once upon a time, and they are still trying to survive? hoping the Swiss brand or attractive pricing will save them, without adding antthing on top? Good will was there... but doesn’t help much with bad infrastructure or no vision/mission... staff is helpfull when they see you, but when turn around, its a kinder garden !!!
I stayed at the Swiss bel with my husband for 9 nights whilst visiting Bali. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and would return as I feel for what I paid it was a good hotel. I had a lagoon access room which was really beautiful, however the pool is the main attraction here. The room itself is okay, they are spacious and clean. However, the soft furnishings such as the mirrors, lamp shades and blind in bathroom all need replacing as are very old and tired looking. The bed itself was clean and tidy. The food I ate was pretty good. The breakfast was good however I feel when It was busy it ran out very quickly as it's a small restaurant, and they didn't always replace the food quickly. The hotel Offers free shuttle buses to Bali collection (big shopping complex with nice shops and restaurants and bars etc) and to Gregor beach! These services are excellent and enjoyed the little bus that takes you there. The only downside of this service is it stops at the Hilton first to picks guests up from there so can be very crowded by the time it gets to Swiss bel. The hotel itself Is not very close To bars and restaurants etc but I enjoyed the quiet and taxis are cheap if you wanted to go some place. The hotel also has a little shop that sells juice, crisps, noodle pots etc and wasn't too expensive. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would come back.
Nice gardens and a really good loaction with easy access to resturants and markets and shops, as well as coffee shops. The hotel hasa coffee shop but at the other end of the hotel from the breakfast resturant and you pay aust prices for it. Cheaper outside. pool is good although i found the lounges in the shallow pool area a bit disconcerting as i was afraid i would drop my phone or ipad.
Swiss bel Nusa Dua What a hidden gem. So relaxing, quiet, nobody hasselling you selling you stuff. Easy bus trip into Bali Collection to eat and shop. Breakfast ordinary but enough Awesome pools so big and heaps of sun beds available.
I rented a room with a direct entrance into the pool. It proved as wonderful solution. The pool itself is very clean, surrounded with lot of flowers and plants (even an artificial waterfall) and it justify the name "Lagoon". Indeed, when you swim, you feel as if you are somewhere in a nice lagoon. The hotel doesn't have it's own beach, but only 10 minutes walking will bring you to the private beach where one can enjoy beautiful sand, clean see and friendly natives that are doing their best to offer you food, massage, shade, drinks ... everything you need for comfortable vacation. Being with local people was a bonus to wonderful 10 days vacation. We'll come back!
We stayed in the lagoon room and I have to say it's amazing. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Always smiling and helpful. My only negative is the breakfast and it could be a Australian thing but there's is no real breaky food only the egg man and cereal that I will eat. I'm not a fan of currys and noodles first thing in the morning. Coffee is great though but I guess I'm a bacon and egg kind of girl
The hotel is a bit dated and isolated. Need a taxi to restaurants. Breakfast was ok, but food at the restaurant in the evening was cold and bland. Of the rooms we booked, the Laguna was far the best. And the pool is the best feature of the hotel. Good to relax by. If had time over, probs would have stayed somewhere a bit closer to restaurants and shops. Ok for quiet holiday.
We will always come back! We have now stayed here 5 times, and we feel like we're family. The staff look after us so well. We love the speciality food nights and think it's a great addition to the evening life at the hotel. This time we used the hire bikes to tour around the local area. They are in good condition and we can highly recommend them. Also new to the hotel is a water volleyball net over the eastern pool. It's great to see so many people use it, along with the inflatable toys for use in the pool. The western pool has a shallower section for children to play in. We used the Serene Spa for daily massages again. So convenient to have a pre-bedtime massage!
