We stayed in the 1 bedroom deluxe pool villa, it was amazing. Bedroom and bathroom was huge, and the private pool was a very generous size! Villa and pool was cleaned daily, linen was changed daily. It was spotless. The rooftop deck was so nice to sit on in the evening and look at the stars and overlook the forrest and ocean in the distance. The staff made our stay incredible, I cannot rate the service high enough. Every single member of staff were so friendly and would go out of their way to help you and make sure your stay was perfect. One of the drivers even worked back after he had finished to take us sightseeing as we were leaving the following morning after a quick trip- certainly went over and above! The meals were great, it was nice to be able to eat in our villa or go down to the restaurant. We absolutely loved our stay at the Nusa Dua Retreat, thank you so much to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We truly appreciate everything you did for us!
Returned again to the Nusa Dua Retreat for 2 weeks of relaxation and a rest. Once again a fantastic stay.Staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Any request that we made was addressed promptly and resolved. They are currently re furbishing some villas, but there was no noise that we heard which disturbed the tranquility. Pandawa beach is very busy and alot of building is happening closer to the beach which is about 25 min walk down hill. The Retreat provides a free shuttle car to and from Pandawa, Bali Collection in Nusa Dua and one way to Kuta to the Discovery Mall. Sure, Nusa Dua retreat is 40 min away from Kuta and not in Nusa Dua , but this is the attraction of the Villas. But with access to the free shuttle service this is not a problem. When returning to Bali , we will not hesitate in booking Nusa Dua Retreat yet again. The rooms are HUGE, private pool , large living/dining room, large bathroom with huge bath and rain head shower, extra toilet in living room and large kitchen with family size fridge and microwave. The photos really do not give this property any justice . Great private getaway set in rural setting and great afternoons spent in Pure bar upstairs enjoying the evening breeze and watching the world go by enjoying a drink and good food. Once again Asep ( GM ) and staff Thankyou, another great stay
This was our first stay in this hotel as we have stayed elsewhere previously. Upon arrival have to say not very welcoming we needed to line up before being served for 10 minutes. As our room was not ready we were told to go and have a welcome drink however no one cam to get us and 20 minutes later we were still waiting so another trip to the front desk where again I had a short wait. Overall this is a big hotel so you will have a lot of walking to do to get to any one place within the resort. We stayed in a deluxe room basically two rooms adjoining for 2 adults and 2 children (10 & 5 yrs), works well. Unfortunately feel the hotel lacks information upon check in I completely understand reception would not be able to give you the whole run down of the place however a little basic knowledge would not go astray i.e. when and where breakfast is... As this is a big hotel it appeared that everyone went to the pool in the morning prior to breakfast to ensure they got a pool seat so they placed a towel and personal items to ensure they did not miss out. Think this hotel could have a little more personal touch however overall have stayed at worse .. Internet continually dropped out and the restaurant TAMARIND could have some staff training as our experience here was below par...Would probably go back...
We actually stayed at this place a few years ago, but we stayed at a few places that trip and I couldn't remember the name until I found some old photos with the name in it tonight. You can't go back that far in the dates so I just had to put this month. We booked here using a groupon, unbeknownst to us, the company that was selling the package went bust. We arrived on the day we were supposed to check in only to find our booking didn't exist as the hotel was unable to confirm it with the company when they tried and didn't have our contact details. We were devastated and didn't know what to do as we had travelled all the way there and had no where to stay and couldn't afford it at full price. We explained what had happened to the manager and he said he knew all about this company and it had happened with other guests too. He was so kind and saw we were distressed so gave us the room at the price we would have had if the groupon had not fallen through. I was a little concerned that we would be stuck in a crappy run down room or be treated differently or something but it was nothing like that at all. The room was incredible. I have been to Bali many times and know all to well how kind a caring the people are, but this manager was incredible. I reckon he would have given us the shirt off his back if we had asked. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. On reflection we think they may have thought it was our honeymoon as there were rose petals on the bed in the shape of a love heart and stuff but we didn't tell them that. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Couldn't fault it.
I stayed at Nusa Dua Retreat after a Hotwire booking. My first impression was not good because this hotel is not actually in the Nusa Dua area like I thought it would be (given the name). It is about a 15 minute drive from the hotel to the main Nusa Dua area. Now my room impressed me, it was a huge villa with a private swimming pool, very nice and clean. I was very happy with the room and the bed was very comfortable. The service at the hotel was average and the food average as well. I would stay again, I'm a very low key traveller and felt that this was a good hotel for the price I paid. The villa was very romantic and would be a good honeymoon place for someone on a budget. Enjoy!
A great venue for a business trip, rooms were big, but my room was a bit of a walk from the lobby. Wifi was sometimes weak, but overall it was okay. The private beach was amazing, and the pool was good (although a bit crowded where I was there. A lot of food options in the hotel and in the surrounding hotels. Not much to do outside the hotel area though - quite the drive into the more touristy spots like Kuta and Seminyak. Definitely for beach relaxation.
From the outside, I was disappointed to see the location and the looks of the hotel but when we got inside, I was surprised to see the place was big and had a beautiful garden. The dining room was next to a jungle which was very exotic. The villa we had was huge. We had a private pool and a private deck and everything was big. When we arrived, our bed was decorated with flowers, the bathtub had flowers, the pool had flowers all shaped like a heart. It was like a dream. Spent day and night at the deck on top and looked at the sky to see the different formation of clouds and watched the color change from yellow, to red to black and star gazed every night.
Where to start, the villas are beautiful and spacious. The food is incredible and fair priced. The staff are so attentive and friendly! Best way to end our holiday in Bali! We will definitely be back! 5 Stars is not enough! Just outstanding!
This hotel needs a massive refurbish. We were booked for 8 nights and only managed to stay for 3. At breakfast I found a pubic hair in my Croissant. The Villa that we stayed in was filthy to say the least. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The staff were very helpful but the hotel let them down badly. There were broken windows in Villas and rubbish around everywhere. In reception both bathrooms were out of order, however on one occasion the door had swung open and the toilet was filthy with what looked like faeces all over the toilet and floor. The bathroom door was filthy even after supposedly been cleaned. One day they even ran out of water.
Once again we returned to the Nusa Dua Retreat for a 10 night stay. The staff and management were fantastic and our villa was total luxury. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of both the retreat pool in the morning which over looks the jungle and returned to our room early afternoon to swim in our private pool. Late afternoons were spent in the Pura bar which serves great snacks sandwiches, pizza but also curries and larger meals if wanted. They served good coffee and view to die for. The staff were once again always friendly and could not do enough to make out stay pleasant . They are in middle of a huge refurb at the moment so in turn all the rooms will have a makeover. The size of the rooms and the facilities are amazing and a great place to relax and unwind with the feeling of space and comfort. So much is happening around Pandawa Beach and big hotels will soon be built to take advantage of the popularity, there is a 5 start golf resort that has been built near Gunung Payung, but this retreat is and will always be a little gem Returning next year for 2 weeks of relaxation.
