We stayed 3 nights at The Stones and everything was just perfect. I have stayed in many hotels in Bali and The Stones is definitely one of my favourites! Great location (1min walk to the beach), amazing pool area, great service, nice room. Perhaps the only thing to improve is the breakfast, as I found it a bit below expected; however, the quality of the food was very good. I will definitely come back here in my next trip to Bali.
Very nice hotel with all the amenities you would expected from Marriott. Close enough to the action far enough you can have some peace ( bali is caotic). Breakfast was good, lots of wonderful restaurants within the compound if you want to stay close. The stuff very attentive and friendly. The hotel was very, very good to us. We had a midnight flight and they were nice enough to give us a room until 8 pm at no extra cost.
A great hotel with great food, good location near the beach and just away from the chaos of the traffic and town.wifi in the room is good, A really good gym on tap at the hotel which is really clean and spacious. I would surely come back to stay here again. If i could give 4.5 stars i would but no option
We had a deluxe room on the main floor with a direct view of the pool (phenomenal), and a pool in the room (amazing after a hot day sunning). The location is ideal - close to good pubs and bars, some shopping nearby, right next to surf schools (and one in the Hotel complex). What makes it a fantastic hotel are the staff, the breakfast and location. Price is incredible, too. Steps from the beach, a breakfast which is as good as I have seen anywhere, and the staff are simply gracious and welcoming. I would always stay here while in Bali!
We were celebrating a milestone anniversary while at this hotel and received a wonderful upgrade to a suite that was huge, along with some special treats in the room-such a nice surprise! Staff was friendly throughout the hotel, buffet breakfast was great, with a lot of options. To top that off, staff made me "custom" French toast-instead of eggs, that was very tasty and appreciated. The only negative things were that it was still warm inside the restaurant in the evening and there were mosquitoes buzzing around during what was a nice dinner-putting a damper on the evening. The other thing that we found bothersome was the loud party-type music that seemed to be in all the restaurant/bar areas. For that reason, we chose to eat most of our dinners elsewhere. Perhaps a younger crowd likes that scene, but it did not work for us. Definitely a great choice if staying in this area.
My first visit to The Stones but I had done a walk thru before whilst staying at another property and was very impressed with the pool area - the main drawcard! Was cheerily welcomed by attentive staff on our arrival, shown to our room after the welcome icy pole & cold towel. Check in was swift and without delay we were whisked to our room where we informed/demonstrated on items within the room. Was happy that mini bar was empty, allowing us to source our own items as desired. Fridge temp was only just ok - just but could have been colder. I was traveling with a friend, 2 very comfortable single beds greeted us each night, lovely cool air-con and a nicely well maintained modern room. Bathroom was suitable for our needs- it is located near the entry room door which can be a little awkward when you have 1 in the shower but have ordered ice bucket from room service! . On booking I had requested a few things in our room such as extra towels which were not there on arrival. We sourced these later from housekeeping but the extra towels were not replaced the following day. Not a deal breaker but it is the achievement of little things that make a hotel 5 star. Breakfast was delicious with a vast array of tasty treats, we always secured a table but it was busy when we left & I could see in really peak periods this could be an issue. But staff did everything in their power to ensure patrons were seated as quickly as possible. Pool area was really lovely and this was an area that we used everyday - all day! Sun loungers were really comfy, welcomed the little fruit skewers that came by in the blow up boat, some nice music - what more could one ask. We were well looked after by all staff but one notable mention is to Wawan (hope I got spelling right) who made us feel very special and truly made our stay memorable. Such an asset to the Marriott group is this vibrant & friendly young man. To summarize, our stay was very pleasant & I would return without hesitation. Loved the location, tight security and everything else this property had to offer. Thank you!
My wife and I were there in November 2018 for our 20th anniversary. Facility was very nice and the staff outstanding. Dining facilities were great and food was plentiful and of good quality. My only knock was the location-Kuta beach. The hotel itself is across from the beach, the area is a surfers paradise. But the scooters constantly buzzing around, even on the side walks, made it hard to take a relaxing walk.
2nd visit to the stones and the location is perfect for us. Short walk to shopping area" the beach walk " The service and food is amazing here. love the layout and huge pool. Breakfast is amazing with a huge selection of international food. The rooms are very nice, the pool view has a nice bath tub on the deck with curtains to cover the deck for privacy in cast you feel like a little afternoon frisky time. LOL
Stunning modern hotel with attentive staff and great reception. Poolview rooms with balcony bathtub and privacy curtains are worth the upgrade. Ask for one on the wing adjacent to the Lobby(North) as the West facing ones cop the afternoon sun. Every amenity you need including iron/board, coffee machine and full-size hairdryer. Buffet breakfast is excellent with all tastes catered for. Situated on busy one way beach road but you never hear the traffic. A little removed from the hustle and bustle of shops and stalls but not a long walk (15min) to Melasti Street or the Beachwalk shopping centre. Chemist and minimart 10 mins and Inexpensive spas too.
From the outside it looks like no other than an ordinary building down a very large driveway off the busy roads of Legian. But down the driveway and inside the gates holds an enormous palace of what is The Stones Legian, Bali. You’re greeted with a warm smile by the staff at the door and refreshed with various fruits and beverages on arrival. It’s long-winded pool with a build in swim up bar is the heart of the hotel. Not too mention the all included buffet style breakfast is one of the world-class best. Yes, they also serve ice cream for breakfast. Melissa on trip advisor wrote “Best breakfast, friendliest staff, coolest pool!” It’s a hotel with an experience fit for a king or queen- secluded, elegant and luxurious.
