Lovely large villa. We were a party of 6 in a 3 bed villa with plenty of space. Great staff. Cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels. Great little gourmet grocery within 5 minute walk. Fabulous spa on grounds. Very enjoyable stay.
We stayed twice at Karma Jimbaran during August and September 2017 and both times had a fabulous time. The villa was amazing; the staff ar were excellent; the ambiance is restful, and the location is perfect for a walk to the beach, or up to Jimbaran Corner, or out of the back exit to the delights offered by the new Movenpick development, known as Samasta. Meanwhile, a short 20 minutes taxi ride [depending on Balinese traffic] to central Kuta is also nearby. If you have never tried this part of the island, I highly recommend it.
The Karma Jimbaran was clearly once stunning. Its still lovely, just a bit old and in need of some upkeep. Housekeping is also inconsistent. On arrival we had no teaspoons, kettle, toaster of teatowels. We asked for them and they were delivered within an hour so all good. However, everyday they took the used teatowel and didnt replace. We had to call each day for a new one. The tv in one of the bedrooms had a picture so bad it couldnt be watched. This was reported on day 2 and while they sent someone to look at it, was never fixed. The gas bottle in our kitchen was leaking. They replaced it but it still leaked , we turned it off for safety reasons. All in all minor stuff. The staff were all amazing and the villas were very comfortable. We paid a very reduced price on the understanding that we attended a timeshare session for 3 hours. One of our party purchased the timeshare. If we had paid full price for the week I would not have been impressed but for US$800 it was nice.
This was our second stay at Karma Jimbaran and it was another wonderful experience. The villas are well equipped and spacious, the staff are friendly and obliging and the location is fabulous! Our children LOVE spending time in the Three Monkeys Kids Club with the gorgeous and attentive staff, which is a wonderful break for all of us. There are so many options to eat out and explore, plus there's the added bonus of visiting the stunning sister resort - Karma Kandara. We will definitely be back!!
Great location , walk down to the famous beach seafood and friendly helpful staff. Next door has places to eat and samsasta village Not far from the airport and still close to kuta or nusa dua to travel back and forth Got upgraded to a fabulous huge 4 bedroom villa.. Pool could have done with a clean but overall magnificent place and great holiday.. will deff go back again
1) Arrival. It was mentioned that someone will stay with our names but it was only property name. We had to wait on the gassed parking with small baby before the driver collected his car. 2) "free massage". It is big dissapointment. The person on the reception said nothing about 15 minutes for free only during check-in. We only realized this when have got the bill... SPA itself was fine but we really feel cheated... 3) some of our towels was literally dirty and holey! 4) Breakfast is the worst thing... Waiting time sometimes was very high. Once we decided to come at 7 am because we had early trip... But only barman was in the restaurant... we waited around 30-40 minutes to get our omlets... Food itself was quite average. Buffet would be much more preferable... When we had extra plates, waiter include the most expensive as extra to a bill but the cheapest was part of included... Waiters always mixed orders... forgot something and for 7 days we never had a breakfast when something was not mixed... 5) late check-out. I asked 2 days before check-out about this however no one came back and I had to follow-up this again... Finally we have got some discount and late check-out was approved.
Wow ! We recently became members of karma group and were a little skeptical of what to expect ..... well what a great first experience here at karma jimbaran were lucky enough to be upgraded to a 4 bed villa with a very big pool and so much room we haven't seen our kids for 2 days !!! Beyond expectations and wonderful helpful staff to top it off! So sad to have to leave but we will be back !!
It is almost impossible to describe Karma Jimbaran! What a beautiful resort, comprising of private villas only. When shown to our 4-bedroom villa (29), there were so many 'wows'! The grounds are beautiful with lots of tropical flowers, a very nice pool with lounges, a daybed large enough to hold a family, outdoor shower and large fish ponds. The master suite (upstairs) was large, beautiful with a great view of the pool area. The other bedrooms (all downstairs), especially the one in the guest house, are spacious with very comfortable beds and each comes with its own ensuite. The living/dining area was enourmous and gorgeous! Lots of beautiful artwork, many different places to sit, read and/or watch tv. The kitchen was large but a bit dated. We did not use it much, so it was not a problem. We were missing tea spoons and after asking the staff, they were delivered within 15 minutes. Every morning the house keeping staff would come in and clean everything, including the pool and grounds. Supplies were restocked: daily fresh milk, fruit and coffee. We spent a lot of time at our villa because we loved it so much! The restaurant is okay, food is okay, but a little on the expensive side. I suppose it is mostly there for convenience. ALL the staff are amazing, like in all the Karma resorts. Friendly, professional, and they cannot do enough to make your stay as wonderful as possible....thank you all!! If you are less mobile, you may want to discuss which villa is most suitable for you since there are quite a few steps within the resort! We were lucky enough to stay in the outside villa, so we could bypass all the steps and walk to the beach without too many problems. Just across the road from the resort is Jimbaran beach with the hustle and bustle (especially at night), gorgeous sunsets to enjoy while you have dinner with your feet in the sand. A great choice of restaurants from the little (and cheap eats) Warungs to the more elaborate seafood restaurants. If you enjoy shopping, you will need to find this elsewhere, since there is very little around. There is a very large (but not so cheap) supermarket within walking distance, so this is convenient. If you are after privacy, total relaxation, being pampered, special time with family and/or friends, then this is an amazing place to stay at. If you like socializing with other guests, then this may not be the right place for you, We hardly ever saw any other guests, because everyone stays within their own 4 walls. We are already thinking about coming back with a group of friends. No better way to spend some quality time with those closest to you....
We loved our stay at Karma Jimbaran. It is tucked away quietly just off the sweeping beach of Jimbaran Bay. What we really appreciated was that the resort is a calm luxury oasis, but just a few steps away is the beach with loads of restaurants, beach bars, and all the people enjoying them. Service was great and staff were very friendly and well-trained - you get the feeling that the people working there are genuinely happy to see you and want to look after you. Food at the restaurant or delivered to the villa was excellent, but a highlight was a poolside BBQ with our own chef and waiter at our villa. The villas themselves are amazing with thatched roofs and big open plan living spaces. They have kitchens, but we really didn't use ours much. Beds were big and comfy and bedrooms were spacious. Our villa had no less than 3 outside showers and a bath under the stars as well! Most of the garden is the pool, and that's just fine as we spent a lot of time in it. From the resort its an easy walk up to modern shops and restaurants in town, or quick taxi to more authentic Balinese restaurants and bars. We also found the location great for access to Kuta, Uluwatu, Seminyak and Ubud, and of course it is pretty easy for the airport. Highlights were the BBQ, sunsets at the beach bars, and local food at nearby restaurants along Jimbaran main road.
Stayed for 7 nights and only left the villa for a massage and happy hour each night. Villa was huge for just two of us and so so quiet. The pool was the feature pie ce and we spend all day dipping in and out of it. The kitchen was well equipped but a few annoying this missing.....e.g. Dishwashing detergent, salt and pepper, only one teaspoon. Probably not the biggest problems in the world but we like to cook and we're (slightly) frustrated. The resort staff were lovely, so attentive and polite.....always there but never in the way. Outside of the resort was typical third world Bali.......the beach is forgettable.....covered in rubbish and people and away from the resort was the usual hassle and bustle of scooters and trucks. We would come back to the resort again for a relaxing holiday where you don't want to do any sightseeing but if you want beaches and scenery....go to Fiji.
