Very recommended hotel for backpackers because they offer cheap price. Even the price is cheap but the room made me satisfied. The room and bathroom are clean, the hotel staff also helpfull. The place also near Kuta Beach.
First time stay at Gosyen, the ac was leaked, the electricity was turn off for few times. If we not asking to move to other room, they just don't care. Second time we stay (again) at this hotel, they give us room without tv cable. when i ask the front office they said they have it. but after they come to our room, they just said only that the channel they have which is all are the local channel. It means they don't understand what is "cable tv"....
For about $15, you can get a really nice, clean room with enough facility. Near with many cheap food. I didnt give 5* bc during my staying, the pool was really dirty - looked like they havent clean it for months. Also, I was in room #1, so it is right next to receptionist. So much noisy bc the staffs sometimes talked in loud voice.
Got a room without breakfast around Dewi Sri street that very affordable price is great. I dont think to eat the breakfast since i travelling, then i prefer to try some food around this hotel. Friendly staff. Good room.cold air con.
Right here, right now! Im at the Gosyen Hotel which is quite enough, pretty close to the city and foods corner around jalan dewi sri. Over all was good, price reasonable. unfortunately dirty linen all around my room.
We, two backpackers, stayed there for 3 nights. When we arrived the staff was very unfriendly. Our first impression of the room was good but when you had a closer look the sheets were dirty and there was water all over the bathroom floor. Water in the shower was always spreading everywhere and problem didn't get fixed in four days. We got waken up every morning with a loud knock cause they wanted to clean our room. We didn't answer cause we were still asleep so they just decided to come in the room. All in all the stay was alright and the wifi was pretty fast even in the 3rd story.
Checked in here to get away from Kuta as im not exactly on holiday but waiting on visa issues to be sorted. I was paying 270,000 for a double room on the 3rd floor with breakfast included ! Rooms - Nice rooms , good aircon , bathroom fine , comfy bed , 1 english tv channel , fridge .. i think you can have a safe moved into your room but mine didnt have one. Pool - pool was a decent size and nice and cool .. maybe could do with a scrub the time of me staying here but still did the job. WIFI - wifi didnt work in my room which was a bit annoying but worked fast on the couch under the router on floor 3 and in reception area .. did the job Staff - staff were all lovely and friendly , any questions they had they did their best to answer .. amd i got my gf a pick up with me in it from airport for 150,000 Location - depends what your looking for I'd came from kuta central and needed to get away from all the shop hawks etc .. ate at a few cheap places and then when the other half was here had a great few feeds at a place just up the road Breakfast - pretty average but i think unless your staying in the price range just above gosyens then this is what you expect :) TIP - DONT BOOK ONLINE they have their booking.com prices at the desk 400thou and 500thou with breakfast .. but on arrival paid only 270,000 .. all in all a good stay , just get that pool sparkling and if possible stronger wifi and itll be great spot !!!
I checked in on November 27th late in evening through the booking (the same day) from traveloka. When i checked in, the reception asked me to forward the booking to their email, due to they have not received the booking. It is not a problem for me, as i thought it could be a mistake from the system. Finally the reception gave me the key for room 308. When i get into my room, the size of the room is quite ok for the prize i paid. But i found out that there is no towel and TV remote. I turned on the TV manually and there is no picture (like missing channel). So i was thinking to call down to the reception, but again....i found out there is no phone unit in my room. I had to go down by the stairs to asked for those missing items. Sometimes later one guy came to bring the towel and TV remote, but didn't bring any phone unit. The next morning i woke up and wanted to take a shower, the water didn't work at all, there is no water supply. So i went down again (as there is no phone unit) to the reception to complain about the water supply. The guy at the front office said thay the engineering is currently doing some maintenance on water supppy. And then there is another lady came out and offered me another room to take a shower. But then the guy said it is ok now, he has informed the engineering and they will switch on the water supply. But as the lady has offered another room for me to take a shower, i went to that other room with the lady, but...again we found out there is no water supply in that room as well. Finally the lady called from that room to the front office and had a discussion with the other guy, after she hang up the phone she said that i have to wait for awhile as the water tank is just been refill. In addition to those, i found many spider web in some corner of my room, the air condition is not cold as well, and some corner lamps were not plugged in. It was a bad experience!!!
I was staying here with my husband around early October 2015 for business trip and get room in 2nd floor. I did'nt expect too much when i booked over website with very affordable price. And apparently i get more than i was expected! The room is clean, large window facing pool, clean bathroom, and quite. The hotel was surrounded by street foods along Dewi Sri and next by Pepito Market, so we didn't worry about not having foods around the hotel. Surely, we will stay here again! :)
We booked this hotel knowing we wouldn't stay the night but would just use it to store our bags and shower at before the trip home. For that purpose it was perfect. However I'm glad we didn't stay longer. It's a far trip from anywhere exciting. Staff were totally disinterested - no one showed us where our room was or told us there was a free shuttle into the main areas. But for the price we paid we didn't expect much. Shower decent but it's pretty much a hostel!
