Nice resort villa, great pool & facilities. You can release your stress here... So quite and peaceful. Nice staff... And nice to have a conversation with pak Lana.. But if you want to go to centre of ubud... At least 25 minutes by car. Nah.. that's ok. Keep it up
Stayed (4) nights at Furama with one other couple (in our 30's). We each had one of the lagoon pool villas and absolutely loved it. The continued service and friendliness of the staff was top notch. We chose the lagoon pool villa due to the unique location within the resort and having it's own lagoon was very neat. Parts of the property had a little age, as expected but that merely added to the somewhat quaint ambiance. We didn't even need as much space as offered due to day-tripping away from the resort but it made for a great place to return to. The Padi restaurant had a nice menu selection for dinner and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast included with our stay. Advertised in Ubud, though technically slightly outside of the village limits it still is very accessible and serves as a great base for a few days. We would highly recommend your stay at Furama. If you are fortunate enough, Ari and Oka will be present to assist you throughout your stay.
I would recommend friends and family to stay here. The staff are wonderful, service is excellent. The villa was beautiful, massages wonderful. The food was very nice, entertainment supplied was very good.
I'd recommend for groups or families as the room set up is great to cater for that. We stayed in a two bed apartment and it was huge. Would be perfect for a family of four, with a kitchen and dining table and a full lounge, tv in each room and a balcony too. I wish the pool had been bigger and more sun lounges... It would be almost impossible to get one or anywhere near the pool if the place was full. The restaurant was lovely also.
A really great resort...yes it has that third world smell and yes some of the facilaties are a little dated and a little old but that is some of the charm of this resort. Rooms are fantastic...we had luxury pool villas...they were beautiful...our air conditioning was a little slack but our children's room was excellent. Biggest drawback was that there were no steps to get in and out of the lagoon pool.....a problem for us oldies and did stop some from going into the pool. Staff were beautiful and helpful but many of the key personel struggled with their English! Oka's bike trip was excellent! Very enjoyable. The other drawback was the distance from Ubud....it isn't just a short skip and there is nothing on the street around the hotel in the way of shops and restaurants. I would reccommend this resort but would maybe consider a villa with an individual pool instead of the lagoon even though it is stunning and would maybe consider staying right in Ubud next time.
Where to start... Not perfect, which makes it perfect! And by this we mean that the facilities are great but with that "lived in", "ageing" naturally beauty. There's nothing wrong with the facilities, let us make that clear. Everything works and the staff work hard to deliver on your requests, make you comfortable and just generally look after you. Special mention to Dewa, Budiasa (Budi), Ari, Agus, Mirna, Oka and a couple of the other guys who's name I'm not sure of. You are made to feel like family. Food is tasty, good range of cocktails. We stayed in the Lagoon Pool Villa ( you can find out all you need about these villas on their website). Anyone looking to do some fun activities whilst staying at the villas, but go and see the real Bali (rice paddocks, village, farming processes, Balinese culture) then please ask for Oka!! He does great bike tours, agriculture tours and even tubing down the river by the hotel (after a short trek through his, and the surrounding villages). Well worth the experience and at very reasonable prices. All his tours are of the areas surrounding the villas, can be booked from him direct or reception and leave from the villas; no need to leave the resort and travel 30 min until you arrive at your activity. You get straight into it. Flexible with the operating times also. Just a great all round stay. Would definitely recommend it. That is all.
What a place, think I had the best room or apartment in the complex. 3 bed massive apartment with BBQ on the balcony, which I must say was nearly as big as the apartment. Th View was outstanding and we had perfect view of the sunset... Staff were brilliant and always said hello and helped in anyway. The food was great and good selection. The location is perfect as you can walk across road to beach or go behind hotel and you have every shop you may need. Perfect. So it is great for families and adults alike as you got Double 6 club 100m away too.
We are a family of 4 adults and 2 kids was there for 2 nights. The place is very calm and peaceful as it is in a secluded area surrounded by farms and jungle. The downside is that there are many bugs coming out from the sink hole and everywhere else that has a drainage hole. My kids got a bit freaked out. But other than that everything is fine. The lagoon pool is beautiful, but water is a bit too cold to swim. It would have been perfect if the water was warm. Breakfast was just ok. Service was good, the workers there always try to help you with anything u ask or need help for and with a smile as well
Not a central location. Mostly couples. But I went for rest and relaxation! The lagoon villa was exqusite! Quite a deal for what you get! It was quiet and relaxing! Staff was very helpful! Great stay!
Firstly, the location is average. As it turns out, the villas lack much of what is promised. The internet services were down, with no network in a working condition. The swimming pool lights of the Xclusive Villas were broken leaving the guests to swim in the dark. The doors in the villa creak and there is minimal lighting in the villa too. The staff was good and polite. Overall a poor performance and i wouldnt recommend staying here.
