There's really not much to say about this hotel other than it is absolutely basic in every regard. It definitely fits in with the dirty and grimey vibe of Kuta. Some general remarks: Breakfast was fine Room had nowhere to sit other than the bed Bathroom smelt horrid Mold stains around the AC unit Front pool was nice Back pool had no chairs to sit or lie on The reviews also mention a beach: be aware that the beach is a ten minute walk away and densely populated by local merchants selling soft drinks and sarongs. Avoid this place if you can afford something better.

This palace, also known as Puri Agung Semarapura is a historical complex which was built at the end of the 17th century . Unfortunately most of it was destroyed during the Dutch colonial conquest, but what remains is one of the most beautiful sights we saw in Bali. The surroundings of the temples are beautiful and the ornate ceilings are a must see. Go to The Leisure Diaries to see some pictures.

This was my second time staying in puri agung, I stumbled across it with friends and have now spent over 4 weeks in total. For 120,000 I had my own very comfy queen sized bed, bathroom and shower. Incredible value tucked in between poppies 1-2 leaving you close to all the things you need in Kuta. Amazing husband and wife who make you coffee and fresh sandwiches each morning. The owner arranges you prices to Gili and busses around Bali cheaper than any travel agent. Every time I find myself in Kuta I most definitely will be staying here.

Near with Kuta Beach, comfortable and not noisy because located in alley, clean room with AC and Hot water, free extra blanket and body towel, free breakfast (bread), LOW BUDGET,,, Thanks Puri Agung Homestay,,,

Puri agung seemd like a clean place, but then at night I felt something crawling on me.. I still continued sleeping, because I thought that maybe that was just my imagination. On the next day I noticed many bites on my one arm. Im sure they werent mosqito bites, because mosqitos dont really bite me ever.. I told staff about this and they just said "Maybe the room is not good for you, we can give you another one, it will be good for me and you." But I didnt want to stay there anymore.. On the next day I noticed that just few days ago someone had same experience in Puri Agung so it was too much I think. Here closer is much better places with the same price... Sure it can be that Puri Agung doesnt have any problems, but still I suggest to stay somewhere else instead..

THE worst stay in our travels around Bali. Went to sleep only to wake an hour later to find tics crawling all over our bodies and beds. Some had already drawn blood. No refund accepted. Absolutely ridiculous. Saw the resident dog was sleeping on a pile of 'clean' linen down in the courtyard. Do not recommend. Sleeping here is worse than Dante's passage to hell.

I stayed in Puri Agung with 3 friends of mine for 3 nights. We have chosen this hostel because it was the cheapest (and good looking) we found on arrival. The hostel is located in a small backyard thus the rooms are very quiet. Our rooms were simple but we had everything what we needed. A comfortable (big!) bed, space to store your stuff and hooks in the bathroom and at the entrance door. Our highlight was the warm shower and the european toilet which we missed for more than 2 weeks. The breakfast was very simple, too, but apart from this very good. The only negative point I want to mention is that we had no basin in our bathroom. So for us it was totally ok but I think for some it is not. We have also rented motorbikes at this hostel and I would highly recommend to check them before paying because we did not and they were in a really bad condition (e.g. brakes did not really operate, lights were broken). After our stay in Kuta we travelled to Ubud and we have booked our transport to Ubud also in the hostel. This went very well! So in total the hostel is a really good choice for a budget stay in Kuta, especially because of the perfect location (5 min to the beach, 2 min to main street with all shops, bars, discos), the clean rooms and the incredible low price. If you decide to stay in this hostel or anywhere nearby you HAVE to go at least once to the warung opposite to the hostel (when you leave the hostel turn right and then it is a cute warung with wooden furniture and orange walls). They sell the most delicious (and cheap) chicken curry I have ever eaten, with home made bread - looks like indian naan!!!!

Basic but clean & a lovely family run the place. Noisy at night due to proximity to Kuta strip but worth it for the price. Nice sociable balcony. 10min walk to Kuta Beach. You can rent bikes from the family too.

i stayed with friends, it was one of our budget trips so we opted this place as it is super cheap. i believe it was about 20 USD per night for a basic twin room with attached bathroom and fan. Only stay at this place if you are totally fine with a very basic room and if you dont stay indoor too much. There's no tv and closet, only bed and fan. My experience with the attached bathroom is one of the funniest experience in my life due to the sound of the toilet flush which is loud like a thunder right beside you lol. The receptionist was not really friendly but again could not expect much from this kind of accommodation.

Close to the beach, shopping centres, local restaurants and the more fancy ones if you prefer not to eat the local dishes. Infront of the hotel there is a 24 hour convenient store, money exchanger who is very honest and gives great exchange rates (name Dewa). Their basic rooms would suit a solo traveller it is pretty good at a cheap price, but the room I stayed in needed a bit of plumbing/drainage work the water in the shower recess would recede slowly after having a shower and sometimes with leave an odour, and when I booked my room it stated I would have a safe but there was never one apart from that I enjoyed my stay at Agung's it also included breakfast free parking if you hire a bike which I did from Dewa. Staff are friendly especially SRI who works in the restaurant and she is always more than happy to engage in great conversation to the guests.
