I left the hotel with extreme disappointment and anger.
My friend and I stayed for two nights from December 9-11.
Originally, my booking was at the Le Monet Hotel but was cancelled last minute. Luckily, I managed to make a reservation at the Brent Guest House.
Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted to see a beautiful lobby and welcoming staff. The grounds are restful and very clean. The room was impeccably clean with the essential amenities. The service from the front desk down to the security guard was first rate. The breakfast, though not included, was great.
My friend and I checked out this morning and I enthusiastically gave my highest rating for the overall experience to the staff members.
Then came the let down and the most horrible experience in my life of traveling. I have never been more embarrassed in my life when the security guard asked us while getting ready to get in the car if we happened to have taken the towels with us. We politely said we did not and asked if they could have the housekeeper do another check. We even showed the guard the interior of the car, trunk and opened our luggage just to convince him.
After a few minutes, he said all is well.
At that point, all was not well for me and my friend. We felt humiliated and embarrassed and there was no apology.
I rushed back to the hotel lobby to speak to the manager. I told her that we have traveled the world and have never experienced such a humiliation up until this morning.
