The price was good. The bedroom was good. We had a room, where we shared the toilet (no problem), but we had our own shower cabin standing in the bedroom. Ask for that. The service was great and friendly. The hotel is situated in a small town close to the Austrian border. There is a super pizzeria in the main street called Pizzeria Trocadero. Both recommended.
Family of 6 travelling through Switzerland made an one night sleepover at Hotel Ursalina in Bad Ragaz. We took 3 rooms (one with toilet/shower, one with only shower and one with "just beds"). Free wi-fi, close to an outstanding golf course (but didn´t have time for that one! - will come again!) Good location and good value for money.
Nice clean and simple hotel which does what it says on the tin. The room was a nice size and had a balcony which was a pleasant surprise. It's fairly basic but for the price compared to other places in Switzerland it was to be expected. There's three parking spaces at the back (although they are pretty to difficult to get in and out of so may be better parking elsewhere with a large car!). and free Wi-Fi, plus a Co-op round the corner. The surrounding area, like everywhere in Switzerland had great views and scenery.
Diary a made me feel welcome from the start. The hotel is in a really convenient location close to all amenities. Situated beside the Tamina, leafy riverside walk, leading to Rhine and forest walks. The room was open and it was easy to come and go without feeling that you are disturbing others. It was very reasonably price and excellent value for money.
My wife and I really enjoyed this cute little place. Very quiet, except for the occasional loud guest, which had nothing to do with the hotel of course. There were shared bathrooms and showers, but there were sinks in the rooms, which was nice for brushing the teeth if you were already in your pj's. I would very much recommend this place.
I just needed a simple place for one night. Couldn't have been better, or better value. Very central. I shared a shower and toilet, across the corridor. All very clean. Relaxed for breakfast with a good coffee machine.
Small and peaceful hotel in the center of Bad Ragaz, close to the Tamina Therme, Bahnhof. You can get to Pizol by free bus with free ski equipment transportation. Also you can take a bicycle at the hotel - the price is 8 francs per day. Some rooms do not have a toilet, but using a toilet at the floor is comfortable enough - the environment is very domestic. You will have a bathrobe if you stay in that kind of room. Some rooms have a wonderful therrace with mountain view. Hotel proprietors are very pleasant, they can provide you all nesessary information about the town and resort.
My wife and I spent a couple of peaceful days in Bad Ragaz without our children, as part of a package booked via a Swiss tourism website. The package included a 3 day travel pass, 2 one day ski passes (one day at Pizol and one day at Flumserberg, a little further away) and a half day pass to the thermal baths. Whilst the overall package turned out to be slightly overpriced (i.e. we could have put it together ourselves more cheaply), we did enjoy the hotel very much. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room spacious, light and comfortable, and the breakfast enjoyable. The hotel is on a quiet road beside the river, but only a short walk from the town centre. The recently renovated spa was really stunning and very relaxing. Pizol is a small but very modern ski area. The snow was brilliant and there was almost no one else there. Flumserberg is a bigger ski area, popular with the locals and apparently very busy most weekends. We were there on a Friday and did not have to queue at all. The restaurants were very reasonable compared with some of the more well known tourist ski resorts.
We stayed here for one overnight after having visited the Spa for the day and just wanted a nice hotel that wasn’t too expensive for the evening. The Ursulina delivered this in a quaint hotel with lovely owners. It’s located along a small river two minutes from the town center that flows into the Rhine about a mile away (a very nice walk), which provides the only noise, which was actually quite pleasant to fall asleep to. Our room was simple but spacious and very cute. The owners were very nice and helpful in offering us suggestions for eating on a night when not much was open. One word of caution for those with allergies: they do allow dogs, who breakfast with you! The breakfast buffet was good and fairly extensive, but I unfortunately couldn’t enjoy it long due to the dog under the next table. Otherwise, this was a lovely B&B to stay at.
Prijs kwaliteit goed, goed ontbijt ook ruime kamer natuurlijk blijft zwitserland een duurdere aangelegenheid, toch ook een mooi centrum met dit jaar veel kunstwerken te bezichtigen. hotel rustig gelegen.
