Such a beautiful hotel. The gardens were so lush, the scenery was gorgeous, and the location is the best of all. Also, the breakfast omelette and coffee was delicious. I'll make sure to book this hotel again next time I visit. Thanks for making a lasting impression.

Loved the location, the room was very nice (especially the bathroom), and the staff were competent and friendly. The free breakfast was excellent, the wine and cheese happy hour was a nice touch, and the "extras" we received (Avalon tour, mini-golf rounds, etc.) were very much appreciated. So why a two-star review? Because we could clearly hear every word, step and television commercial emanating from the rooms above and next to us, and from the courtyard outside our door. We couldn't think straight, much less sleep, while we were in our room, and ultimately that's the single most important thing a hotel has to get right, in our opinion.

Start to finish, amazing place to stay. Great breakfast (included!), quiet & roomy room, lovely communal spaces. They even stored our bags for the last day b/c we didn't leave until nighttime and didn't want to lug our bags around - and offered to deliver to the boat before we left.

Close to everything. Staff was extremely nice minus the blond lady @ front desk.

Not sure if I'm rating this hotel properly. This is my 2nd stay in Catalina Island and I'm learning that hotel rooms are small here but it's one of my let peeves I need open space and did not find it here, other than that this hotel was perfect. Many pros , the patio seating outside of the rooms, the courtyard that my children played in, the awesome breakfast that had great variety, the complimentary wine and cheese hour, excellent and attentive staff , they were especially gracious to my children ( especially Leticia who my children gave a hug goodbye to on our way out ) , the closeness to the beach, restaurants, shops and pier. I would def recommend this hotel to a friend s d would stay here again without a doubt. Thanks for a great stay Pavilion.

Perfect location & a beautiful property! Will be coming back for sure very soon! Love the wine & cheese time & the breakfast is far more than continental!!

I am so glad that I followed my instinct and paid a tiny bit more to stay at this hotel. Everything about it was wonderful! The location is perfect, a short walk from the pier and right in the center of town. The hotel staff were genuine, friendly and helpful with directions and storing our luggage until we caught our boat ride back home. We had a King Delux room downstairs which was gorgeous with our own private patio. The grounds were immaculate. Breakfast was way better than your average hotel "free breakfast." My only regret is that we couldn't stay one more night to enjoy the fire pit and have breakfast on our patio. The next time I visit Catalina, I will stay at the Psvilion!!

About two hundred yards from Ferry Terminal to the Hotel, less than five minute walk. At the Pier, Marciano was there to take our bags to the Hotel. Very convenient to everything, restaurants, coffee shops, snack shops. You were able to book tours right at the Hotel, very easy. I will definitely go back to the Pavilion. We were extremely pleased with our stay

Excellent Location, the hotel on walkside Rooms smaller than I thought.

Best location in Avalon. Beautiful spacious common areas (included breakfast daily in the library, fire pit with sitting area, lawn area in sun on grass across from the beach). Best rooms in Avalon (big by Avalon standards, clean, shower and tub, turn down service, free bottled water, refrigerator in room, free Wi-Fi).

Hotel staff was 5 stars all the way around from the front desk people to the bellman to the servers. All were so friendly, extremely accommodating and hospitable. I can't say enough about how wonderful they treated us and helped us in any way they could. I love this hotel. It's cute and quaint. Most hotels on the island are older so I didn't expect overly updated rooms. If you realize that ahead you will be content. I've been to others that were far from pleasing. My only wish is that all rooms had a patio and extreme wish to have views. I couldn't tell from online that the 'cheaper' rooms don't have a patio and definitely don't have a view. And I feel these rooms should be cheaper especially before June. But I still would try to stay here over other hotels. May try a house rental next time.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pavilion Hotel. Very convenient and location is great. The hotel is excellent. Staffs are very nice and helpful. We had a wonderful time!

We loved it here. Continental breakfast and wine and cheese later make for a great value. Great location nice rooms Wish they in demand though

Very nice staff attention to detail love the free cheese and wine

Fun times with my niece and sister. Hotel was small but nice.

I booked this hotel mainly based on availability and price, as well as decent online reviews. This hotel was fabulous. Located right on Crescent with all the shops and restaurants and directly across from South Beach, it's arranged so that that rooms extend back away from the street around a lovely tropical courtyard. You truly escape from the hustle and noise of the people and golf carts when you are ready to. They include an excellent breakfast with good coffee and espresso, wine and cheese in the afternoons, turn down service with bottled water and chocolates, all included. The staff, from the front desk to the housekeepers, were accommodating, friendly and helpful. Our room was basic, (no view,) in the back of the hotel and very quiet, clean and fresh. The beds were comfortable and there is a coffeemaker and mini-fridge in the room. They allowed us to check in early and even extend check-out by an hour, and stored our luggage so we could go to the beach before we caught the ferry in the afternoon. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Catalina.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and clean, the grounds were beautiful, the location was great and the afternoon wine and cheese was wonderful.

Great location right on bay front, they do cheese and wine in the late afternoon. The breakfast is really nice, with a staff assisted expresso machine on site. Yep, latte it up. Im very frequent in Avalon and these winter rates are unheard of , grab it. Tip: Catalina Express will carry you for head tax on your birthday, combine and have a great overnight stay and steal it..

Overall, this hotel was above average in most ways. The landscaping is gorgeous, continental breakfast and wine reception quite nice and it is great to walk out onto one's own lanai on the lower level. Our trip was timed for an extra day, which was Monday, and the wake-up early morning was construction noice, vibrations and men's voices. When we commented at check out, were offered a tour, which was not at all helpful, as it was time to catch our Catalina Express. No one wants to pay for an extra morning of construction zone racket.
