This charming Catalina Island 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath, two-story house, centrally located in Avalon - especially if you like being close to grocery store, country club, golf course and just a short walk to the beach, restaurant and shops.

The interior is light and bright with a large living space, classic style living room, small breakfast table, and lots of comfortable seating with flat screen TV. Plus, a full bathroom on the first floor.

A fully stocked kitchen, with all the appliances, including fridge, oven, microwave, and everything else you need to create meals and snacks for those you are vacationing with. A second dining table for 6 completes the great room so everyone can easily eat inside as they reconnect with one another while cooking.

There are 2 bedrooms in this home – first room has a queen and twin bed, with 1.5 bathroom. There are 2 twin beds in the second bedroom, and 1 single queen bed in another bedroom, so this home comfortably sleeps 6 in beds. There is also two full hallway bath - and all bed and bathrooms are furnished with towels and linens to ensure you are always comfortable.

Great Avalon Beach Getaway Spot

Great location, walking distance to just about everything you need in Avalon. We have 3 kids and the house worked well for our family. Washing machine wasn't working while we were there, but everything else worked just fine.

Great location

This property is in a good location. Beds were comfortable. There were a few minor issues with property: the bottom drawer in oven doesn’t close properly, one of the knobs on the stove pops off, the downstairs bathroom and only one with a shower has a pocket door that sometimes closes and sometimes doesn’t stay closed & you cannot lock it, one of the chairs at table in livingroom is coming apart and needs repair before it actually breaks- (we put it aside and did t use). Overall the home is very cheaply done and corners were cut. Definitely one of the worst VRBO’s we’ve rented over the years as far as how property is taken care of and what is provided but it didnt ruin our time there and we were happy to sleep in a comfortable bed at night. No spatula so had to buy one. No bbq or beach chairs to use. Property was clean upon arrival. When advising property manager regarding the few issues (mainly the bathroom door) they never responded to text, only by email and then never contacted us to make arrangements to come check it out or repair.

Not sure how to rate this. It was clean and beds were fine. Main living space was nice. On that note though, the house definitely seemed like it was flipped to be a money maker with zero attention to detail. Doors couldn't close, the 2nd floor bathroom has no light fixture and no door, rendering it mostly useless for a shared bedroom. They literally put a toilet and sink into a closet. Top bedroom door doesn't close because trim goes around the frame of the door. Most wall sockets are pushed in, so the owners or whoever just ran extension cords from them. An external conduit on the ceiling of the narrow staircase caused my 5'9 husband to nail his head on it coming out of the bedroom. It's painted into the ceiling so you couldnt tell it stuck out. The transition pieces on the stairs won't last very long, they crackled and felt like they would break off with every step. All minor stuff, but as homeowners we couldn't help but notice the lack of quality. But I mean, overall it was fine for a 3 day stay, which is all it was meant to be for I'm sure.
