The hotel is ok. How helpful the staff is will depend on who you get behind the counter- two of the girls were helpful, one girl didn’t know anything to any questions asked of her. The room was fine and clean but hair dryer in my room was broken, and also no shower gel (had to ask front desk to fill it up for me) and like one pump of hand soap left- why isn’t this automatically refilled when housekeeping comes?

We enjoyed our stay at Le Maxime. The hotel was easy to find, the staff was welcoming and pleasant to chat with. The path along the River, just across the street, is excellent for running walking and biking. We would definitely return to this property.

We had a fantastic stay. Location is superb, 5 min stroll to old town and Cathedral. Parking outside free of charge after 7 pm or you can pay at the hotel. Great location opposite the river. On site parking at €13.50 but well worth the cost. Staff were very friendly and polite. Room was good although no internet available. Walkable to all sites. Breakfast was plentiful and great variety. Well worth a visit.

Overall we had a lovely stay here but guests should know that the “river view” is blocked by trees in the summer, so it’s not worth paying extra for that! Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable. Room was a bit dark and needs new carpet. Close to old town and an easy walk from the train station so it was a good location for us. Enjoyed many walks along the river.
